Nestled in McCall, this attractive house for $134 per night is a great option for your next trip. Like a fine wine, the Cabernet Cottage gets even better with age! Furnished with a lifetimes collection and eclectic mix of old and new and a touch of whimsy the quaint and spacious Cabernet Cottage (a once upon a time historic, Stibnite Mine cabin) has all the creature comforts you’ll need for your family of six or a guys or gals alpine getaway to beautiful McCall. Hillside location with established trees is a leisurely walk to Payette Lake and downtown shops, dining and events and just a short stroll from the Pancake House and grocery shopping. Bring all your own mountain fun “stuff” or gear-up at one of the local rental shops. Grab your favorite “Cab” and blend into the filtered sunlight under the pines in an Adirondack chair out back in the large, west facing yard or you can just chill with a good book on one of three covered decks. A Gas grill, and covered prep area for the cook and a few onlookers is also out back. Get rustic and make use of the picnic table; dine outdoors under the pines. While cook creates, everyone else can have fun at a game of Bocce Ball, Horseshoes or Badminton. On a chilly evening get together around the Chiminea to share a story or two. This alpine cottage has three, private bedrooms. Downstairs you’ll find the master bedroom with queen bed and another bedroom with a daybed and pull out, twin trundle. There is a full size bathroom with twin sinks, bathtub and shower that has both master bedroom and hallway access. At the top of the stairs you can relax in the “Cab Lounge” and enjoy the big game on the 55” screen or choose a DVD from the Cab Cottage collection and gather the family after a long day of play or on a snowy day. Just off of the lounge is another private bedroom with two twin beds – a perfect hideout for the kids! Spacious living room has lots of windows, side deck access and comfort amenities including clean, propane heat stove, CD player, reading library and board games. Don’t forget, the TV has Cable and you’ll have free WiFi connectivity too. No need to bring a corkscrew, the Cabernet Cottage kitchen is completely stocked with dish and drink ware, utensils, cooking and baking aids and pots and pans. Fresh linens and towels are provided as well as body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer. Full size washer and dryer in basement. Iron and ironing board.

Our family loved this cozy and intriguing cottage. We were charmed with the overall atmosphere and felt immediately at home. Everywhere we looked there was something fun and intriguing to look at or read. The home was clean and obviously well cared for. Communication with the owners was quick and easy. We found everything we needed and wished we had more time to spend exploring the fun trails and adventures suggested in the information left for the guests. We would have loved to use the sleds and snowshoes but our limited time was spent enjoying the ski slopes! We all had a really great time!

Just what we needed

Just what we needed

We have stayed here before and knew it was just what we needed to emerge from the pandemic and get back to normal. While it wasn't a great weather week, we had a great time. Highly recommended for rejuvenation and all that is available for hiking and lake time when the sun shines.

Visited from Boise for a couple of days up at Brundage...the cottage is exactly as described on the website. Everything is clean, the owners directions were very clear and communication very thorough. We had such a great time there! We would definitely stay again!!

We really enjoyed staying at the Cabernet Cottage. The place was clean and quaint with everything you might need already in place for your stay in McCall. This was the sixth place we've rented in McCall and was definitely the best. The only way it could be better was if it was right on the lake. The owner Keri was great and live close by but we didn't need or want a single thing so we didn't need to call her during our stay. We plan to come back for a week this coming winter. Cabernet Cottage is the perfect McCall cabin

Perfect McCall cabin whether you’re staying for a weekend or longer. Just far enough off of the beaten path but still within walking distance of downtown, lake and grocery store. The owners were easy to contact if we would have needed them but they had everything ready for us, including a bottle of wine and a fire when we walked in the door so there was no need. Will definitely stay at the Cabernet Cottage again.

We had such a great time at the Cabernet Cottage! The hosts were so welcoming and added great little touches to our stay. The cottage was so cozy and really had everything that we needed for our weekend. We loved using the fire pit and the availability of the bikes was awesome! We also loved searching the cabin and looking at all the fun art pieces and books. If we ever come back to McCall, we will definitely book this again!

My family stayed in the Cabernet cottage recently and had a great time. The cottage was super cute and located right in town so we could bike or walk downtown. It had all the things we needed plus more to make our stay easy and comfortable. I would definitely come again.

Our family loved the cabin.. So close to everything.. kids loved the loft area..we hardly saw them ...lol House was fully stocked and clean and just felt like home... We will be back...
