We could tell this was a newly renovated property. Luxurious with great views and in a great location. Just far enough away from the crowded streets of Tamarindo and walking distance to great restaurants and bars. The beach was also better than Tamarindo proper. Two great balconies to watch sunsets from - this place was the best. Thank you for the fresh baked bread!

I searched for months to find exactly the right property for my bucket list family trip. When we arrived, the AC was broken and leaking water and workers were there trying to fix it. The property manager, Lola, came over to let us know it couldn't be fixed quickly and immediately offered two other units and allowed me to check each one. We ended up going with one that was more expensive but FANTASTIC... she offered it to us for a discount due to the stress of having to rearrange plans and it ended up being the best place ever...Matapalo at the Tamarindo Diria...penthouse...it was UNREAL!! Thank you, Lola!!

Beautiful condo walking distance to several great restaurants. Amazing sunsets and a good escape from the craziness of Tamarindo, but still so close to just drive down the beach for the day there. RPM management group is great and helped us plan a family excursion. All around great place and management!

This condo was in the perfect location in Langosta and has everything you need! Lovely pool, steps from the beach, amazing view from the patio for morning coffee and evening glass of wine. So many sleeping options for friends/family - plenty of trundles! We loved it!

We picked this properly mainly because it is close to the beach and advertised a private hot tub on the balcony. While the condo was nice, there was no coffee maker (we did get one 2nd day); and the hot tub was absolutely grimy. We told the management, and a man spent hours trying to clean it, but it is too far gone. I sent pictures to management and would be happy to include in review. The beach in front of condo is too rocky with lots of stones - but you can walk to nice beaches from here. Overall, we would not have spent this much money if we knew that the advertised hot tub was not usable.

We stayed here for 4 days and had a great time. The unit is as descried and the views of the ocean from both balcony's is great. The hot tub didn't seem to be working at the time but that ended up not being a big issue as we didn't feel the need to use it.
There is a good surf break right out front which is accessible by a short walk to the river mouth to the south or paddle over the rocks. Unit is very well kept and your car is locked inside the gate with a guard there 24x7 so I'd say it was pretty safe. The beach is accessible by a walking trail right next to the condo. If your staying here and plan on going into Tamarindo you'll want a car as it's a long, dusty walk otherwise. There does appear to be bus transportation.
My only negative, personal preference here, the beds are a bit firm for my liking. I noticed the same thing at the other booking we had on our trip so maybe it's a Costa Rica thing.
This particular unit does seem to have one of the best views of the ocean at this end of the bech as it's a second and thrid floor with only a palm blocking part of the view from the second floor, no big deal. As I looked around from the surf lineup you could see that most of the other condos had a more limited view of the ocean.
I'd highly recommend this unit. The RPM property management company is located just across the street which is convenient even though we didn't need anything once we got there.

Our family of 5 had a fantastic time, great vacation. Our unit in particular had the most incredible 180 degree views. We walked to Playa Langosta for the beach and Tamarindo for the shopping and restaurants. Our property managers provided hand drawn maps and suggestions for day trips that were quite helpful. We were glad to have rented a car to drive to nearby beaches and villages and to town for dinner. This unit could use some better outside seating options, but the views overshadowed that issue. Stunning. Safe.

My husband and I took 4 teanagers (my 3 and a friend) to CR for Spring Break and they ALL had a great time. The condo was very clean and very nice. Our kids loved having a private hot tub to relax in at night. We had wireless internet and cable tv so everyone could unwind after a long day out. A small grocery store had the necessities and was 2 minutes away, so we had breakfast in every morning! This condo is located in a small upscale area 2 km from Tamarindo, which was a plus for us - close enough to take a quick taxi but too far for our teenagers to walk at night, which kept us from any partying problems or late night bar/band noises. RPM's Lola helped us tremendously in booking fun activities. We rented a private sail boat ( I HIGHLY recommend) on her suggestion. She was very helpful in setting up any trip we wanted and was a pleasure to know. This condo was also just minutes from our favorite beach, so we could go out exploring and still come back and enjoy plenty of sun time. We did not have any problems, but I am sure they would have been addressed quickly, as RPM and the property both have maintenance and were quick to respond to anything we wanted. A surprise was how expensive the food was in CR, which made staying together in the condo a big added bonus, as we had a full kitchen and kept ice cream and snacks and drinks stocked instead of having to get them from the hotel or room service. We LOVED the Langosta Beach club for dinner, which was a short walk from the condo. I would stay at an RPM property again with confidence and highly recommend them - we got what they promised. I appreciate all the details they handled for us!!

I really disliked the ugly mask that were in this condo. I visited #305 because I met the owner and she showed me her was beautifully decorated and extremely homie unlike our place.The jacuzzi never worked and never got fixed in our condo.The view was great and had a wonderfull time.

RPM's Team: Rick, Lola, and Julie, as well as the dedicated on-site team of security, maintenance, housekeeping, and other service personnel made our stay in June, 2011 absolutely incredible. The beautiful 2-floor 3BR/4Bath direct oceanfront condo, its magnificent views, the beautiful endless pool and the lush surroundings were peerless. Also, the Longosta Beach Club and Bamboo Sushi were the very best for lunches and dinners. For groceries,liquor, and all other "just-like-home" needs, get them all at the huge Aero Mercado just 5 minutes outside of town. Don't forget the open-air Farmer's market on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to midday in Villareal, turning right at the main corners, and about 300 yards south on the roadside. also, it's best to bring your own clear-wrapped folding beach chairs and umbrella as an unit of checked luggage on the flight to Liberia. Enjoy!

The Horizontes condo development in Langosto is a wonderful place to stay. The development is beachfront, with a very nice pool and the unit is very nicely furnished. You can have beachfront accommodations while still being close to restaurants and activity in Tamarindo. Unfortunately, the weather was not good for us (in May), but we did have enough sun to see how nice it could be with good weather. Only negative is the road to Langosto from Tamarindo - it is a dirt road and became very muddy with lots of potholes after the rain.

The apartment is great I just think they could have blankets in the master bedroom, and in the kitchen they should have plates to serve the food and the placemates were really in bad shape.There are just small improvements but the price we are paying is really high so I think they should try and improved this little things. The condo is really located in a nice spot. Great ocean views! Unfortunately, there were several issues with the condo. There was no shampoo left. The jacuzzi didn't work. AC worked poorly. The hammock had a giant hole in it. Nowhere to dock an ipod. Most importantly, the staff was rude. After paying $400/night, I was told I had to check out at 10 am (who checks out that early)?!?!?! At 10:05 they sent in they're cleaning crew to make as much noise as possible. When I called the management company to complain, I was told they were purposely being loud to insure we awoke in case we were "too hungover".
