The cottage was perfectly located to explore St Johns. We walked into St. John’s for dinner and shopping. The north head trail is right around the corner.
It had a great view of the harbour and ships.
It was cozy and had all the amenities we needed for our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the battery and would highly recommend a stay.

We loved staying on Battery Rd with the view of the harbour. It was interesting to see the ships, tugs and passenger cruises coming and going. St Johns is a very walkable city and the location of our rental was perfect to walk downtown. We enjoyed the historic sites in and around St John’s and again Battery Road was the perfect location to navigate from. We will be back.

This hillside, harbourview cottage was so conveniently located, we never used our car during our stay. We walked to downtown restaurants and shops, and the Signal Hill trailhead was right down the street. We had a bit of a blip upon check in, but we were able to reach the property manangement company via phone to solve the issue. Very quiet neighborhood, with nice views.

What a wonderful little house! The location was perfect and the view was fantastic. We had one extremely stormy day and stayed in. Being able to watch the harbor all day while relaxing in the living area was an added bonus.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bakeapple Cottage. Parking was a little tricky but doable. It was centrally located with a wonderful view of the harbour and was well stocked with everything we needed.

This property was just perfect! The view of the working harbor and downtown St John’s was truly lovely. And it was just a few steps from the front door to some excellent hiking! It was a great spot to stay for a few days.

Property was nicely located, could look out to the ocean from living room. Very nicely equipped nothing was needed, comfortable beds. There were four in our party, certainly enjoyed our stay in St. John’s!

We loved having the battery cafe so close and so yummy and so easy to walk everywhere! Down to water and to duckworth. Great restaurants and shopping! The scenery and colourful houses….wonderful!

The property is located on the side of a hill with a perfect, unobstrcuted view of the harbor. Most of town is within a 5-10 minute walk, including several nice breakfast places.

This is the perfect place to walk all of downtown St. John’s. The view over the harbour is ever changing with the weather and the various ships. The house is clean and the property management was right there when we had an issue. The owner was totally accessible as well. The area is quite hilly ( as is all of St John’s) so anyone who wants to walk needs to be able to do hills. We were so pleased with this rental. We would come back in a heartbeat.

A little noisy during the week since the cottage is facing the harbour. Very interesting views of the freighters at dock.

Recharged Our Batteries
A perfect space for a couple with views over the entire St. John's Harbour. Well equipped with good beds, covers and pillows. One mar=tress is firmer than the other. Parking is a bit tricky but NO traffic (and a dead-end) so take your time and it's really no problem.
We loved watching the harbour both morning and night. Sometimes from inside when it was cool and on the balcony when it was warmer. Close to everything downtown.

Bake apple cottage was perfect size for 3 adults. View was gorgeous and the location was perfect, you can link up to great hiking trials to signal hill and Quidi Vidi right from your front door. All the downtown shops, restaurants and entertainment are within short walking distance.
Only complaint is the Queen bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, the double bed was somewhat better but still not comfortable for a week long stay.
The beds themselves are not hotel quality but the bed linens and towels were good quality and the kitchen was well equipped.

Loved all the conveniences included with the Cottage Rental. We are wondering if any of those cottages along Battery Road with the same great view have a wooden fire place. We want to return in the near future.

The Battery at it's best.
This is a clean, comfortable, historic home located walking distance from Water street's restaurants,. shops, and all the good things that downtown St John's has to offer. Rochelle is extremely responsive and took care of all our needs. We had a great time.

Bakeapple Cottage was wonderful, location, views and everything you could possibly need inside the cottage. Rochelle the owner and Stacey from the property company were a pleasure to interact with. Will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bakeapple Cottage. The location is close to everything and the views from the deck were fabulous. The cottage was well equipped for all your needs and communication with the owner was fast and friendly. We would stay here again :)
The only con was having people in the cottage above you because they had kids running around but overall this did not bother us overly much since we were out most of the time.
