Great flat in good location
This was a great place for our family of 5 to stay for a few days while exploring San Francisco. Lisa was very responsive and helpful with tips for our trip. The area felt safe, and we appreciated the gated driveway for extra security as well as the proximity to the Oakland airport for our early flight home. The flat was as described, with plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids.

Enjoyed my stay here. Quiet spot to return to after busy days. Great Oakland food destinations nearby. Owner was very responsive, considerate and informative. Comfortable setting. Particularly enjoyed the small but well appointed kitchen and the dining nook.

The house has everything you need and is in a good location relative to BART. We took a bus to Fruitvale Station. The only reason I didn't give a 5 rating is that the carpet was stained and it doesn't appear that the cleaning service cleans under the sofa.

We were very elated to find a nice ,clean VRBO rental so close to our Oakland family home that allowed us to go back and force to do some babysiting. This place had a very secure fenced in back yard for parking our car off street. While we did no cooking at this rental, the kitchen was very well equipped for cooking. Lots of basic ingredients were on hand for use. We didn't use the living room, but it was large and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom had everything we needed. We did use the washer and dryer one night and that was a real plus for us. A very comfortable and safe apartment. And Lisa Wong was so helpful during our stay. We appreciate the extras she did for us.

This rental is actually a one bedroom apartment, with a large living room/sleeping area, a kitchen & a small dining area. It has all that you could possibly need or want & is spotlessly clean. We've stayed here twice & would have stayed here more often but could not get the time slot we wanted.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean and neat and provided necessities. It was conveniently located near a major highway and close to shops, restaurants, gas, etc.. It was cozy and just right for me and my husband. Would love to stay there again if in the area.

The two of us stayed here over 2017 Memorial Day weekend with our 4 year-old grand daughter while her parents were doing some house remodeling. Lisa Wong, the owner, was very attentive to our needs & everything that was supposed to come with the unit was there, plus. We lacked for nothing. It's a one bedroom, but a double & twin air mattress were available. We used the double, which came already inflated.
Everything worked. There were even some toys. Two blocks away is a great breakfast place - Sequoia Diner (be there when it opens, or wait a bit) and a great, local coffee shop - World Ground, across the street on MacArther. Convenient to BART & the freeways. Easy to find. We'll stay here again.

Very clean! Perfect location for our family and all the things we wanted to do while in town!
Our family of 5 loved this place! Neighborhood was safe, and we loved that we could park our car in the back every night. Easy access to the freeway, but very quiet neighborhood. Lisa was incredible to work with, very kind and helpful. Her place is immaculate and well stocked of anything we may have needed.
I often come to the Bay Area to shop for art supplies, this trip was no exception. I bought so much stuff I couldn't get it all home in my suitcase, so I drove about 5 minutes away or less to find an incredible Goodwill there and bought a nearly new suitcase to get it all home. Trader Joes was super close off the freeway and our regular church was only 8 minutes away.
We are already planning to return over and over again. I feel like we found our second home in an area we love to visit. Our second daughter is leaving us for 18 months and this was our last hurrah trip before she leaves in October. Thank you for helping to make it so memorable!

The unit itself is clean, big living room, has everything we need. And it's safe to park our car in a semi-private garage. Landlord is very friendly, easy to reach, provided us so many information for our trip. High recommend to stay in this unit for a San Fran Bay Area trip.

Great value and location
We recently visited Oakland for a friend's wedding. There were three adults and a four-year-old. One of the best things about this property is how family friendly it is. There were toys, both indoor and outdoor, for the 4-yr-old. We also appreciated having bottled water to take along on our day trips. The bed was really, really comfortable! This property also features a washer and dryer for use, which was nice, because we didn't arrive back home with tons of laundry to do. The property owner is very nice, sending out useful information about the area ahead of time and checking in to make sure we had everything we needed once there. The kitchen was well stocked even with ziploc bags, which came in handy a few times when we needed to take snacks along on our outings. I feel like this property owner anticipated any need we might have had and made sure that we were taken care of. We really appreciated how close this property was to everything we planned on doing. And the gated parking was nice, even though I don't think it was an area where it was needed. The added security just made us feel more comfortable. We would stay at this location again when in Oakland. Thanks to the property owner for everything and making our trip easy!

nice place to stay while in oakland
A real find for us, The location right off Exit 35 on the 580 made quick access to downtown, ferry, Bart and SF. The space is much larger than depicted on line. Plenty of storage, well stocked. Lots of amenities ....can't name them all. The back yard and parking pad were fantastic. The property backs up to the 580, but the beautiful dense trees and shrubs diffuse the noise, (Definitely not a deal breaker). We enjoyed the BBQ while our granddaughter rode her trike around the massive parking pad. We have rented several places in Oakland, and dealt with many property owners. The Wongs were the most attentive and gracious of all. WILL BOOK AGAIN

great place to stay in Oakland's Laurel District
This is a wonderful property very conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. It was easy to find from the airport. The downstairs duplex is roomy with a good size bedroom and living room. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The living room had a lot of comfortable furniture and the kitchen/dining area was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. There is a washer and dryer on the back porch, which was a different feature for someone coming from the cold midwest!
We didn't get to explore the neighborhood but every day saw people out walking or jogging. It was very nice to have the gated area to park the car, although I wouldn't have had any qualms about parking on the street. Access to I-580 was very easy and from there it was easy to get to downtown Oakland or Berkeley. We didn't go into San Francisco, so didn't use the BART, but there is a station close by.
Lisa was a wonderful host. She sent a lot of information ahead of our stay and then checked with us from time to time to see if we had any questions or problems. We also appreciated the travel information about the Oakland and greater bay area as well as the maps that were provided. My security deposit was returned very promptly. I would recommend this flat to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Oakland or Bay area. It is a great value for families or couples wanting more room (and character) than a standard hotel room.

Great reunion with friends!
We made a last minute booking and the owner was kind enough to accommodate us. We were having a renunion and the place was sufficient to accommodate 5 of us comfortably. We could park 2 cars in the drive way too. The property is conveniently located closed to I580 and was very clean with more than enough fresh towels. The bed was cozy and the kitchen had coffee maker and tea kettle which was nice. I will definitely stay here again if I am visiting Oakland the next time.

Excellent base for San Francisco
This is a lovely, spacious property which comfortably fitted our family of five. The owners provided two air beds, in addition to the sofas that could have been used as beds. It was relaxing and comfortable. The owners thought of everything. I would highly recommend this property for families with children but would be equally pleasing for a couple. You would need a car, if you were using this as a base for San Francisco.

Perfect place for our needs. The place was very clean, nicely furnished and supplied, and very quiet. The bed was sooooo comfortable. Thank you for a nice welcome and the coffee, cream, and water. We enjoyed the stay and will stay again on our next trip west.

Great owner!
This is a very nice, comfortable, well stocked property close to many desirable locations. The gated parking, kitchen, laundry, & extra bedding were all appreciated. The home is filled with unique & beautiful chandeliers & the most comfortable bed! Due to unforeseen circumstances, our family needed to check out early. Lisa, the owner, was gracious & understanding throughout. She was helpful from start to finish & we would recommend anyone contact her for anything needed before or during their stay.
