Our family of five adults stayed for four nights in January. The home is charming and filled with interesting art pieces. The deck is magnificent, and the hot tub was a wonderful way to enjoy sunset. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay again!

It is a beautiful place! Nice and relaxing! Was a get away for my daughter and myself! My husband, her father had just passed recently and we wanted some alone time for just the two of us. Perfect place and loved all the art work. I will rent this place again! And our hostess fabulous!

This is a great spot. Wonderful location overlooking the water and with easy beach access. The kitchen was well-stocked. And its a quick drive to downtown Laconner which is adorable.

The view was as good as you can find, absolutely amazing. The only issue was, the hot tub went out for the first time in 12 years. Judy, the Property Manager did everything she could to get it fixed, maintenance guy came quickly, but it was a problem inside the hot tub controls, so it needed a hot tub company to fix it. It was on Thanksgiving, she offered them extra money, but that company said it had to wait until Monday.
The property manager talked to the owner who gave us a partial refund. That's as good as anyone could have done.

We had a great time at tipping rock. It is a beautiful location and La Conner is a lovely little town! There were loads of towels and sheets and everything was clean. The little secret room was a hit with the kids. We saw an otter and a heron at the water and picked up many seashells and rocks. The hottub has a beautiful view but the chemicals were a bit too strong for us - it stung the skin. Also my kids found loads of things in the couch cushions (makeup brush, pens, etc). To be fair, if you looked at my couch you'd find lots too, and all the things that need to be clean (kitchen, towels, etc) were, but it could have been a bit better. Overall great place and I'd go back.

I came to La Conner with my two sisters for little girls getaway. We absolutely loved our stay it was so relaxing and such a stunning location! All the beds were comfortable and we had all the amenities we were needing. We particularly enjoyed our afternoon/evening hot tubs watching the sun go down. We will be returning with our husbands and kids next time!

Great house. Love the tidal change - lots of herons. A pair of river otters on a regular basis. Communications were easy and management team very responsive. Hot tub was pristine as was the rest of the house. Very enjoyable ten days.

This house was everything we were hoping for. Plenty of private space for our family of five. Kitchen was well-appointed (including a pasta pot), and the home itself was very comfortable. It's close to town, with several great restaurants, a super cute town, and best of all the house is literally right on the water (when the tide is in, of course). We brought a paddle board and were able to use it several times. We also brought boogie boards in case there was a bit of surf, and were able to use those one of the three nights. The other nights the water was too calm, which was perfect for swimming and paddle boarding. We lucked out with the tides: It was out for mid day, then would come back in over the warm sand during the early afternoon and evening hours, which meant the water was warm. We also took advantage of the nearby Anacortes ferry to visit the San Juan Islands for a day, which was lovely.
We've been to many ocean homes over the years, and this was honestly the best. Our kids already want to go back. I had never even heard of La Conner before, but they are sitting on some gorgeous shores!

We stayed at the house for my husband’s birthday. Our grandson just loved it the moment we walked in the house. He was everywhere and running around and dancing. He loved the beach and kept on want to go exploring and he is only 21 months old! We loved the relaxing setting and enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the sunset and water. Definitely worth a revisit

Amazing property with a stunning sunset view. The deck is incredible and the quite neighborhood allows you to feel safe and secluded. Well stocked kitchen allowed us to cook fantastic meals while taking in the beautiful Skagit Bay. Nearby La Conner and Anacortes are accessible and provide all the conveniences one needs. Would stay again!

While the photos you're looking at are impressive, you'll still have an "Holy Sh**" moment the minute you walk in the front door. The view is unbeatable...inside and out. The owner is clearly familiar with local artists, as their work adorns nearly every wall. We had an issue with a prior tenant unhooking the router, and the property manager was fun to work with to solve the problem. Great area, and getting to town was quick and easy. There are a lot of people who access the beach by walking along the north side of the property, so could really use some blinds for privacy, but besides that it's a peaceful and serene place to stay. We'll be back!

Do yourself a favor and rent this house! Peaceful, clean, comfortable and the views! The pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend. We will be back.

We 4 loved the place. The views, proximity to nature, peace, changing tides, gorgeous art, hot tub, all of it! Highly recommended for at least 2 nights.

Absolutely Beautiful view and wonderful deck to sit out on and enjoy it! Appreciated the well-stocked kitchen. The open living room/dining room/kitchen floor plan worked well for meals and playing games. Hot tub was VERY nice, as well..

Enjoyed our stay very much. Shower cleanliness (lower door sill mold) requires attention. The water views are amazing!

Our stay at Tipping Rock was more than we expected. The view of the sound off the back deck is gorgeous and we were entertained by river otters, raccoon, seals and even a juvenile bald eagle fishing and eating the catch right above us in a tree. So relaxing. The house is well stocked and very clean. Our only regret is we traveled with family who had other places to get to and we could not stay longer. Thanks so much for opening your home! Perfect place to base as birders.

Thanks Steve for a wonderful stay in your gorgeous beachfront La Connor home. The sunsets over the water from the hot tub were stunning and the rock of the waves at night soothing.
Awesome location - nestled in the forest so it feels like a retreat but close enough to everything from Anacortes to Deception Pass to our morning runs in nearby Kukateli Preserve.
Great host — atmospheric lovely design and decorations. Thanks Steve!

Came up for the weekend with some friends from Seattle. It was a great escape, the views and hot tub were perfect! Town is close as well as nature preserve close by for walks.

Loved our stay. House is great. Saw so much wildlife from the back deck. Beds were comfy. We enjoyed the fireplace and the hot tub. We enjoyed the tulip festival, lots of hikes and an orca whale watch. The telescope was great. We did a Van Gogh puzzle we found and also enjoyed a great choice of cds. Only negatives : electrical outlets were loose so charging could be a challenge and Samsung television doesn’t show networks so we had to download a bunch of apps on our little iPad to see the NBA playoffs. We figured it out. Dreamy place we hope to enjoy again. Thank you!!!

If you get a chance to stay here, do it! The view is stunning and it's a close drive to La Conner. We will absolutely come back.

First of all, being so close to the bay and the tides, the birds, the pleasures of La Conner and the Tulip Festival was delightful. I liked the country cabin feel of the house. The layout worked well for my daughter, son-in-law, teen granddaughter and myself, providing privacy and bathrooms for all.
Important to me, an 81-year-old with serious mobility issues, the downstairs bedroom and bathroom and shower were easily accessible; there were handrails on the steps leading to the parking area and there were also handrails on the interior staircase.
However, the two steps down from the side deck to the deck overlooking the bay were difficult. A handrail would make a big difference.
Also: if one closes the downstairs bathroom door tightly, one is locked into the room! I had to struggle with the handle and kind of lift the door to get out. After that, I had to keep the door slightly open when using bathroom.
So I have those two suggestions, however my family noted further drawbacks:
It’s vitally important and, I believe, a legal requirement to install fire alarms. We found some lying in a cabinet. Given the age of the electric heaters it’s even more critical.
There were ants all over the master bathroom on top floor.
We were surprised by lack of kitchen basics - like creamer, Kleenex, and teas. Also the tiny kettle doesn’t whistle if full and leaks when poured. Please upgrade before someone burns themselves.
Consider adding light blocking curtains for better sleep. And the TV is ridiculously small.
No labeled recycling inside house.
Hot tub low on water when we got there.
Please update the written directions binder. Lots of contradictory info and it’s shabby/dirty at this point.
Great location and comfortable beds.
I hope there is some attention to these issues. This great location deserves to be at its best. Many thanks to Judy for excellent responsive communication and assistance.

This place is so charming! Easy layout for adult family if 4. Artwork throughout home is beautiful! Views are absolutely AMAZING! Enjoyed collecting treasures on the beach during low tide. Enjoyed the warm hot tub during high tide and drizzle. Grocery store just 10 minutes away. Lots of time for coffee and watching the local eagles.

This rental is as stated. It was a comfortable place to stay for a weekend getaway. It was clean and had so many things stocked. We had everything we needed, everything was easy to use and understand. The hot tub was a plus! The beds were comfortable and we all slept really well. We would certainly rent this lovely spot again!

We came to this house to use it as a base for bird watching in the region. Boy, did we make the right choice. Just from the front windows we had at least 10 species, including a peregrine falcon and a pair of eagles. The house has everything you could possibly need. The beds are comfortable. Plus, it has that view! Will book again for sure.

This is a lovely house in a quiet neighborhood. Our two families had a fantastic relaxed weekend, and the kids had so much fun on the beach. Easy access to the beach, beautiful views, and comfy hot tub. La Conner is just 10 minutes away, with cute shops and good restaurants!

This is the third year in a row my friends and I have stayed here. There are a few quirks to the property, but the location and the hot tub are just splendid!

Wonderful home and location right on the water. Just what we needed to decompress and spend time with our young adult kids after the holidays, before they head back to their lives. We needed a place close to Seattle since we didn’t have a lot of time to get away. Great beds, beautiful views, excellent (smallish) jacuzzi overlooking the small cove. Nice to have a dog friendly place as well. Only suggestion is if you want to watch movies, you should bring dvd’s, or your own device to connect to their TV to access Netflix, and other online streaming. Only cable and a dvd player there with a pretty limited selection of a handful of series. Highly recommend this place.
