We had a very relaxing 2 weeks in this comfortable cottage in an excellent location. We were a short walk from the Jigger Shop and playground which our grandchildren loved. The kitchen was well stocked with a pantry full of spices for cooking.

We enjoyed staying in this well furnished cottage. The porch was our most favorite place to relax. The location couldn’t be more perfect and is two doors down from the outdoor theatre.

Due to a weather related emergency, we were unable to stay at our original cottage. Ashley and the team at Penn Realty pulled through and helped us to find another cottage at the last minute right before Christmas. Thanks to their thoughtfulness, my family and I were able to have a wonderful Christmas holiday in our home away from home. Beautiful cottages and nice people. We will be back. 😊 Mount Gretna is beautiful no matter what season.

So, this is a decent place in a very nice area. Great bar and restaurant within walking distance. Nice breakfast nook a couple blocks away. The property.... Add says fully updated... Maybe in the early 90's it was... The refrigerator doors were almost falling off, the sofa was well beaten in, and the recliners didn't work on it. Add says check-in is between 1-2 pm... We arranged our schedule and rushed to get there on time. We called about 1:15 when we realized we were running 15 min late. It was at this time we found out that the check-in was done via a "lockbox." The add really should say check in after 2. The "lockbox" was a cheap toolbox with a $0.50 lock on it. And inside were half a dozen unit rental packages... Not secure at all. Add says 2 parking passes for the unit... We only received 1, fortunately there was a small parking lot not far away. Entering the house we could immediately tell it hadn't been cleaned. There were small sticks and leaves all through the carpet. There was old coffee still in the coffee pot, dried on toothpaste in one of the bathroom sinks. The toilets were DISGUSTING. We spent an hour cleaning the place before we moved our stuff in. Sat down to relax, and around 3pm there was a knock at the front door. A man was there to clean the place. I called the host to inform him of the condition of the place, he agreed it was ridiculous that we payed an exorbitant cleaning fee, and had to clean the place ourselves. Said he would "see what he could do" and we never heard from him again.

It’s a nice cottage with a great porch, but it could be better maintained. There were mice in one of the bedroom closets, which made for a difficult night of sleep for my daughter on the first night. However, the leasing agent was very responsive and had an exterminator there quickly. Many of the carpets are well overdue for cleaning, and the dishwasher should be replaced. (The bottom rack of the dishwasher was broken and the detergent door wouldn’t close, which made for chaos when loading/unloading and dishes that had to be washed by hand even after being run through the dishwasher.) There was also lot of clutter around left by either the owner and/or previous tenants — an empty wallet, a child’s hairband, little toys, old rental documents. The internet was also so slow as to make it practically unusable.
