About this house rental
Located 2nd row to the best beach on Hilton Head Island (as featured in Hilton Head magazine). This southern-style beach house has a large porch with rockers and a swing to relax. There is a private pool and adjoining hot tub with lounge chairs for sun bathing. The kidney-shaped pool is surrounded by palms and overhanging live oak trees. The is a covered area within the garage, next to the pool with a ping pong table and a place to sit and relax while the rest of the family swims and sunbathes. There is a corn hole set for use as well. There is an outdoor shower available when returning from the beach for your personal use. Spa/Pool Heat optional. There is now a charge to heat the spa and/or pool. Please inquire. It is minutes away from golf, tennis, shopping, and restaurants; yet its location at the end of a Cassina Lane in South Forest Beach affords peace and quiet with the sound of the ocean. It is perfect for two or more families vacationing together, with the two master bedrooms. On the main floor, the master bedroom has a King size bed with a brand new mattress, TV, private bath with deep tub and separate shower. Also on the main floor is a bedroom with two twin beds and a den/bedroom with a queen sized sleeper sofa. The den has a TV and shares a newly remodeled and upgraded bathroom with the twin bedroom. There may be an extra charge for linens for the 1st floor den/bedroom. Our cleaning company will not be supplying linens for that room unless requested. On the 2nd floor, there is a master bedroom with a king-size bed, TV and a large master bath. Also on the 2nd floor is a bedroom with another king size bed and a smart Roku TV. The next room has two twin beds. They share a large bathroom with a tub/shower/toilet and two sinks. There is also a small bedroom with a trundle bed which converts to 2 twin beds. There is a bathroom adjoining it with a toilet and vanity. The washer and dryer are on the 2nd floor. The living area is very open with two-story ceilings, and TV/VCR/DVD. The dining area is adjoining but separate with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool area. There is seating for ten plus two at the kitchen counter and four more at the window counter. The kitchen has been expanded with granite counter tops and a center island. There is a spacious French-style refrigerator with plenty of room for food for an entire week. The kitchen is great for cooking large meals or just preparing snacks. There is under-house parking for two cars and space in the driveway for two more. Floor Plans Available in pdf. Please contact owner if interested. Our beach house is located less than a mile from the famous Van der Meer Tennis Complex and not far from Sea Pines or Palmetto Dunes Tennis Centers. Also, 38 golf courses are located on the island. There are 40 miles of bike paths, and the beach stretches for 12 miles. Coligny Circle is a short bike ride and provides many amenities including many restaurants, shops, and fun for the whole family. Visit Shelter Cove Harbour and Harbour Town for fine/casual dining and great shopping, or enjoy a play at the new Cultural Arts Center. Both are just a short ride from the South Forest Beach area. Our family loved and have enjoyed this home for two years now. There is a loaded kitchen and ample space/bedrooms. With the pool and really easy access to the beach, there is no reason to leave!

The consensus of our family is that this was the best house we have stayed at on HHI ( we’ve stayed at about 10 over the years).

The space was good period, but needed updating. There were plenty of dishes, bowls, cups, and silverware. But none of it matched. The pots and pans were very limited. We had a serious issue with the island. The maintenance man was 3 hours late, and then i had to help him carry it to his truck. The pool area was nice, but bring bug spray. The game area was a little disappointing. It was very weathered and dirty. Our grandkids described the walk to the beach on the path as going through a jungle. The neighborhood was nice, but they are starting construction of a new home across the street. The beach was never crowded and was very nice, and despite the 'jungle' fairly easy to get to. The house provided plenty of areas to get away to.

This house was in a great location - short walk to the beach and short bike rides to Coligny plaza one way and Sea Pines the other. Plenty of space in the house and it was stocked with everything we needed.

Our extended family group of 7 adults and 2 children (ages 4 & 1) thoroughly enjoyed our beach vacation at 8 Cassina Lane. D’Ette was always prompt and responsive whenever contacted and provided excellent advance information & instructions prior to arrival.
We loved this location in South Forest Beach…it was quiet and the beach wasn’t crowded, while Coligny & Celebration Park were just a short bike ride away.
Pros: great pool, hot tub heats up quickly, just a short walk to the beach, very spacious and open, dining room table seats 12 plus there are 6 counter stools, no issues with mosquitoes, helpful labeling on light switches & some kitchen cabinets, big fridge with lots of storage (we cooked and ate in most of our meals).
Cons: grill was dirty, some kitchen tools could stand to be updated (can opener, more spatulas, knives), some blinds need repair/replace because of missing tilt wands or crumpled louvers (D’Ette did say that those were on order).
I noticed several reviews mentioning that this home was dated or needed TLC…our family found this home to be clean, it is dated but comfortable (and the pictures accurately reflect the home’s decor), the mattresses were comfortable, and we didn’t have to worry about the little ones ruining anything. There was plenty of room to spread out (nice front porch with rockers & swing), but who am I kidding? Our group was in the pool and hot tub when they weren’t on the beach or riding bikes. Thanks for a great vacay!

The house was perfect for our family of twelve - six adults and six children, ages three to ten, The pool and hot tub were great; a well stocked kitchen; large living room area and comfortable bedrooms; easy walk to an uncrowded beach. Could replace a master mattress upstairs.

Only issue was minor with the hot tub operation, and the property owner addressed it immediately to resolve quickly. The location is great with a short walk to the beach. The weather did not cooperate unfortunately, but our stay was awesome, would definitely rent again at this location

First, the property location is ideal. Just a short walk to the beach, which was in a less crowded area (away from the high rise resorts, but near enough to walk to the Tiki Bar at Coligny Beach). Second, the instructions and communications from the owner were comprehensive and clear. I would give her very high marks for communication. Finally, the house had a good open concept floorplan with lots of seating in the common areas; however, the furniture was a little worn. The bedrooms were good size with comfortable beds (mattresses); however, the bathrooms were old and dated. The bathrooms, along with the rest of the house, could use some updating. We had several people in our party that were working remotely but there wasn't a desk in the whole house. We made do with the tables on the porch and the dining room table but in today's world it would have been nice to have a work area or two, e.g. in the den. The outdoor areas were nice (porch and pool area), but beware of the mosquitos. Unfortunately for us, there was no working dishwasher which was a bit of pain. The owner did notify me about a week before our arrival that she was desperately trying to get it fixed but with supply chain issues it just didn't happen before our arrival. I appreciated the head's up but felt as though we should have received some compensation for the headache. I would never have rented a place without a dishwasher but couldn't make other arrangements with such short notice. Overall, a great beach house, but it definitely needs some updating.

7 gal pals travel to Hilton Hear for our 5th annualsummer beac trip. This house was perfect for our needs! Everyone had their own bedroom. The open concept kitchen, dining and great room lent itself to spacious gatherings and conversations. The pool was refreshing after coming off the beach - a perfect way to cool down. And the location was great! Real close to Coligny Plaza with lots of dining and shopping experiences; also a short ride to Sea Pines. We all agree we'd like to go back next year!

Our party of 10 stayed at this property the last week of July and we had a wonderful time. The owner was great to work with and proactively let us know we could check in early since the cleaning was complete. The home is spacious and clean. The outdoor space is great, especially the pool. It is a short walk to the beach which had plenty of space to set up. One minor complaint is the noise the spa makes when in use. We come to the island almost every year and we would definitely stay here again!

Everything went very smooth. Everything we needed in the kitchen, bedroom’s and bathrooms was well supplied. Pool area was great enough room to sit around and big enough for all 11 of us to be in the pool at the same time. The owner was very nice and easy to get a hold of for questions we might of had. Close access to beach.

The owner was wonderful, very attentive and easy to contact. The property was great and so close to the beach. Pool was perfect and shady in afternoon. Overall, great place, would definitely seek this place out again.

It was a great place to stay with a large group. We had 11 family members, 6 adults and 5 kids. It was only a block to the beach and the pool was perfect for all of us. The ping ball table was a huge hit with all the guys. It was great that the dinning room table was big enough for all 11 of us. I loved the porch with the rocking chairs. Would highly recommend it.

we enjoyed our stay --the house was big enough for everyone --everything was clean and well stocked --Its a very short walk to the beach --We were able to get in touch with the owner when needed ---I would reccommend bring a litttle beach wagon for the walk to the beach and you are set ---we had such a great time !

This house is great! Extremely close to the beach and has a great pool/outdoor area as well. Hot tub was a bonus when hot. Host was excellent and even helped provide us with beach towels during our visit. Highly recommend!

It had not been cleaned in weeks! Littered with cigarette butts and old broken lumber, furniture, and junk left behind by others. The pool furniture was broken and molded. Concrete was littered with dirt and stains. The property manager was quick to respond to my calls, and sent people out to clean - but each one of them was offended that they had to come out, complained and gave the excuse "this is not my job!" I was offered one night's refund, and appreciated that - however we still had to live in a dirty property all week. Had I known the true condition of this property - I would have never rented it. I have pictures if you would like to see them. (Don't see any place here to post them).

Due to reported sticky dining room table (thanks for advance notice!) I took two large tablecloths and covered the table with my own linens.
We had a wonderful week and venue was one I'd return to.

This home is well lived in but comfortable. The location is very close to the beach. The layout of the home is perfect for our three families.
The dining table seats 13-14 which was wonderful! I gave this property 4 stars as it is in need of various touch ups and a second refrigerator would be very helpful for 13 people.
The owners were quick to respond to e-mail during our reservation process which we appreciate. We booked this property again for next summer.
