This little cottage was a gem of a find. It was a prefect spot for two of us and our dog The location to town is perfect to visit the cute shops and restaurants. The fireplace made the place cozy and warm by day and the bedroom heater kept us warm at night. The wifi worked great! We would defiantly recommend and will rebook again !!

It had the cabin vibe that we have been craving! It was a beautiful 3 days!

This cabin was a wonderful getaway for my wife and myself. It was our first time visiting Idyllwild and we could not imagine a better way to spend our trip than staying at the Twin Tree Lodge. The lodge is spacious and clean with everything you need provided. We enjoyed the fireplace each evening and morning. On top of everything else we spent some very enjoyable times in the hot top under the stars. The lodge is just across the creek from Idyllwild which makes it very convenient for short trips to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. We are planning our next trip right now for another wonderful getaway. Thank you to All for helping us plan our trip and for providing us with such a special place to stay.

Overall the property is quite vintage and seems a bit neglected. The bed wasn't comfortable. The house smelled smoky even with it opened up all day. The key for the back door wasn't convenient. Some outlets didn't seem to work.
A lighter was required to lite the stove and the one at the cabin wasn't working, so I had to purchase one. Why have furniture on the deck if no cushions? Finding homeless people at Strawberry Creek wasn't a bonus either. The weekend was a nice getaway, but I didn't feel the value for the $ was consistent with this property.

This property was amazing, the accommodations were awesome. The location was awesome. The only complaint we had was that the landlord seem to walk by often and it felt a little bit like we were being watched/we were intruders.

This cabin offers a rustic charm without being overly primitive. It strikes a balance between modern comforts and cozy elements. I am staying here to unplug for a few days to finish writing a book. This cabin is perfect for anyone wanting to unwind and get off the grid for a few days. The property appeared clean and tidy and rooms smelled wonderfully of previous fireplace fires. Drapes were pulled which kept the cabin cool, even when Idyllwild’s temperature was in the mid-80’s. The main room is dark, but there are plenty of lamps. The kitchen is small but workable and better stocked than most cabins. The tiny oven is functional. Eating utensils are a hodge-podge, typical of a cabin. Wine glasses are light (but there are ample cups, plates, mugs, and bowls – as well as plastic for the hot tub.) Coffee maker and filters were supplied (bring your own coffee) as well as a microwave and toaster. Hot tub was warm and ready for a dip. Plenty of games, books, and fireplace wood. The bed was comfortable There are plenty of bathroom cabinets– and a good supply of linens – plus ample hot water for the claw-foot tub. The creek behind the cabin, just a short jaunt away, can be heard from the deck. There’s Wi-Fi on property. There are cabins in close proximity and, since it’s right off the road, you hear cars –I’m here on off-season and it’s definitely worth the rate I booked. I will be coming back again.

The cabin was comfortable, spacious, centrally located. I would go back.

The cabin was rustic, cute and comfortable. We had everything we needed for an extended stay. The only issue was the cleanliness under items like the couches, tables and bed was lacking. But it is a cabin and we had a great time. Close to town which was super convenient. This would have been a 5 star rating had the mattress not been so uncomfortable. It was sunken in pretty bad in the middle. Easy fix and we have seen this review on several reviews before ours.

Inside of cabin exceeded my expectations for an old cabin. Very spacious and clean and the jacuzzi was a plus. Inspite of some reviews I read, the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed all the windows giving you a great view all around the cabin. I do wish the screen doors closed tightly so the doors could be left open without fear of bugs flying in. All in all, great experience and I would definitely stay there again.

It’s an older simple cabin. Is clean, quiet and comfortable.

This is the first time I have not had a good experience with VRBO. The cabin was dilapidated and dirty.... cobwebs on the floor, dirty furniture and carpets. The mattress on the bed was awful. The hot tub was NOT hot and it had a layer of grit on the bottom. The kitchen was so poorly appointed - not even matches which were needed to light the stove. I haven't used a VRBO through Vacasa before and I definitely will not again. Really awful all around.

Clean. Cute inside.
Property outside great with all the trees and being close to creek. Hot tub worked well.
Mattress and kitchen faucet could both use replacements.

The cabin has cute antiques and handmade furniture throughout. The furnace in the main room kept us warm at night. Location is very convenient for popping into town and back. Access to the property was easy. Very quiet and private.

Ended up hurting my back and we could not go. I rated a 5 because the house looked great and it wasn’t the houses fault I could no go.

We loved the cabin so much! Only thing is, it’s been neglected. Not clean. I spent most of my time cleaning the kitchen and bathroom two things that should be spotless. Paying almost $300 a night you definitely have an expectation of cleanliness. It has a septic tank system and our last night everything started to back up. I called the emergency number but he services Palm Springs not Idyllwild. We called another number and they never returned our call. Back in 2019 someone wrote about the kitchen sink faucet being broken, well it’s still broken. Beautiful location, charming cabin but in need of a serious upgrade. Doesn’t have cable just the basic antenna so you get about 5 channels. We didn’t come up to the mountains to watch tv but other renters should be made aware. Disappointing with the neglected of this charming cabin!!

Sometimes the fast pace of life and all the technological distractions (phones, news, social media, binge-worthy tv shows, etc.) somehow leave us feeling empty. This was the perfect little cabin in the woods getaway. At first, we were nervous about there not being an internet connection, but we quickly got excited for the chance to cleanse ourselves of technology for a few days and just connect with each other through board games, conversations over warm hot toddy’s, jacuzzi under the stars, and cooking delicious meals together. A mere two nights left us feeling refreshed and more connected as a couple. It was great!!!
There was a little bit of wood so that we could get a fire started which was a very nice and unexpected touch that meant a lot to us! It’s the little things that go a long way. We brought lots more wood (of course) so we could keep the fire lit most of the time because the house is very cold. But, staying in an old cabin, we expected this so we came prepared with lots of blankets, an extra space heater, and warm clothes!
There were a couple cleanliness mishaps, but we aren’t too nit picky and we had a great time, so we aren’t going to take away any stars for it… There were cigarettes sticking out of the holes in the wood near the back door, there were some dirty dishes in the cabinets, and the bed was horribly sunken in so I wasn’t able to sleep much and woke up with neck and back pain. It isn’t a luxury resort, it’s a humble cabin…so I was ready for there to be a few imperfections. My advice would be to think of it more as a camping experience, and enjoy it for what it is!! Every experience is what you make of it :)

This cabin was perfect for me, my wife, and my two small children. It was very quaint and rustic. It was clean and as described. The location was great and it had a nice big yard/property for my dogs to roam and explore. The jacuzzi was a nice bonus too. All in all, it was everything we hoped it would be! Thank you, would definitely stay again.

If you're looking for a fancy "modern" cabin in Idyllwild then look elsewhere, however, if you're looking for a comfortable place with great location and character, you've found it. The TT Lodge is just a 7-minute walk from the center of town and less to the Idyllwild Brewpub (recommended) for dinner.
The TT Lodge comfortably slept our family of four and two dogs, with extra sleeping bags and blankets for the main room futons (as noted). Great space for visiting, dining, and family games with a fire in the classic fireplace, and a clean hot tub outside. It takes a while for the heater to get the main room warm, but after 3-4 hours along with a nice fire, it was very pleasant. If you have a bigger group or two families, there a smaller cabin on the property that could also be rented and plenty of room for 8-10 to dine in the Lodge's table.
The kitchen is smaller and the oven is slower, but had everything we needed to cook meals (we weren't in a hurry anyway). Warning, the kitchen and bathroom are far from the sole wall heater in the main room, so wear your slippers in the winter.
Overall, definitely consider a return visit.
A couple items could use some TLC: The kitchen faucet could use replacement, but it's functional. The interior door latches don't shut well and the door from the bedroom to the bathroom drags on the carpet. The ancient DVD player would only play 2 of 6 Christmas movies we brought. The exterior door deadbolt to main room would not work with the house key and we could only enter/exit from the back door off the kitchen if we wanted to lock from outside.
Only true negative experience was that the home ran out of propane one night, so we woke up cold and without hot water or use of the stove. Was very difficult to reach local Vacasa rep in the morning to get it addressed and ended up personally going to propane company office to get an urgent refill scheduled for later that morning. Not sure if property manager failed to notice the tank was low or if propane company missed a regular delivery, but regardless not great to wake up to no heat in December.

Serene and great location
Nice old cabin - perhaps one of the oldest in Idyllwild. Experience was more like camping than staying in a nice lodge. Great fireplace and hot tub. Kitchen and bathroom were substandard. I guess there is charm in 100 year old cabinets and doors.
All in all we had a fun time but not what we expected.

Wonderfully beautiful cabin right outside the town. Cannot reccomend it more. The only issues were: that the oven would turn off if the door is closed too quickily (so check the broiler every time), and be sure to bring eveything you need including measuring cups as the kitchen is a bit sparsely stocked. Outside of that the place is gorgeous and clean, anf the jacuzzi was a wonderful nughttime treat (the outdoor light is bright enough but needs to warm up first). We will definitely keep this place in mind anytime we want to visit Idylwild. Thanks for the great home for our lovely holiday!

Pros: This cabin is obviously very special. I honestly wish I could live in it full-time. It's cozy and exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for in terms of a place to flee from LA for. There is no air conditioning but it cools down the second you open the windows. The fireplace is also wonderful. The small dining table is wonderful to eat breakfast and watch the squirrels in the morning. And it's a small trot to everything you need in town.
Cons:
I read reviews that the TV can be troublesome. That's definitely true. Although I didn't rent this place to watch TV, the nightly news is part of my daily ritual with my partner and the option to watch something while relaxing by the fireplace or late at night if insomnia kicks in is something I'd like to have had. I followed all of the instructions I was provided to troubleshoot why the cable and ability to switch inputs wouldn't work after reaching out about the issue but none of them worked. Someone from the property management team came over to try to fix the issue but even he wasn't able to fix the TV inputs. He mentioned that I'd get a partial reimbursement if the issue wasn't resolved so my next step is to request just that (on top of the second issue I've listed) since this place isn't exactly cheap after the base cost and additional fees (especially after tacking on the cost to bring my pups). I do have to say that the gentleman who came over to try and fix it was absolutely wonderful.
The next issue I had was the bath tub. I LOVE baths but can never take them in the summer at my place because it gets too hot. After filling the bath tub up about a third of the way and relaxing for a few minutes, I noticed that water was starting to leak out of the bottom of the tub. It quickly started to leak more rapidly so I drained the tub and covered the floor with towels and then reached out to the property management team about the issue. It unfortunately wasn't resolved before we left so we never really got to enjoy that either.
The third issue was the hot tub. We didn't notice any issues or lack of cleanliness while we were using it but my boyfriend and I both broke out in rashes after using it. Mine went away which I'm guessing is because I rinsed myself immediately after using the hot tub but my boyfriend ended up having to see a doctor to get an antibiotic and topical after his wouldn't (and still hasn't) gone away. I would have reported this while we were there but we only visited for two nights and figured his rash would go away since mine did.
The two smallest of issues I had were 1) that the only cleaner provided was dish soap but nothing to clean surfaces so we had to wipe everything down with paper towels covered in dish soap or with the dish sponge. Plan to bring your own cleaner if you're staying for more than a night or two. 2) There was also only one backup battery for each type of TV and DVD remote so we would have needed to go to the store to buy more if the issue we were having was due to the batteries for one or more of the remotes being dead. Again, small issues but this place isn't cheap for the average Joe so the bare minimum for this stuff should be provided.
Anyway, although I am looking for reimbursement, I do want to come back and stay here again because it was otherwise a magical spot and I know these types of problems can always be addressed with feedback. But the above issues (primarily the first three) do need to be addressed.

This cabin is poorly maintained and appointed. It is poorly lit ( inside & out), exceptionally DARK, the electric plugs are sketchy & spark. The one heater that worked barely kept us warm. The rollercoaster floors are dirty, furniture is old, stained, dated and uncomfortable. The front screen door does not close & screen is torn, the kitchen is depressing & gross with exactly 1 real wine glass , 3 small coffee cups and old crusted pots & pans. The faucet is about to fall off the kitchen sink & the shelves are broken in the fridge. One of the knife handles broke off the minute we went to use it. Pure cheap Junk! The lower jacuzzi step is broken & dangerous.

Shocked that property can be rented in this condition especially at this price point. Cleaning was nonexistent, a -3 rating. Dust encrusted everything. At arrival had to wipe down lots of things including the dining room table before setting anything down. Sofas and chairs were dirty. Draped clean sheet over sofa in order to sit. The kitchen was probably the worst. Interior of oven has never been cleaned in years. Grease and residue of everything that has ever been cooked in it still remains today. totally disgusting. Cabinet shelving sticky with grease residue from years of buildup, also the partial glass cabinet doors. Only items clean were the refrigerator and microwave. Didn’t even use any glasses for drinking. Overall bathroom appeared clean but shower floor was questionable, did not even use the shower.
Yes there’s a fireplace but no firewood?? No coffee, creamer, sugar, no blow dryer, basic amenities always supplied. Had to park in the driveway since on a motorbike. Driveway was riddled with nails, appears some construction going on. Luckily we noticed before possible tire puncture. This property has the latest check in (4pm) and the earliest check out (10am) as well. The cabin itself is definitely rustic which adds to the charm and good location to town. Property does not reflect pride of ownership especially the interior. So sorry to say cannot recommend.

Hi Thank You SO MUCH,
We had a wonderful time in this great "home away from Home" it was a birthday gift To the American Legion Commissioner of Media & Communications& Business Development for the Department of the State of California. The pleasant surprise we had was to learn that the American Legion Post 800 was walking distance from the Lodge! We walked there with Mr DeMaio's Service Dog 🐕🦺 (CoCo Bear) and met with the local Commander Mr. Paul White and member veterans from this region! WOW, we feel so blessed. The Hot Tub was Fabulous and the the fire 🔥 place and comfortable bed and quaint kitchen was perfect.
We will Love to Book Again and return sometime soon you are the BEST, thank you for your professionalism & kindness.

This cabin is like a trip into yesteryear with wood floors, walls, and ceiling. I’ll guess it is 90-100 years old. Lots of charm. Even though it’s a one bedroom, the living room is absolutely huge and has a couple of fold down beds. Perfect for a dog in that the grounds are the size of a small park. It’s set back from the road so it’s extra quiet.

Be sure to note that this place has no internet of its own. We knew this going in though as we’d been here before. It’s a very cool place to stay.

The cabin is great. We loved how quirky it was. We didn't use the stove so I can't vouch for that. The bathroom was ok but the shower could use a little more pressure. It's important to remember in a place like this that you are renting a cabin. This isn't some perfect pristine room. It's old and has character, which we really enjoy. The hot tub was nice! We enjoyed a good soak after some good hiking. Couple notes: If you need a hairdryer, bring one. We were also hoping there would be a log book or some reference material of things to do and places to go. There isn't, which is kind of a loss since there isn't any wifi . Would love to visit again and would definitely stay here again.

Rustic cabin with everything we could have dreamed of for a great mountain getaway. So FUN!

Inside is very dark (even with all lights on and curtains open). Must have flood lights when they took the web pictures.
Screen doors - would be nice if there were working latch hooks to ensure they could not be opened without warning (by humans or pets). Curtains need to be cleaned and hook rings repaired so they hang properly. TV remotes could use instructions as we couldn't really figure them all out.
Carpet in bedroom was stained. A blanket (found in closet) which I wanted to use appeared to be dirty with stickers and smelled. Tripped on an extension cord on the floor in the bedroom. Almost hit head on nightstand. Dresser had 4 drawers but 3 were filled with clean sheets so no place for our clothes except one drawer. Closet very small and we had to close the bathroom door to get to the closet. Shower - appears picture on website was taken at an angle as in person it is half the size. Had to try to not stand directly under the shower water as the water would go from very cold to very hot without warning.
Doors in all rooms don't stay shut.
Kitchen - didn't use much. A large knife was broken when I pulled out of knife block. We left on counter
Hot tub did not have total privacy as fence facing private road was only halfway blocking the hot tub so was too uncomfortable to be in there as anyone could has approached without warning. Was looking forward to relaxing but only stayed in hot tub for maybe 5 minutes before getting out the first night. Did not use any other day. On website it looked like hot tub was in a small fenced yard.
Had a great location with an easy walk to town. Was very quiet except for lots of people walking by using the private road to get across the creek to get to town
Pleasant sitting on the porch. Could use some newer patio furniture.
Vacasa sent texts and emails with updates and giving easy access instructions to enter cabin.
Checkout link sent by text would not open so had to send a separate email and text to let them know we were checking out.
