About this house rental
Nestled in Avon, this charming house for $613 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Located in a quiet, small community, our River Forge townhome is unique from the typical condo/townhome location which often have a large number of other units and people all around you. River Forge is tucked away and nestled alongside the Eagle River in Avon, and very quiet and peaceful. This comfortable and cozy townhome features all 3 bedrooms upstairs each including luxurious linens and 2 full baths. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, walk in closet and flat screen TV. The best feature about this room, and the bedroom right next to it, is the large sliding window that when opened, even slightly, allows you to hear the beautiful sound of the Eagle River right below. The master bath is accessed from the master bedroom and has double vanity sinks and an oversized tub with shower enclosure. The larger bedroom has a queen bed and two twin beds. The other bedroom on the riverside also has a queen bed. All bedding is comfortable quality from Pottery Barn. If needed, there is a blow-up twin mattress in the closet (with extra bedding). The second full bath with shower enclosure is located off the hallway upstairs by the bedrooms. Downstairs you will find a half bath, the utility room with full sized washer and dryer, and cubbies for hats and gloves. Also on this main floor is a kitchen with new dishes, glassware and cookware, and new appliances, such as toaster oven, 4 slice toaster, coffee maker/hot water dispenser, large crockpot and large electric skillet. If you want to cook and eat at 'home', you'll find everything you need except the food! The kitchen opens into the dining area with farm table, four chairs and a bench, with a gorgeous view. Open the sliding doors next to the table that open onto the deck and enjoy the calming sound of the Eagle River. Adjacent to the dining area is the living room, comfortable and cozy with games for your enjoyment, as well as a 60 inch flatscreen HD TV and Blu Ray player. Our home has Comcast cable TV, as well as wifi for your convenience. The space includes a gas fireplace with logs, that warms up surprisingly with the flip of a switch. There is a large picture window with a gorgeous view. The deck overlooks the river and includes a Weber grill and table with 6 chairs, a great place for relaxing in summer months. River Forge is located about 1/2 mile east of Avon Road on Highway 6, tucked off the road, fronting the Eagle River. Fly fishing is literally right out the door! Convenient to restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, bakeries and Starbucks, you are literally minutes from everything Avon/Beaver Creek has to offer, and very close to Vail and Arrowhead as well. The bus stop is just steps away from our home. The Westin Riverfront hotel is 1/2 mile west where you can take the Gondola up to the ski area and other lifts. The 'Bear' parking lot is only blocks away on Highway 6, which provides a convenient shuttle to Beaver Creek Ski area.

The townhome located in Avon was the perfect location for all our activities. Backing up the the river made for a beautiful setting and sleeping even better with the sound of the river. House was very well maintained and host provided nice amenities. Jay and Elaine were very responsive to questions and offered great recommendations. We will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the townhouse in Avon. The unit was exactly as advertised- clean, well equipped and maintained. Location was convenient to bot Beaver Creek and Vail resorts. Hosts were great with communication before and during the visit. We had zero issues with the rental process or the unit during our visit. We will definitely stay at Jay and Elaine’s townhouse again, if available on future trips to the Vail region.

Clean property that worked great for 2 families on a ski weekend. Property is a 2 minute drive to the lower BC ski parking lot. Also very close to Avon rec center for fun pool and hot tub post skiing.

We loved our stay here. So close to Beaver Creek and Avon. Really convenient as everything was a short drive. The place is well-maintained and well-stocked. Everything we needed was here. We cooked two meals here along with going out. Good communication. Just an ideal stay.

This condo exceeded our expectations! It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The view is amazing and the location was perfect for a ski trip to BC and Vail.
Kitchen was fully stocked and beds and bedding were so comfortable. Jay the owner was so helpful!
We parked in the Bear lot to ski BC which is very close to the condo and took the shuttle. And also drove to Vail to ski about 15 minutes from the condo.
We really appreciated that there were no steps to the condo. We parked in the driveway and dropped the skis in the garage and walked right in to the first floor of the condo. The laundry room was full of storage for all our ski gear.
We would love to come back in the summer!

We came to Avon with family to ski and the house was very convenient and close to town and ski areas. Was perfect for what we needed and was very well stocked with amenities! Host was very helpful! Highly recommend!

Ideally located for lot’s of things especially if you have reason’s to go to Beaver Creek Resort Area. Jay was very gracious and quick to respond. The home on the river was stocked beyond expectations and in fact was by far the best we have ever encountered on our many stays.

The property is very nice and well stocked. The townhome is very clean, cozy, and comfortable. A/C units in all bedrooms upstairs in case the weather gets a little too warm. The location is great, overlooking the Eagle River. The owners are wonderful to work with. We will definitely be returning.

Where do I begin....what an absolutely perfect stay!! This home is very well maintained and the attention to detail and love for the home shows throughout this beautiful space. Everything was spotless and well appointed. The furniture is lovely and the beds were so comfortable. The linens were very high quality. There are portable air conditioning units in each bedroom. We really didn't need them as the nights were cool. The view is breathtaking! We loved sitting out on the deck and listening to the sounds of the river. We even took a dip in the river after a long day of hiking. The location was perfect. Easy access to Beaver Creek and Vail. Communication with the owners was wonderful. We will be back!!

We enjoyed our stay in the Avon/Edwards area. The location of the townhome was close to restaurants, stores, bike trails, bus stops, parks, etc. It was nice to be able to ride our bikes to a lot of places! We made a lot of meals at the townhome and were able to find plenty of dishes, pots, pans, outdoor grill, pantry items, etc. The view from the back deck next to the creek was very relaxing. This is a really nice townhome to stay in.

My family stayed at this home three years ago so I was thrilled when we had the opportunity to stay there again. The home has plenty of space and the Eagle River flows behind the backyard. I would sleep with the window open every night just to listen to the river flowing. There is an asphalt hiking trail right outside of the home that I would walk every morning. The home is also located close to everything in Avon and to the Beaver Creek ski resort. I can't wait to go back!

What an amazing spring break skiing both Vail and Beaver Creek at this perfect property. The townhouse was even better than advertised. Great living area for evening fellowship and a perfect arrangement of bedrooms for multiple adults and teens. The owners responded almost instantly any time we had a question and even suggested the perfect restaurant for a romantic anniversary dinner. An amazing location near many wonderful restaurants, shops, discount ski rentals and Beaver Creek/Vail. Did I mention the view of the river and mountains from the living area? We will be back!

This is the perfect property for a ski trip. With easy access to both Beaver Creek and Vail, we were on the mountain in no time. And the property’s wonderfully organized garage made it easy to unpack and load up our gear each time. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. We had everything we needed and enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evenings and gazing at the river and mountains outside the window. We’ll be rebooking this property for all future trips to the area!

Very enjoyable stay in this spacious 3 BR 2 1/2 bath townhome on the Eagle River in Avon Colorado. Centrally located to Vail, Beaver Creek, Arrowhead, Edwards. You can get to anything you want to do in a matter of just a few minutes. Plenty of restaurants, shopping, Grocery, ski access minutes away. Owner has access instructions & everything you need in a well organized binder & has made things easy, hassle free & straightforward to get in & out of the property. The property is beautifully furnished, & extremely clean. The owners are very gracious & accessible. They go out of their way to answer any questions & insure you have everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Perfect Condo for 4 adults, could have been 6-7 adults. Location is perfect for Beaver Creek of Vail. The Condo has everything you need plus a very cozy gas fireplace. The owner Jay is super attentive, going out of his way to make sure you enjoy your stay.

We absolutely loved our stay. The place is fantastic! Plenty of space for us all (3 adults and 3 kids). Perfectly situated for vail and beaver creek. Jay was lovely to talk to and the communication was timely and welcoming! I cannot recommend this rental highly enough.

The property is perfectly situated close to the entrance of Beaver Creek resort - very close to the dining and shopping in Avon. The hosts were extremely helpful and the property was spacious and clean. I plan on staying at the townhome again if it is available when I am back in the area. It was a great experience!

The property is actually better than what we expected. Jay was simply one of the best hosts ever. He was very thoughtful in communicating some hazardous conditions before we left and throughout our stay, made sure that we had everything that we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Avon area.

It was my 2nd time to be here at this beautiful condo. Great place for a relaxing and peaceful time. Location is central to Beaver Creek Village and Vail is close as well. There were 3 of us girls needing a little vacation from life and wanting a beautiful safe comfy home to have our time together in. The river was perfect as the sounds lulled us to sleep at night and the gondola rides at BC and Vail took us to scenic mountain views. The condo has all the comforts of home and the neighbors were kind and welcoming. LOVE <3 and will be back again and again.

This was the perfect place to escape for a summer vacation! Better than advertised! The house is immaculate and situated perfectly on the Eagle River. Like many others, we opened the windows at night and the sounds of the water on the rocks filled the master bedroom as we drifted off to sleep. Many activities from hikes and biking to fly fishing to keep busy, but also a fantastic place to enjoy a cold beverage and watch time go by. Our favorite places to eat were - Northside Cafe, Avon Bakery & Deli, Vin48, and Rocky Mountain Taco in Minturn. We would highly recommend taking the Beaver Creek Lake hike from the Centennial lift area in Beaver Creek Village - great views and scenery at the top!

From the wonderful location close to Vail/Beaver Creek and western CO, to the comfy beds and homey touches throughout to the deck over looking the river, this home is a true retreat. The homeowner is also wonderful to work with...always available for advice on local eats or how to best find the property after dark. My daughter and her fiancé fly-fished on the river while I sipped wine and watched. Best of both worlds! I cannot wait to return!

I received outstanding service by Jay, the owner. He was as helpful as anyone has ever been when going through these rental homesites. He provided all the information we would ever need and more. The house is located in extremely convenient area, while providing a beautiful view in of the river. I only rent properties with air conditioning, no matter where it is located. There is air-conditioning, but it is through two portable units only located in two of the three bedrooms upstairs. I think that needs to be clearly stated/disclosed before someone chooses to book. Regardless, I would say here again because of the outstanding service in a great location.

Absolutely 5 stars! Book this place if you can. Tastefully decorated, spotless, comfortable bed, great deck over looking the river. Left windows open to hear natures sound machine from the river. Jay was an excellent and responsive host. House is incredibly well stocked with all sorts of supplies. This place is OUTSTANDING!!!

I have lost track as to how many times we have stayed at River Forge, we keep coming back year after year! The location on the Eagle River can’t be beat! The townhouse is clean, beautifully kept and has everything you may need to make you feel at home! The bedrooms are big and the beds are comfy after a long day of skiing. The Elk Lotis just minutes away allowing you to be on Beaver Creek mountain in no time. The house is next to the biking an walking trail allowing you easy access to downtown Avon. The house is extremely kid friendly! We can’t wait until our next trip because we absolutely will be back! Thank you Jay and Elaine for your incredible hospitality!

Great weekend getaway for Spring skiing in Beaver Creek. Jay and Elaine are excellent hosts and their condo was the perfect place for our family to reconnect and relax. All the comforts of home! Will definitely visit again!
