Located in Friday Harbor, this attractive condo for $273 per night is a great option for your next break. In Downtown Friday Harbor! The Artist's Suite is a lovely, ground floor, studio suite. This unit is equipped with a queen bed, 3/4 bath with a walk-in shower, kitchenette and a sitting area. In the bedroom area you'll find a Smart TV for streaming services. This suite is furnished with everything you need, including a romantic propane fireplace. Sleeps 3 but is better suited for 2 people. The Carter House is one of Friday Harbor's first important historic homes. Built in 1911, it was a wedding gift for a wealthy merchant's daughter. It has been beautifully restored. Located in historic downtown Friday Harbor, it is only 3 blocks from the ferry dock and Port of Friday Harbor. The blocks surrounding the Artist's Suite offer many delicious restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, ice-cream shops and art galleries, all within walking distance. On Saturday mornings the local San Juan Island Farmer's Market is a 5 minute walk from the Artist's Suite! A brand new mattress for the queen bed has been updated in this unit in January of 2021. This Unit has great cell phone reception and Wi-fi. However, San Juan Island is a remote location, and it is good to keep in mind that intermittent, short, Wi-Fi disruptions are very normal for this area. This Suite does not have Air Conditioning. This is a Non-Smoking unit *Toaster may set off smoke alarm. Toaster made available upon request. The internet / Wi-fi at this house should be sufficient for streaming video, phone calls, remote work and video conferencing. Internet Speed Test Results… Download Speed: 14.99 Mbps -- Upload Speed: .59 Mbps -- Ping: 64 Ms (Average of three tests that were conducted February 2024 using SpeedCheck Pro).

We had a good time at this VRBO. The walkability was amazing. Close to a brewery, close to coffee stands, close to the ferry, close to town. We thought the bed was a little lackluster, but every body is different. We usually like beds that are softer, and in our opinion, while the bed had some give, it was more on the firm side which was a little uncomfortable (for us). A little memory foam pad would have helped during our stay. The check-in process was cake, the parking situation was spacious and easy. A fantastic stay overall!!

The house is in a great location and we had a great stay. The weather was perfect while we were there which is a good thing as the place could use a couple comfortable of reading chairs which would be perfect and enjoyable in the sunroom. The TV screen is so small that's it's almost not worth watching. If these two issues where addressed it would be wonderful.

Location is within easy walking distance of downtown. Parking on property was a nice perk. This is a downstairs unit, with a long-term renter upstairs. We lucked out in that the upstairs renter was quiet. Had they not been, it would have greatly affected our stay, as we could hear footsteps and movement easily. Would have loved a larger tv. Only real drawback to the property is the lack of a stove/oven.

The place was wonderful and close to town. Appreciated the blow up bed. Could use towel racks in in the bathroom. Also, could use a new shower head.

Great location and cute property in a well remodeled historic building. To make it 5+, adding Wi-Fi and a handheld attachment in the little shower would do the trick.

Great location but a little noisy due to road traffic. Would be nice to have an area outdoors with some chairs to relax and maybe a grill to bbq. Also we did not have a bath mat.

The suite met my basic needs for my short stay (2 nights). I found the unit sparse of comforts. A comfortable chair with a reading lamp would have been a nice touch. With summers getting hotter, an air conditioning unit would be a plus. The road noise, at times, was quite distracting. Great location to Friday Harbor. And my compliments on the bathroom remodel.

There are MANY pluses to this VRBO: SUPER clean. Well appointed, updated. Comfortable. Excellent value for money. Cannot beat the location, with off street parking, you can walk everywhere in town easily. Lovely old building. Best for two people. other thoughts: We had a great weather while in Friday Harbor (lucky us), so the place was quite warm (fan provided), with the many windows open cools off, but on a main road, very noisy. If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs or such. It is a minor thing, and hardly the owner's fault, just something to be aware of. WIFI is slow, and can't handle streaming, there is a very small TV, wall mounted. But there is so much to do, we didn't use it much, and didn't miss it. One suggestion to owners, a padded chair in the front room where painted wood chair is. It would be nice to have a comfy chair to sit and relax in that great front room.

Overall we loved it. Great location, walkable to lots of places. Clean. Especially liked the little table out front. Bathroom was nice. Just wished the TV and WiFi worked better. I would recommend it.

It was a cute little apartment . They gave us a pot and filters for coffee but no coffee - I had to purchase my own and creamer as well. The weather was extremely hot and there was no ac so the fan they provided was not enough to cool down the apartment. I would stay here again though

The apartment is in a perfect location, walking distance to all of the fun things in Friday Harbor. This was my first time to San Juan Island, and the host was very helpful in figuring out the ferries. The small apartment is similar to a hotel room in it’s size and amenities. The mattress is very firm.
