My cousins and I stayed at Caroline's property for 3 days to celebrate New Years and it was amazing! The home was absolutely gorgeous, with high ceilings, and came equipped with everything. We cooked all our meals so it was nice that the kitchen had a bunch of pans and utensils. We also took advantage of the board games available and the ping pong table in the basement.
The house is located in a pretty good area and is a 7ish min drive to the Mohonk Preserve where we hiked and a 20-30 min drive to New Paltz. It was nice to be surrounded by trees and immerse ourselves in nature.
Caroline was also an incredibly sweet host. Prior to our arrival, she sent us a detailed email containing check-in information and a list of recommendations for grocery stores, restaurants, hikes, etc. She always responded promptly to messages and was very welcoming. Would highly recommend staying here!

My family truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. I felt the pictures did not represent the spaciousness of the house. The living room has high ceilings and many large wonderful windows to look out into the large yard/trees. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms also a nice size with lovely views of the nature outside. The kitchen had every pot and utensil, as we spent a lot of time cooking over Thanksgiving weekend. The basement has pingpong and other games. Lots of legos if you have little ones. The host provided an extensive list of local hikes, restaurants and activities. I truly want to return and experience it in the spring as well. Thank you Caroline!

The house had nice appointments, we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace and we got to watch a doe and her fawns approach close to the house several times. Comfortable, clean, and the communication from the owner we detailed and helpful. I would highly recommend!

We stayed for a weekend to visit with family and had a great time. The house feels like you're staying in a treehouse with beautiful views of the property through all the windows. The fireplace in the spacious living area was cozy on a rainy day and the kitchen was stocked with tools to make some tasty meals. The beds were also super comfortable and it was peaceful outside at night. Caroline sent a ton of recommendations for things to do in the area which was really thoughtful. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway.

We were an extended family with a wedding happening just over a mile away. It could not have been more clean, convenient and pleasant. I only wish we could have taken advantage of more local hikes!

We just spent a rainy weekend here, but despite the weather had a great time at this house. Layout is great, nicely stocked with paper towels, TP, shampoo, soap, etc. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace both nights. Location is perfect for hiking at Minnewaska and an easy drive to New Paltz or other towns for dinner or other supplies. We all wished we could have stayed longer and hope to return when the weather is nicer!

The Host was out of the country and impossible to communicate with. The listing said that there was central air conditioning. It was the heat of summer and the temperature was 80 degrees in the house and 85 degrees outside. Really bad situation.

We enjoyed the house decor, ample windows/natural light and ease of entry into the home. Dining recommendations suggested by owner were welcome.

Our families (4 adults and 4 children aged 2-6) enjoyed a relaxing 4 night stay at Caroline’s house. Great location for trips we made to New Paltz, meals in High Falls and walks around the Ashokan Reservoir. Shopping is 5-10 mins away. Owing to the ages of the children and the time we visited in early April, we spent a lot of time on the property itself, which was large, comfortable and well equipped to keep everyone happy. The older children particularly enjoyed playing table football and ping pong in the basement, while the younger ones found had plenty of fun building leg and toy railways in the spacious living/ dining room. Everyone enjoyed playing in the beautiful grounds around the house. Bedrooms were large and airy, mattresses comfortable and the whole place was spotless. We would happily visit again!

We’re repeat bookers. Big fans of the location, the property, the house, and the toys for the kids. Caroline was especially great as we had to deal with a furnace hiccup but she was able to get it serviced quickly and very responsive in dealing with something that could have happened to anyone. Will be back.

Had a lovely time with family at this very comfortable house, it sits on a great lot and in a beautiful location. Kitchen excellent for preparing Thanksgiving dinner and group meals - loved the extra counter space and the convection stove). Lots of top notch bouldering made my son happy. We loved the college town of New Paltz, so friendly. We are looking forward to returning!

My family and I had a very nice stay at Caroline’s house. The kitchen was very well stocked. We didn’t use the basement but the upper levels were bright and cozy and perfect for family time. Lots of windows which made it great for seeing the foliage and deer outside.

We had a great weekend at the house! It was very clean, had thoughtful amenities, and a well stocked kitchen. The property was also beautiful with the start of fall foliage and even had a deer walk by one afternoon. They also shared some nice recommendations for restaurants and activities around the area. We would absolutely stay again!

Our family (4 adults and 3 kids) spent a week at the Caroline’s house and had a lovely time. Caroline was responsive, any questions we had – just texted her and got our answer in few minutes. She also sent us the detailed instructions about the house and great recommendations for short and long hikes, swimming places, biking routes, shops and restaurants nearby that were very helpful. There were lots of games for kids and family board games. Lots of fun in and out of the house. The weather was great, so we enjoyed incredible hiking, biking, and swimming in Mohonk preserve and Minnewaska State park.

A relaxing, pleasant stay
This was a wonderful property that was conveniently located to everything we wanted to see and do. The host was wonderful, and sent us a detailed list of family-friendly activities close by, including information about local lakes and pools that were a gift in the steamy weather.

The property is on a quiet road and nicely wooded and private. The house is uncluttered and very attractively decorated, with a mix of modern and antique furnishings. Everything we needed was provided: linens, kitchen equipment, etc. It worked well for our group of five adult women. We would happily return.

Privacy plus convenience
House is located on a private wooded lot on a pretty secluded street. Owner is responsive and friendly. It’s about a 15 minute drive to the Mohonk Mountain House door-to- door. Same for downtown New Paltz. Lots of great views at the house with a wraparound porch. There are plenty of games including ping-pong and foosball. We hiked, Visited museums, and had some meals at the Mohonk. Very relaxing. I really can’t think of anything the house doesn’t have.
