Comms via Bookings.com message service was completely ignored. Once I realised they responded via direct email all was good.

Beautiful surroundings, over looking at the wine yard. at the hill top pictures view at the sea and river . Comfortable and clean chalets

super limited services , facilities ( breakfast , lunch , dinner option) no wine tasting unless you book. would have been nice to have a few bottle to taste at the chalet . restaurant only opens on certain days and time . No kids facilities .

Staffs, property

The location was lovely. The lodge was fully equipped with everything we needed. Unfortunately, the toilet seat broke, but staff replaced it within a couple of hours.

The outside of our lodge, could be done up a bit, as it is advertised as Luxury. Shed looked past its best...and seating area, not that inviting. Bathroom window would not open and bath when taking shower kept filling up, not nice...but did not ruin holiday. Also the entrance to the Lodges do not look too good, know it is a vineyard, but a wedding was happening just before we left, and not a nice sight on way down to lodges with crated bottles and bins...do not know how that could be rectified. Second room, small one, is small and not a lot of space for two people to put clothes as no drawers.

we have stayed here before it’s a lovely location and close to our friends and all our favourite places to visit. also you can take the dogs too which is a bonus.

On arrival we arrived to self check in as we did previously but this time we had issues as the code provided was not correct. given time of arrival we couldn’t get hold of anyone. given we had stayed before we had the previous code and was able to work out the new code but took some time and doing this late at night wasn’t ideal. Also to add insult to injury the lodge wasn’t cleaned properly and as a result there was broken glass left by previous guests. unfortunately we found out the hard way with my wife getting a chunk of glass lodged in her foot. as a result we cut our stay short by two days.

Simple, clean, well-appointed and peaceful. Dog-friendly surrounded by country views.
