This recently renovated home on Playa La Chata offers amazing views of Puerto Rico, Culebra, and St. Thomas. The entire property is fenced in with your own private gate to the beach. The sound of lapping waves, trade wind breezes, and coquis will fill your senses. The ocean is just steps off the patio. Walk the beach and enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets. Vieques is a beautiful island with countless beaches to explore. La Chata Beach House is just minutes from the main barrio of Isabel Segunda, with its grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. The Wildlife Refuge with more beautiful beaches is a 20 minute drive. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home is perfect for a private getaway for 2 couples. Take in breathtaking views of the ocean and the nearby islands from the open-floor-plan living room/dining room/kitchen through French doors to the terraces, and the convenience of a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. There is a patio grill to prepare some Caribbean lobster from the local Pescaderia (fresh fish market). Open the doors and windows and enjoy the ever-present breezes flowing through. The master bedroom has ocean views, a queen bed, and en suite bathroom. The spacious second bedroom has a king bed and a full bathroom across the hall. The entire home has a/c. Rinse off in our outdoor shower after an ocean swim or snorkel. Come explore Vieques and stay in one of the few oceanfront homes. Our beaches are incredible, our Bio-Luminescent Bay is one of the brightest in the world, and the roaming horses will charm and entertain you, as will the occasional iguana. Vieques is truly an enchanted tropical island and we look forward to welcoming you to La Chata Beach House! This property is for adults only.

This property is super clean, modern, and right on the beach. Great kitchen, great views, lots of yard space, complete with hammock. We had a very enjoyable time here and would certainly come back again.

We had a wonderful week in Vieques in late January, and La Chata Beach House was everything we had hoped for. The house is tastefully furnished and well appointed with everything we needed. And the waterfront setting is stunning! We had a great time exploring the island but coming "home" was always a highlight of the day. We spent hours each day lounging on the patio, enjoying the view, and listening to the surf immediately on the other side of the walled garden. Betty, the caretaker, was tremendously helpful in answering questions both before our arrival and after. Hoping to visit the island again and would definitely choose La Chata Beach House for our lodging.

The home and property are even more beautiful than pictured. It was extremely clean, had great amenities and the views are unbelievable- it’s truly your own private oasis. Betty was incredibly kinda, knowledgeable and accommodating! We would definitely stay here again.

Exceptionally clean and impeccably appointed, our stay was outstanding. We very much enjoyed the “front yard” and the beautiful landscaping of the property. The owners have truly designed a home they would spend time in and decorated it in a sleek and minimalistic way that induces relaxation and calm. Betty and Miles were exceptional - excellent communication and responsiveness. I highly recommend this property, one of the best we have ever stayed.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipment and styled with great design. The house is steps away from your own private beach and the water is perfect for all the snorkeling activities.

This is a dream house! It is beautiful, clean, fully equipped, with very comfortable beds, couches, and patio chairs. The view from practically everywhere in the house and outside in the patio and yard is spectacular. We loved walking down to our own area of beach from the house, snorkeling at several of the island beaches, marveling at the bioluminescent bay, and enjoying the island food. Our wonderful, informative, and friendly host, Betty, went beyond the call of duty to help us when our car rental (Maritzas) left us stranded at our airport arrival. We wouldn't stay anywhere else!

This is our second year staying at this property and it wont be our last! Betty (Prop Mgr) is very helpful with the check in/out process, providing insight on island activities/restaurants and is very prompt in responding to questions. The house is exactly as described and in my opinion even better in person. The layout of the house, lends itself nicely to privacy and the sound of the ocean is absolutely wonderful. The house is nicely decorated and very clean and has everything that one may need. Because of this, we feel at home every time we visit.

This home is fantastic! Very private and the beach allows for a nice walk. Many beautiful plants on the property. We were able to swim a few days with noodles provided at the home. I enjoyed many afternoons reading in the hammock.
The home is fully equipped with everything you may need.
Betty and Miles were gracious hosts providing many helpful tips and very easy to communicate with. Upon our arrival they met us to guide us to the property.
We are so looking forward to returning someday to the Lachata Beach House!

My only critique would be a small pool on the property would be great! Other than that, a beyond great rental. So relaxing, the deck is asking you to hang out for hours. Great secluded and quiet location.

Beautiful Beach House
My wife I stayed at the La Chata House for 2 weeks for our first visit to Vieques. The property, house and location were terrific. We had a wonderful view of the ocean where we could watch the sun rise and set while enjoying warm ocean breezes. We were able to snorkel and take short walks right in front of the property. We also enjoyed taking longer morning walks along the beach at Playa Bastimento which was only a 3-minute drive from the house. We are already making plans to return next year!

Quite, Clean and Beautiful
This house was perfect for us. My husband and I traveled with another couple and the space was adequate for 4 adults. The bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house for ample privacy and the outdoor space was lovely! Ample shade or sun exposure depending on what you are looking for. The beach access was perfect and was a nice way to still enjoy the water and view without leaving the property. Betty (property manager) was very responsive and helpful! One of the best property managers I have interacted with!

Betty is a very helpful property manager and went way beyond to help us with whatever we needed. This house is a 10 plus and seeing the horses walking the beach was an added bonus. Our little sanctuary.
This is an amazing place to stay! Miles and Betty were great each time we stayed and they made sure everything was perfect. There were some days we didn’t even leave the property! We’re very much looking forward to our next getaway here.

Very windy! Couldn’t sit outside on pour half because of the wind. One camera is right outside the master bedroom. Master bedroom doesn’t have a king size bed. The king size bed is in the second bedroom.

Stylish Get-Away
This beachfront property oozes with design style and sits right on the water. Great big kitchen, comfortable furniture, nice outdoor covered patio. Only drawback of this great house is that the beach is very narrow and short.
