Located in Kailua-Kona, this charming house for $1,628 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. vrKCV - Vista Oceania at Kona Bay Estates, Professionally Managed by Kona Coast Vacations This amazing Ocean Front 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath Home in Kona Bay Estates, is located on Keiki Beach. When you come to Hawaii you want to be on the ocean and be able to get into the water. Our luxurious 3,070 square foot home is located on the most desirable beach in Kona. The soft, white sand beach is semi-private because of limited access and is within a small enclave that has 24 hour security. You just put on your bathing suit and walk out the door to either the beach or your private pool. The home has three bedrooms, with the primary bedroom located on the second floor with its own lanai. The bathroom has a jetted tub and walk-in shower. This bedroom is very large with a king size bed. The other two bedrooms are on the main floor, one with a queen, the other with a king bed. If needed, the living room sofa converts to a queen bed. The house can sleep up to eight people. There are a total of three large lanais, one at pool level, the second at kitchen level, and the third off the primary bedroom. The kitchen lanai has sweeping views of the coast line and the beach to watch your family and friends, and is perfect for enjoying mai tais at sunset. There is no better setting on the island. The kitchen has a subzero refrigerator, microwave, ice maker and granite countertops. Did I mention location? How about walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and tennis courts. Kona Bay Estates has some of the best preserved Hawaiian petroglyphs a short walk from the house. Minimum night varies seasonally 5 - 10 nights. This is a non-smoking, no pets property. To assist compliance with Hawaii County Ordinance 114-18, please be aware that noise aware decibel warning devices are installed in this home. This home is in a great location and has an excellent view overlooking the Pacific, with direct access to a tide pool beach.
However, the home is outdated. Internet coverage throughout the home and external areas is poor. There is no SMART TV, just cable on a very old TV. The dishwasher not secured to the cabinetry with door dropping down to the floor or your feet. The washer and dryer are aged, and have rust and mildew. Multiple leaks in the living room and kitchen windows with rain, with multiple window cranks missing or unusable. Missing and/or broken window coverings. No indoor dining room or kitchen table. Given the high cost of this rental, we did not expect to have to deal with all of these issues.

Beautiful ocean front home!
This house was very nice and was everything it claimed to be in it's description. The master bedroom is on the higher floor and is massive, with a private balcony. The two other bedrooms are on the main floor and share a bathroom, Jack-n-Jill style. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you might need to prepare a meal. The outdoor lanai is also very large and has amazing views of the ocean. We did a lot of sight seeing while visiting the Big Island, so we probably didn't get to really enjoy the home for all that it had to offer, but would definitely recommend staying here. Nice, safe location and an easy drive to Kona.

We had a great stay at this wonderful home only issue was not being able to get the "hot tub" to heat up at all, I know that it would not get above 100 but could not even get it warm, maybe I didn't understand the instructions and it really wasn't a big deal. we really enjoyed just sitting on the lanai and watching the waves come in and out, very relaxing.

Perfect home in the perfect location. The views from lanai are absolutely amazing! Everything in the home worked perfect, was clearly marked, very clean, communication was excellent. The Keiki Pond out the back gate was beautiful! Loved our stay!

The location of this home is simply one of a kind. We spent a great amount of time on the lanai watching everything from whales to cruise ships. House is clean and well outfitted.

The beach area is beautiful, not on weekends, public Access, about 200 people on small beach.outside seating area wonderful! Pool not that good. Master bed sheets had pills ( bumps) need new sheets! Dishwasher needs replacing. House clean! Neighbors nosy

The house was great but no words could do justice for the view from either the main floor or second floor lanai. We spent hours out there just enjoying the Kona coast.
Most well appointed kitchen I’ve experienced in a rental and loved the laundry room. The Master suite was amazing and we appreciated all the towels.
We enjoyed the pool as well. Nice bonus to me since the house is right on the ocean.
And the location was perfect! So close to many, many restaurants and shopping.

Great location - property needs to be updated.
We chose this property based on the location and great reviews. House needs some work and some cleaning.
Some most notable issues are listed below.
Bathtub was clogged and my husband had to use the plunger to open the drain as the water was knee-high when we took a shower. There was mold around the tub in both bathrooms. Ant issue in all areas and needs to be addressed.
Upstairs area had sewer issues and every morning as soon as water started running in other parts of the house, the entire area filled with an awful stench. Carpet had numerous stains.
Toilet on the main floor half-bathroom was constantly running. Left side of the Lanai door is off track and the right side doesn’t open at all.
Please throw away old-old-old teflon frying pans that have pieces of teflon coming off of them. It is a health hazard. Blender blades are GONE. Unable to make smoothies. Why even have it if it is not functional?
We loved the lagoon areas for swimming and the well-equipped kitchen. Overall, good location, but would not spend this kind of money for this house unless the owner takes better care of it.

Great place, central to everything in downtown
Great property, had a fun time! So close to downtown! Views off the lanai were awesome! We will be back! Kids loved the pool, tide pools and beach. The only thing I would have changed is to be able to remove the pool vacuum while my kids were swimming, it was a bit of a safety risk. We made it work though!! And FYI for future renters - hot tub can only be turned up to 100 degrees and only stays on for 3 hours. Not a big deal to us with younger kids, but it was a surprise when we got there.

Spring Break
It was so exciting to be able to travel back to Hawaii! We have stayed in Kona Bay Estates several times and love the location, access to tennis courts, beach and easy walk to restaurants and Kona. The location of this home was awesome especially if you enjoy activity on the beach. Our only disappointment was the pool size (pool appears much larger in picture) and view from the pool (there is a fence with bushes so no view of ocean). However the lanai was awesome with breathtaking sunsets every night. Plenty of shade and room to relax. We made special memories this year.

Great place on the Big Island
Stayed at this property for 19 nights in December 2020. The listing on VRBO is accurate and the pictures do a good job bringing the property to life. It’s spacious and well appointed. The location is right on the beach (which wasn’t busy) and is private. Yet you can walk or drive to “downtown” in minutes. The house was great for my group of 6 people and I happily recommend it for others.

Just perfect!
The house was beautiful--clean, well laid out and nicely furnished. The second floor lanai was roomy, and we spent much of our time there. The location is perfect, right on the water, with a very short walk to a nice beach that is just right for little kids and also for checking out fish and taking a short swim.
The only issue was the small plunge tub next to pool was supposed to heat up to 100degrees, but never got above 80.

Awesome Big Island Family Vacation!
As a first-time VRBO user, I was a little concerned how things would go, but I am so glad I trusted the reviews, photos and description for this property. It was AWESOME!! We are a family of five, with a 19, 17 and 16 year old. We all loved this house. The layout is very family friendly, with the master suite on the second floor, separate from the other rooms. The house is super clean and very well furnished. All of the beds were comfy. Our favorite “room” was the second floor outdoor deck, with great breeze, comfy chairs and fantastic views. The house is more than well stocked with household and beach items, and everything is easy to find and labeled; so there is no wondering how to use anything. Also, the photos don’t do the little beach out the back gate justice. When the tide comes in, there is definitely good swimming available, particularly good for smaller kids. The pool is small but nice. The location of the house is also very convenient to downtown Kailua, an easy walk to Alii street, where the main drag stuff happens. If you want to work out, there are also a couple good gym options in walking distance, off of Palani. Finally, there are supermarkets, a Target and Walmart within 5 minute drives and a Costco about a 10 minute drive back toward the airport. Again, we loved this house and would not hesitate to come back again.

Beautiful place!
The house was gorgeous and the location was perfect. Everything in Kona was within minutes of the home. I would highly recommend this place. The only reason I gave 1 star for communication with the property manager is that he scheduled some work to be done on the house during our stay without informing us ahead of time. The house was booked months in advance and the work was booked weeks in advance so the knew we would be there. The noise and vibration made it impossible to be home during the work. Had we known, we would have scheduled an excursion that day, but of course it was scheduled on a day we had planned to enjoy the home. It lasted 2 days. The management did reimburse us for 1 night of our stay which helped. This is probably an unusual situation, so I would still recommend the home.

Wonderful Family Vacation
Beautiful house, spectacular setting, great lagoon for young children. Must be one of the best spots on the Big Island. Well maintained, very neat and clean, lots of beach accessories. The deck view was breathtaking. We could not have asked for more.

It was a very pleasant experience. We loved staying at the house and would recommend it to friends.
From the well maintained grounds to the house itself, we enjoyed the attention to detail that made our days and nights enjoyable.
We loved the fact that the pictures from the web were true to what you got. It was also very clean upon our arrival.
The furniture was beautiful and very comfortable (including beds, sofa bed and bedding) - no weathered or worn fabrics. There were also plenty of towels. To quote one of us: "Pull-out sofa bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept on and very bed-like."
The kitchen was well stocked and conducive to cooking in. Many different types of glassware, cookware, dishes, spices, cleaning supplies, and ancillary items.
The layout of the house (both indoors and outdoors) tempted us to just lounge around and enjoy the environment.
A small sandy beach and tidal pools just in front were especially fun to explore, with a handy access gate directly from the house. The ocean beyond provided the constant soothing sounds of the waves.
One other highlight was the nightly viewing of the beautiful sunsets from the well positioned lanai.
It was a wonderful stay and a home we wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. Definitely a home to recommend.
Suggestions:
* A full-size ironing board would save time and aggravation (in trying to use the table-top board).
* While there were several high-quality smaller skillets in the kitchen, we didn't seem to find a larger one (e.g. 12" diameter).

Amazing place to stay right on the perfect beach
This was an amazing house! We were staying with our two young kids as well as with my sister in laws family (also with two young kids). The house is very functional with all amenities you would need. The best part is the pool which the kids loved, the large deck with unbelieveable views of the water as well as the proximity to the beach. You literally walk out the back gate directly onto a beach that is perfect for kids- flat, crystal clear water, shells, Little Rock pools with fish.
We would love to stay here again!
