After a day of sight-seeing or visiting with family, curl up on the sofa to watch TV or walk half a block to Vanderbilt Avenue to choose from some of Brooklyn's most delicious restaurants. We have a fully furnished 1 bedroom apartment (750 sq ft floor thru) for nightly, weekly or monthly rental in our Brooklyn brownstone. The apartment is on the top floor of our brownstone, 3 flights of stairs up. The apartment can sleep up to 4 guests (2 adults, 2 children OR 3 adults). It has its own entrance, full kitchen, and full bath, which has been recently renovated. The bedroom has a King sized bed and the living room has a sofa bed with a very comfortable Queen size pull out. You can control your own heat and air-conditioning in both the living room and the bedroom. There are plentiful linens, pillows, and towels and more closet space than you will ever need. Enjoy close proximity to your family, shops, eateries, and lower Manhattan; steps from Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza. Subway: 2, 3, Q, B Trains are 2 blocks away; 15 minute subway ride or taxi to lower Manhattan. In our neighborhood in Brooklyn, Prospect Heights, you get the best of both worlds: we are on a quiet tree-lined block, but we are also half a block away from Vanderbilt Avenue, where some of Brooklyn's hottest restaurants and bars are located: Olmsted, White Tiger, The Vanderbilt, - to name a few. Bakeries and cafes include Milk Bar, Joyce's Bakeshop, and Little Cupcake Shop. We are 2 blocks away from Grand Army Plaza, the entrance to Prospect Park, in Prospect Heights. We are a 10 minute walk to Barclays Center, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. All the amazing Brooklyn neighborhoods that you have heard about are easily accessible: Williamsburg, Park Slope, Ft. Greene, Red Hook, Cobble Hill, 5th Ave, Smith Street.

Adam and Rita have been very friendly and responsive. This third floor unit in a brownstone is very well located and clean with all the amenities you could want. It’s close to Prospect Park, Vanderbilt Avenue, and the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden. My husband and I would definitely return!

PERFECT location. Close (2 blocks) to groceries and amazing restaurants. Enjoyed our stay. Adam carried our suitcases up to the 3rd floor upon our arrival. Will consider this rental when in Brooklyn again.

The rental was OK on the whole but general maintenance is haphazard. Could have used more info on where objects (blankets) were to be found. We ran out of toilet paper and had to scrounge. Floors are old and creak badly, wouldn't want to live underneath. Curtains are 'functional' only. The shower on/off is unique and should be explained to guests. Squeaky doors would benefit from lubrication. Nearby popular restaurants popular hours fill up quickly so it would be helpful to tell guests to make reservations at least 3 days in advance. The bike share at Vanderbilt and Park pl was almost always empty of bikes. At 12;30 AM Friday night I had to silence a noisy person (friend of owner?) on the deck outside our unit. Supposed to be rope ladders for safety but couldn't find any.

My husband and I had a wonderful 10 night stay! The apartment is not only close to all kinds of activities but it has all the comfort amenities we need to get a good night sleep away from home. We also prefer the private apartment opposed to a bedroom when traveling. Adam, our contact, was so friendly and available if we had any questions. We visit Brooklyn regularly to see our kids and grandsons so we plan to stay here again! We highly recommend Adam and Rita’s VBRO!! Home away from home!!

We loved our stay. It was easy to get to everything by foot and subway. This neighborhood has great food and fun all close by. People are friendly and its sunny and quiet. The apartment is stocked with the essentials and more. It was clean and bright just like in the pictures. The beds are super comfy, we all slept well.

We had a 15 days vacation here in May/June 2019. The apartment ist calm, clean and well equipped. It is situated in a beautiful street with charming brownstone houses. Several subway stations, shops and restaurants are only a few steps away. So all in all we have been very happy to have chosen this accommodation. Our hosts have been very kind and very discret. I really enjoyed staying at this perfect one bedroom apartment in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. I've stayed at probably a dozen Airbnbs and VRBOs in Brooklyn and this one was the nicest. Nice furnishings, large and VERY QUIET bedroom, fully equipped kitchen. Location-wise, it is also great - a half block from very hip Vanderbilt Avenue with coffee places, restaurants and grocery stores galore. A couple blocks from several subway lines offering good access to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn. Will certainly come back!

My wife and I have previously spent NYC trips based solely in Manhattan. Bringing our teenage daughters on this trip we were keen to have a more local experience yet remain within touching distance of all the shops and sights that Manhattan has to offer. We are so glad we did! Staying at Rita and Adam's apartment not only provided the home comforts we wanted but was a great base from which to explore more of the city and remain within touching distance of Manhattan. They also provided great advice as to the best shopping the city has to offer and had helpfully provided recommendations on where to eat. Would highly recommend the Brooklynite experience.

My daughter lives in Brooklyn and invited me up for Father's Day weekend to see the sights in New York, but her place is tiny. This apartment was perfect: clean, with every amenity I needed, situated between two main streets with good restaurants and markets. Rita and Adam responded quickly if I had any questions and were great to deal with. Highly recommend it.

We had a great one-week stay at the Spacious 1 Bedroom Apt in Prospect Heights. The owners very accommodating; they made sure we had everything we needed for our vacation. They even printed out the theater tickets we ordered online! The apt is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood; very easy walk to the subway. The beds were very comfortable! We'll definitely stay again the next time we are in NYC!

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids) stayed here very comfortably for 5 days. The location really couldn’t be better. So many great places to eat and have drinks within walking distance, plus Prospect Park and 2 subway stops. Great shower. The hosts were very accommodating with a bit of a late checkout due to our flight time. We will definitely be back!

The apartment is as described, very nice and charming. On a lovely tree lined street, very quiet and safe neighborhood, easy to walk to/from the subway (2 different subways stops nearby - 5 minutes walk) to access to anything we wanted. The apartment was clean, tidy and very comfortable, with lots of natural light. The bedroom has an excellent size and a king size bed to rest after a long day walking/visiting Manhattan with night table at each side with a lamp, 3 closets for clothing and luggage, a chest of drawers (very useful), cotton towels and linens very white, nice and soft, air conditioner on the bedroom and living/kitchen area. The bathroom has lots of natural light and the shower works perfectly. The open kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook (pans, utensil, microwave, oven and very spacious), the fridge is big and works perfect (essential in summer time) and has also a minifridge beside the dishwasher. The sofa that turns in a queen size bed is very comfortable as well. All plugs, fridge and kitchen cupboard have safety for children. There is nearby a good supermarket, Laundromat, restaurants and cafeterias. Rita and Adam have been wonderful hosts, very easy to contact with. They contacted us prior the arrival. Rita was there when we arrived to welcome us and showed us the apartment. They were not intrusive and were very friendly. We highly recommend this comfortable and beautiful apartment in Prospect Heights. Thank you Rita and Adam! It has been a pleasure been at your home.

The apartment was clean and stylish and QUIET. Rita was so very accommodating with my need for flexible dates which then needed last minute extending. I loved the neighborhood and how comfortable it was to walk...everywhere. I've desired a place that I would "look forward" to returning on my visits to daughter and family. And now I've found it!!!
