We had a wonderful stay at Fairmount Cottage. The property did not disappoint! Clean, cozy and comfortable. It was a perfect spot to spend our romantic weekend getaway. The cottage had everything we needed and was in walking distance to wonderful restaurants, bars, shops and only a short ride to downtown! Our hosts were very responsive to requests and accommodating. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again next time we come to town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in Fort Worth while visiting my elderly parents. The carriage house was warm and cozy and beautifully decorated. The host were excellent and very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back and enjoy the incredibly beautiful backyard when everything is in bloom.

I can not PRAISE this property or the host enough, if you love antiques book the stay, this home was loaded with beautiful things and an interesting history. Our host Michael also took me on a tour of their private home on the property ….. I am jealous of the beautiful finds and hope I can find some similar things myself. Stan was out of state and reached out to check on things also, they even left treats for our fur baby, we have stayed many places and never had host do anything like that …. Book the stay you won’t be disappointed 💜 it deserves more than 5 stars ! We will be back

The Quarters is a simple cottage that’s perfect for staying close proximity (<20 min) to downtown Fort Worth, Stockyards. Dallas is less than an hour away.

My wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The location is convenient. Hosts are very friendly, welcoming and go above and beyond. The place is as described - very cozy and inviting. We will definitely be staying here again.

Beautiful pool area that is extremely well maintained. House is small but perfect for my wife and I. Place is well thought out with above and beyond amenities. Neighborhood is beautiful and we biked to many of our activities along Magnolia street and the Ft. Worth zoo. Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

Just enough A/C to get through a very hot spell last week. The pool was just the right size and we loved the assortment of utensils and spices to make a few dishes

This house was perfect- the carriage house of a restored historic home and completely redone with modern appliances/bathroom but keeping the vintage look and feel. An easy walk to all the restaurants/coffee shops/ bars on Magnolia, super easy to get on the freeway if you need to, which is saying a lot for Fort Worth! The wifi is fast, beds comfy, and we were welcome to hang out in the backyard-with the pool and GORGEOUS garden. The hosts are amazing -were there to greet me at check-in and give me a quick tour. Made me feel quite at home. They let me check in early and surprised us with breakfast pastries twice. Cannot wait to come back. Comfortable, welcoming….just perfect!

The cottage was the perfect place for our stay while attending the Fort Worth Stock Show. The house was very clean and stock with everything you need. The neighborhood was quiet and very nice. The owners were out of town but made sure to call and explain details for check in and make sure we were doing good and if we needed anything. The home and yard were very well kept and perfect for our family pet. We would definitely stay again next year for the FWSS.

Stan and Michael are great hosts. Cottage was cute and had everything we needed. They surprised us with some treats as well. This was a great experience and we would most definitely stay here again. It sure beats the hustle of a hotel. I love being able to stay at a private place.

Wow. Let’s just say Stan & Michael’s place is like something out of a magazine! The entire process from checking in, checking out, getting tons of recommendations on things to do, truly feeling like family- everything from beginning to end was the most amazing VRBO experience we’ve ever had and we travel 4-5 times a year. The backyard cottage is so clean and so fun. It’s the perfect size and all you need for a trip to Fort Worth. The neighborhood is absolutely stunning and everyone who walks by is so kind. We truly enjoyed sitting on Stan & Michael’s front porch, or taking walks and meeting all the locals. My husband, myself and our 1.5yr old daughter felt so safe and ‘at home’ during our entire stay. Super close to everything Fort Worth has to offer. We will absolutely be coming back. Thank you so, so much to the owners! They’re the absolute sweetest souls!

I could not have asked for a more perfect property for my first time in Fort Worth. Stan, Michael, and Okie were the most gracious and generous hosts and their attention to seemingly small details was impeccable. All the while I enjoy the Zoo, great food, the Stockyards, and the conference I was in attendance of, along with my compadres.
The landscaping is gorgeous and expertly designed by Michael. Additionally, as the “neighborhood historian”, he is an excellent resource for history on the Fairmount area. Stan was a wealth of knowledge on the happenings of Fort Worth, as well as the King of Response and Restaurant Suggestions. Okie, their black lab, is one of the bestest dogs and the most handsome good boy one could ever hope to meet.
The accommodations were welcoming, quaint, and comfortable. The bathroom was small, but three women on a night out at the Stockyards managed; consider yourself warned, but also deal with it. I had the fortune of the bed to myself and it was very comfortable; my comrades slept comfortably on the pull-out. Stan and Michael also have a fabulous record collection you’re welcome to peruse and even listen to. The kitchen has all the amenities you would need. The pool is pristine and a very comfortable temperature. It makes a great hangout spot in the sweltering heat, but do bring bug spray; the mosquitos are ferocious in Texas.
The location is in walking distance if Magnolia Ave. and the Fort Worth Zoo while the rest of the city is only a mere 10 minutes away via rental or Uber. Parking is not a problem at all. Public transport is great, too. We made it to our conference in 10 minutes via rental. My only regret is not checking out more of Magnolia Ave.
If you’re considering staying in Fort Worth for any reason, stay here. Stan, Michael, and Okie make the most excellent hosts and you will not regret your time here.

An Outdoor Oasis in the City
We enjoyed this cute little cottage. We chose it for the pool and location and it did not disappoint. Enjoyed all Fort Worth had to offer but then able to retreat to a backyard oasis, with a wonderful pool and landscaping. Stan, Michael, and Okie were excellent hosts.

My sister has lived in Fort Worth for years but she has a tiny garage apartment, so, with my two young children, it's been hard to find the right place to stay so we don't visit much. But when we found this backyard apartment in the Fairmount area, we were so excited. The apartment is two story, with 1 very comfortable bed upstairs. The kitchen and living area is small, but has everything you need to cook. The garden is amazing. There is a pool (that would be great to use in the summertime) but, since it was winter, we enjoyed smores by the firepit one evening, surrounded by the lush florals and trees of the yard. The kids and I walked around the neighborhood one morning and enjoyed the coffee shops nearby. I wish we had had more time.
The only complaints I had about the apartment were the the mosquitos (it was a warm weekend and they love to feast on me), the tiny sink in the bathroom (while clever, was not practical so we used the sink in the kitchen to brush our teeth) and the very hard pull out couch. BUT, those three things were super minor compared to the entire experience. We will definitely be back - and hopefully for a longer period of time.

Bright, clean and practical. The Fairmont is a wonderful cottage. Michael, Stan and Oakie (the friendliest dog) are very hospitable! The little touches of morning muffins and evening s’mores is what sets them apart. The cottage is located a few walking blocks from Magnolia Ave where I walked for my daily lattes and restaurants for brunch through dinner. My daughter and I stayed for college visit/tour of TCU, which is a short drive. We had plenty of private space, and together time sitting by the pool. Highly recommend staying here. You will love it!
