Our stay was amazing! The cottage was simply breathtaking and had everything we needed. We discovered a true GEM 💎 and look forward to another stay. Waking up to the deer right outside the cottage window and back door was perfect to wake up too. I enjoyed a cup of coffee while the deer ate and the birds chirped and ate as well . We were so close to the main Market street. That made it our stay even better. We also to a walk at the Cross Mountain park with amazing views of Fredericksburg and a tall cross that was so amazing to see . If you’re looking to getaway from the city or just to relax this is definitely the place to stay . Thank you again for sharing your cottage with us ☺️

The house was absolutely delightful and well furnished. It's located on the edge of town away from the hustle and bustle. Our car broke down as we arrived in town - bad luck, but good timing because the hosts, Jerry and Lynn, picked us up. Even better, Jerry fixed the car the next day in his shop. We were able to enjoy the wonderful town of Fredericksburg without skipping a beat. The food was great everywhere we ate - Nury's, Auslander, Cabernet Grill. We loved the Admiral Nimitz and Pioneer Museums. The Catholic Church of St. Mary's is a marvelous throwback to a time when architecture mattered. We will return someday. Auf Wiedersehen!

Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Quiet, relaxing, and a great place to get away. Loved the wildlife that came to visit each day. Close to the downtown area. The hosts were wonderful! We can’t wait to stay again!

It’s very close to all the happenings in town but a quiet respite at the end of the day. Well equipped and just so COZY. We made a fire and enjoyed the comfy armchairs! We will be back!!

This cottage is absolutely perfect!! It is very conveniently located. It takes just a few minutes to drive to the local attractions, museums, shopping, dining, etc. The cottage is immaculate and beautifully decorated. The hosts have thought of every detail and even provided snacks! We loved our time on the back porch feeding corn to the deer. Coming back to the cottage after exploring town, we felt comfortable and cozy. We LOVED our stay here!!! We will definately be back!!

The house was immaculately clean, cozy for winter, and festive for Christmas. It is away from the crowd and peaceful, which we like. My husband loves feeding the deer and I loved reading some magazines that she had laying around. We will be back.

This property is even more than advertised, the decor is impressive and the outdoor sitting areas are so relaxing. The cottage was incredibly clean and had awesome snacks to enjoy after a day of shopping. We will be back!

My husband and I have stayed at several properties around the hill country and this was by FAR our favorite. The location seemed so remote but we were just minutes from town. At one point we had 10 deer in the yard. They came every day and were such fun to watch!! I have been quite ill and the house was perfectly handicapped friendly for me. We would definitely come again.

From the initial booking until the time we left everything was amazing. It is by far one of the best places we have ever stayed in Fredericksburg. Close to town but far enough away for some good relaxation. The deer that come up when sitting on the back patio is a nice touch. The house was super clean and the owners are very friendly! Hope to book again next time we travel out that way!

We LOVED this property! It is clean, beautiful and better than described! It is so nicely decorated. It is also in a great location, but you feel as if you are all by yourself in your own little piece of heaven! The deer each morning and night are such a treat!! We will definitely be back!!

The beauty of a stay at the spotted fawn is the combination of a charming, cozy, well appointed cottage and access to sweet wildlife near the back porch. We saw hummingbirds, cardinals, deer with various sizes of antler racks and one little spotted fawn. So relaxing! And Lynn shared several recommendations for top notch local eats and attractions that rounded out our stay. Thank you for sharing your lodging with us :).

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. It was spotless and charming inside and out. Loved the decor and layout of the house. So cozy, comfortable and inviting. Lynn and Jerry thought of everything to make us feel welcome. Snacks, drinks and coffee were provided, along with food vouchers to a great eatery. The back porch was very private and a perfect place to watch the birds that were so busy at the feeders each day. We loved feeding the deer the corn that was provided. The deer were literally just feet away. Five big bucks showed up at once, along with a couple wild turkey. We enjoyed reading the history about the main house and property, and there was plenty info provided about anything and everything you could want to know about doing in FBG. The location was so quiet and very convenient to town. Lynn and Jerry are very friendly, gracious hosts, and we enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Loved our stay. We hope to come again!

This was our 2nd time staying at cottage. It was exactly what we wanted to celebrate our Silver Anniversary. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, comfortable and supplied with everything imaginable. We sat for hours on the back patio just reading and watching the deer, cattle, turkeys and other wildlife

We so enjoyed our stay. The house is immaculate and tastefully decorated. All the little extra touches are easily noticed and appreciated. We love staying here! The wildlife viewing is our most favorite part. We enjoyed the big bucks, does and turkeys.

What a wonderful find this cottage was for our recent visit to Fredericksburg. It was so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping area and head back to the cottage. I don't think I've ever stayed at an VRBO that was as well equipped as this one. Lots of attention to detail from the decor to the snacks that were left for us and tons of information about things to do and see. We loved sitting on the back porch and feeding the deer and watching the hummingbirds. I highly recommend this cottage if you are coming to visit Fredericksburg.

If you’re planning a getaway to Fredericksburg and you want a sweet spot that feels like you’re nestled in your own country hideaway while being just a few seconds from Main Street, this is your place! The hosts are precious and include every detail to make you feel at home. Bonus: they’re dog friendly! The Cottage is so welcoming and cozy. The hosts thought of everything from comfortable furnishings, beautiful decor, snacks, extra toiletries, and feed for the wildlife. They left helpful information about what to do, see, and eat in the area. The property is nestled in a neighborhood however it has an out of town feel while being near everything we wanted to do and see. We highly recommend this rental and would definitely return. Thank you Lynn and Jerry for a relaxing place to enjoy our stay!

Our stay at the Cottage was wonderful, so peaceful and restful. The accommodations were very nicely decorated with every detail accounted for. It was as if you just stepped into a lovely cottage in a Hill Country meadow. It’s located in a lovely neighborhood giving us a great place to walk our small dog, which is important to us. It’s also very close to Main Street Fredericksburg, for restaurants, wine tastings and shopping. We loved it!

This is a very special place! So sweet and just the right size for a couple. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Everything you need is there including a washer and dryer. Every detail is just right and there were even snacks left for us! There are deer just a few feet away on a neighboring fenced property. The property owners left corn for us inside the cottage to feed to the deer. Butterflies surround you on the side of this cottage and the landscaping and gardens are lovely. You just feel like you never want to leave! The silence and privacy make you feel like you’re way out in the country but Main Street is only 2 miles down the road. The property owners live next door but we never heard them or saw them. It was just perfect! We will be back but will try to come for the bluebonnets which would just be the icing on this already scrumptious cake. So glad we found and were able to book this place!

This cottage had everything we needed and more. We spent lovely, quiet evenings on the back porch, watching butterflies and deer. We grilled steaks the first night and were delighted to find everything we needed to make that meal happen. We loved the quiet location and its proximity to our favorite parts of Fredericksburg. A cozy interior with all the amenities, plus lovely gardens, a shady porch, and convenient location were the equation for a perfect stay!
