About this house rental

Located in Cornwall, this attractive house for $1,025 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Prana Residence-Spa is a holistically designed residence provides total relaxation and the transformation of vital life (Prana). It is located on five and half acres atop the forested hills of Cornwall Bridge in Litchfield County, Connecticut, less than two hours from Manhattan. Prana Residence-Spa accommodates 7 guests and features a spacious living/dining room with a dramatic 20-foot high dome ceiling and a signature wood burning fireplace. A fully equipped open kitchen with its stone countered bar looks out into the large yet cozy living room. The residence has three attractive bedrooms, a loft, and three baths. The master bedroom is on the ground floor. A spiral staircase connects the living room to the library/meditation area and the guest bedrooms. Prana Residence-Spa features a large indoor pool, sauna, deep, cold plunge tub, indoor Jacuzzi, hot tub and solarium, which can be also used as a massage therapy room. The Spa facilities are for exclusive use of Prana Residence--Spa guests. Its unique and inspiring structure has made a significant impact in the building industry and has been frequently written about in national and international publications, such as the New York Times. Additionally, its environmentally LEED chosen materials keep the building cool in the summer (without need for air-conditioning) and toasty warm in the winter (with minimum heating). However for exceptionally hot days, we have installed an air conditioning unit in the living room. The area is known for its diversity of birds, including wild turkeys, which one can often view while sitting in the lounge. Its natural landscaping and large boulders, as well as old trees, attract different wildlife including friendly deer. At your request and with an advanced booking we can book a variety of services, including professional massage therapy and other spa services, butler, private chef, daily housekeeping and chauffeured car service. We can also recommend and arrange outdoor recreational activities such as horseback riding, and other seasonal activities such as water sports, trout fishing, canoeing on the scenic Housatonic River as well as bird watching at the nearby Audubon Center. The place is available with advance reservation, with a minimum stay of three days. The rate is $750 a night plus a $300 cleaning fee, which covers the disinfection of the spa facilities after each guest. After you booked this property the host will send you a Booking Information form requesting the names and approximate ages of each person in your group as well as the license plate of the cars that you will bring to the property. Your booking also confirm your agreement to the rules and regulations of this property which is attached.

We have an incredible time escaping from the city to this unique spa oasis out in the woods. The property is one of the most unique places we've ever stayed, and we couldn't have asked for more of a relaxing long holiday weekend. Highly recommend!

Prana was a one of a kind getaway for myself and 4-very good friends. We enjoyed the pool, sauna & outdoor jacuzzi, cooking in the kitchen and relaxing. Noushin is an excellent host.

Lovely, unique home in which to stay. Having breakfast with a book in the solarium was Incredibly peaceful and the outdoor hot tub a relaxing way to end the day. The home had everything we needed and the area was fun to explore. The master bedroom on the main floor has an open floor plan with tub, sink and toilet in the room. There is a table fan in the room but no air conditioning- it was hot one night but the rest were comfortable to sleep (mid July). There are 2 bedrooms up the spiral staircase - one with 2 twins and a small loft, and the other with a double bed, both rooms had air conditioning. There is a standup shower between these bedrooms. The open office area at the top of the stairs was where my teen set up base and he loved it. I would not bring my kids here if they were younger or too rambunctious- the railing at the top of the stairs has large openings and there are several pieces of art to be cautious around. Noushin was a lovely host - walking us through the nuances of this eclectic home by phone on arrival. She is kind and accommodating to work with. There is no cell service at the home but the WiFi worked well and there is a house phone to use. This worked well for us trying to unplug from our jobs. We all had a rejuvenating vacation with a mix of relaxation and exploration. Thank you, Noushin, for being a wonderful host!

A wonderful and serene getaway. The sauna and hot tub became a ritual, and we had a great time in Kent and the surrounding area.

Our family paid over $1,100 per night for 3 nights with the sole purpose of letting our kids swim for a couple of days. The pool heater was broken and the pool was unusable. The host refused to refund any of our money and we have still not received any resolution (our case is now pending review by VRBO). She also ruined our last night there fighting over this issue and explaining how she had paid over $500 to try to unsuccessfully fix the situation from abroad over a weekend. One reason she gave for keeping our money despite was that "unfortunate things happen in life" and she even had the audacity to ask us to help fix it. Even if the pool works during your potential stay, you should know that there are also neighbors living in an apartment directly attached to the house and I think even partially above the pool because you can hear them. We woke on our first morning to unexpectedly find 5 other cars in the driveway. This is not accurately described in the listing. The house itself is unique, but needs a lot of updating and a deep cleaning. The bathrooms had orange goo dripping from the ceiling, the carpets were dirty and the bedding was very old and needed updating. The spiral staircase is incredibly dangerous with very large gaps between the spindles that an adult could probably slide through. I would NOT recommend this property to anyone with children of any age. Please do not stay here. This is the worst host we have ever had and honestly one of the most unkind people we have encountered in our lives.
