Nice rental unit and it had everything we needed. The rollaway bed was broken and that would’ve been nice if we had it in working order. Located in a very good location in the garden district.

I really struggled over whether or not I should leave a review. I will say that before I chose this place I did read all the reviews because one of my main concerns was safety. I’ve never been to New Orleans so naturally I would focus on safety as a main concern for the place I chose to stay. What almost none of the reviews mentioned is that there is a tent city outside the door and a friendly homeless family that lives literally on the doorstep. They were pretty harmless and we didn’t mind sharing our leftover foods with them. Every Uber driver I had was surprised to see that this was where I was staying. They all agreed like all the reviews that it was a great location but not the safest area to stay. If you’re coming to New Orleans and plan on being out late I would recommend catching an Uber or lyft back to this location. I caught the trolley a few times back late and walking under the overpass past all the homeless and sketchy people was a little frightening but we made it back safely. On to the house…. The house is what you would expect for the area. The downstairs floors are uneven which is to be expected from all the flooding in the area. The furnishings are a bit dated. One thing I would recommend is being sure to call the owners if you find anything out of place or not cleaned to your standards. I didn’t really mention any of this because it was minor issues like some dirty sheets and whatnot. Lesson learned. Be sure to call for anything you might find out of place. I didn’t count the curtain panels and was charged for 4 of them. I didn’t think to inventory them at the beginning of my stay but here we are. The communication about these extremely high end curtain panels got to be a little nasty on their end with the way they were addressing me. Which is why I struggled to leave this review. I didn’t want it to seem like a disgruntled review. Anyway overall the house was decent the location was great but like any new place you’re visiting be aware of your surroundings. If you don’t plan on being out late and catching the trolley back you should have no issues with safety.

the great experience started when I realized that part of our group could only arrive one day later. i contacted the host and within hours our booking was moved by one day without any additional fees. The location was amazing - walking distance to WWII museum and streetcar only 6 stops from Burbon Street. Both units were clean and had plenty of towels for our group of 6. The upstairs unit bedroom was huge and both units decorated very tastefully! The stairs to the upper unit were a bit steep, but it allowed us privacy from the rest of the group :) We had a great spring break, and definitely recommend!

Upon arrival, the cleanup crew was in the house cleaning at 4pm, when our check-in was at 3:30 pm. Area wasn't the best, however we didn't have any issues and had an enjoyable time. The house is split into two separate living spaces so not that great when booking a large group in terms of being together like a traditional house. With all that being said I would stay again if in the area.

We rented both units at this property and it was wonderful. We put the teenagers/early 20s yr old children in one unit and we stayed in the other. Everything was perfect. We will be returning. The host communicated in a timely manner and answered all questions I had.

We rented both floors which was perfect. My husband has stayed upstairs by ourselves and all the kids/grandkid were on the first floor. Beautiful unique building and well cared for. Lots of thoughtful touches

It’s set up a little different but was very spacious and plenty of room for 6 adults. Property was clean and I appreciated the private off road parking, although it was a small area we fit a car and Jeep with no problem. The old window/door to the patio is so cute and unique upstairs, although if you sleep up there you will hear the busy freeway early in the morning but wasn’t unbearable or anything a little music wouldn’t drown out. Property is close to a lot and we would definitely rent again.
