Owners need to make it much clearer to visitors that smoking is not permitted inside the property.
Good wifi / internet
Property not available at stipulated time. Property stank of cigarette smoke, which persisted during the whole stay. Hot water boiler malfunctioned on the first night resulting in no hot water.

Disappointing
Spacious, nicely laid out apartment, not too far a walk from Durham centre.
Furniture was really worn, sofas were highly uncomfortable couldn't be used, sat on the floor with sofa cushions instead, beds were also were uncomfortable. Cooking utensils and oven were in poor condition so we avoided using them, and had to buy own sponges to wash any dishes we did use. Hob was switched off seperately to the oven it was a few days before we managed to notice that the hob wasn't just broken, heating was also turned right down on the boiler, this wasn't mentioned anywhere upon arrival so the first few days were very cold as the apartment wasn't heating up, assumed it was poor central heating but again it took a few days before we realized it was just the boiler being turned down. Overall everything looked nice but seemed outdated and uncomfortable, some in need of replacing, wasn't really fit to spend time in more of a place with a bed to sleep in.

a value for money gem in Durham! will book again!
This is convenient family friendly apartment, spacious, clean, comfortable and quite close to the city center. Although we usually took a taxi for about 5 euro, we also walked on a few occasions to the cathedral and castle. The area feels very safe and right across the street there is a restaurant, a deli, a laundromat and a convenience store. There are several decent restaurants within walking distance which was also great. The apartment is perfect for a family, it has two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The wifi is quite good (although not super fast). The place is fully equipped, including a washing machine, iron, microwave etc. There is a large TV. It was missing a hair drier but when I asked for one, I was sent a brand new, boxed hair drier within a few hours! I could not believe it! The reception was also very helpful with the delivery of the mandatory covid tests we needed as part of our stay in the UK. Overall, super happy and already planning our next stay here (since we now have a family and work reason for visiting Durham frequently).
We would have appreciated someone checking in half way during our week long stay, eg for extra toilet paper or towels. I am sure we would get some if we requested it-- as I said, the service was excellent-- but it would be nice to differentiate between someone staying for a couple of days vs a week. Also, it would be nice to check on messages more frequently or to have a number that we can call/text after hours (there is a number but no one answered). Again though, this is very minor, we loved the place and our experience was excellent.

Stay was very good and the property worked
The location was perfect. Access to bus stops and supermarkets was great. There was no problem finding takeaways or local pubs thatv were very satisfactory. The sizeooms was very good and having 2 mathrooms was excellent.
The disappointment is the fact that a total of £200 could sort most of the problems. This can be itemised as folows: 1 We needed to buy 3/4 light bulbs which were not functioning 2 Kitchen door not working. Easy to fix. 3 Cutlery, plates, glasses etc there is at least one missing in most sets 4 both toilet seats have a pin missing and and need replacing 5 Several cobwebs that are very visible in bathroom and over the kitchen so needs a good clean. Cleaning staff are work shy or blind! 5Doors do not shut to the lock so can rattle when windy 6 Extension cables for bedrooms are required and one is missing 7 Duvets need to fit the bed 8 I would expect some sort of refund as this property is of poor quality and so are the furnishings. Just very cheap and cheerful but not the price! Please let me know.

Review of St Andrew’s Court (Not the Grange after a last minute COVID issue)
Handy location, car parking on site. Overall apartment was comfortable, welcome bottle of fiz and milk in fridge.
China chipped, no microwave, shower leaked all over en-suite floor. Door to outside was never locked resulting in some unsavoury man banging on my door at night looking for someone in the apartment. Quite noisy at night from nearby pubs.

Good
Complimentary tea and coffee were a nice touch and easy check in.
I didnt receive the apartment I had booked due to problems with the previous guests so ended up in a different apartment with only 1 double room instead of 2. On Friday night the apartment opposite were having a party which were very loud.

Very good
Nice clean apartment that was lovely and warm. Easy to park, no hassle to gain access to the apartment and 25 minutes walk into Durham centre. WIFI is provided and a few essentials (tea, coffee, milk, washing up liquid etc)
I suppose the walking distance to the city centre could put some people off but it only takes around 25 minutes.
