I booked this accommodation for a snow trip and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage had everything you need including plentiful hot water and a comfy bed after a day on the mountain and even freshly house baked goods on arrival and departure.
The owners of Frogsong are so kind and thoughtful. Their communication is excellent and were more than happy to go above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. I couldn’t recommend Frogsong cottages enough.

Lovely & quiet, great host that bought fresh home made muffins in the morning. No TV but we can all survive for a few days without it.

Very caring hosts at this peaceful property, we had to cut our visit short due to an illness in the family, our hosts were very sympathetic to us, and had no hesitation in refunding the 2 nights we were unable to stay. Thank you very much Meggie and Dave.

The couple that accommodated our stay were some of the friendliest people we have ever met. They were very welcoming and made us feel at home and one with the community. It being my partner's birthday, they even offered to make fresh raspberry muffins for him. The property was beautiful, serene and takes you to a calm and relaxing place away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. In a funny way, it made us feel like kids again. Couldn't recommend staying here enough! Just amazing!

Firstly this accommodation is not a Cottage. Its 1 of 4 units ajojning each other with little or no privacy. Listing clearly stated Air Conditioning, Still does but there is none. Very misleading. Listing also states wood heater. There in none. Not important this time of the year however in winter yes. There is a TV however it's a TV/DVD combo that is broken as was mentioned in another review from several months ago . The deck in front of the unit is in very poor condition . Warped, cracked and raised boards with raised nails sticking up. Overall the property has lack of maintenance.

Missing basic things
The house was nice and clean, though it was missing quite a lot of basic things you would expect. The bread was nice but since there was no cutlery in the room we had to use the plastic knives we got with our takeaway dinner - the dinner was from the noodle box which we got the idea from the brochure on the coffee table and it was pretty horrible; obviously not your fault but I'm sure theres better restaurants in Mansfield to have brochures for. Also it says there is a dvd player which technically was true, but there were 2 dvd's, one was missing and neither of them worked - either the dvd player is broken or the dvds are scratched as they'd get about 30 minutes into the movie before freezing.
There was also a bit of lack of communication in terms of when we could check in, we tried to call a few times during the day which went to message back and was a bit frustrating.

My only regret is we couldn't stay longer. We arrived in the dark and woke up to beautiful nature. The cottage was lovely and cosy. We would definatly stay again.

Cosy Cottage Just Out Of Mansfield
We had a lovely one-night stay for a ski trip and it was clean, cozy and very comfortable! A lovely place to come back to after a long day skiing. We enjoyed the fresh fruit, porridge and bread left for us. Would definitely recommend it!

Very cosy
We enjoyed our 1 night relaxing stay at the cottage. Although the owners were not able to be there when we arrived, they communicated clearly about this. This was our second experience in a straw bale cabin. We loved the atmosphere and warmth on a cool night, and the views outside from the balcony. Thank you.

The room was nice but thats about it
When we arrived our immediate impression was that the place looked great and our host was friendly although the bed was something like a slab of lumpy marble on a plinth of concrete, there was no phone reception, which was fine for us but perhaps should be mentioned on the site in case someone has children being baby sat, the tv have no reception which again, was fine for us but was not noted on the site, but other than that.......
We were encouraged to take our time the next day by our host as they had a cancellation and they were happy for us to stick around and enjoy the property which we intended to do. We were served lovely muffins at about 8:30am and then we tucked ourselves back in to have a little extra sleep in.
A knock on the door got me up but no-one was at the door.
I turned around to find our host with hands cupped against the glass of the double sliding door trying her darnedest to see in calling out "are you in the shower". I was virtually naked and none too impressed.as I hid behind a cupboard.
We have never felt more invaded at any accommodation and promptly packed our things and left. We will not be returning.
Very sad really.
My advice to anyone intending to visit is just dont as the host seems to not have an appropriateness meter.
Rather creepy.
