Nestled in McCloud, this lovely house for $410 per night is a great option for your next break. Joanie's is an authentic log home. It sits on a large lot, surrounded by majestic pines. We are one block from downtown in the old fashioned town of Mc Cloud. The Great Room is highlighted by a stone fireplace. You can retire to one of our 5 spacious bedrooms. The Oak Room is named for its fine oak antiques, includes a full bath and king size bed. The Pine Room has rustic pine decor with an open full bath and queen bed. The Wicker Room has a bright and cheery feel with a half bath and queen bed. The Cedar Room is a quaint and cozy loft room, includes an in room sink and queen bed. The 49er room is a fun loft room that sports fans will appreciate, includes a full private bath and a queen bed and a trundle bed. There is an additional full bath and washer/dryer available downstairs. Our kitchen area is fully stocked with anything you might need. My family had a great stay at this cabin! We loved being so close to downtown McCloud. The layout worked well for kids and adults. There were lots of games and books available. We also were able to get ahold of the hosts during our stay and they were very responsive.

Enjoyed our 30th year McCloud fishing trip with buddies that work for similar volunteer assignments in the summers and always enjoy a week or so fishing and visiting. We really enjoy the Smith's house. Booking for next year already.

Spacious and comfortable log cabin living. We had good bedroom space for 7 and could have housed a few more. Just a couple blocks from Main St. which allowed us to walk to our quilting retreat there.

My friends and i stayed here fir our annual labor day women only trip. The cabin is spectacular with lots of space for BBQ, group meals, games and conversations. We visited the town, took some nice walks and enjoyed our time together. It was a great location, close to town but not in ot. Neighbors were friendly and quiet. We will definitely come back again if we can.

We like the house and location with one exception this year. Next store neighbors which is some type of multifamily compound were using a chainsaw everyday into the early evening which was very annoying.

We had a large group with kids ranging in age from 2 - 8 years old. The house is definitely unique and fun. The big yard for the kids to play was also a big star for this property! We will definitely consider staying again!

We had a family wedding in McCloud and stayed at Richard and Alexa’s log cabin. The house was very spacious and comfortable - and our boys had a great time roaming the large property. We loved how close (one block over) we were from Main Street and walking distance from everything in town. Would def come back again and would highly recommend!

Amazing property and close proximity to the historic downtown and McCloud hotel. We enjoyed the amazing stone fireplace and there was ample firewood to keep the Great Room warm and cozy. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the TV working but didn’t really need it. All the rooms had comfortable beds and the hallway bathroom I used had a shower with great water pressure. Richard and Alexa were amazing hosts before and during our stay. They even allowed us to stay past our check-out time which helped us time our departure between storms. We even had a snowplow come through and plow the driveway just before we had to leave. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable weekend with family. We hope to return in the summer to enjoy all the hiking and waterfalls Thank you Richard and Alexa

We had a great long weekend here. Enjoyed the big open fire place which was cozy at night. The layout was great. The Niners won their game which made the Niners room extra fun:). We played in snow around the property and at the sledding hill. It’s a short walk into town- we visited some of the shops and restaurants. Overall a really nice stay.

This McCloud log cabin was a great place to stay. The cabin's kitchen was well stocked with cookware and lots of spices. It is very comfortable and cozy. The odd thing is the bathrooms, 2 of them are placed in the rooms closets. But other than that its a great cabin!

This house was even better in person. So spacious to hold everyone. Everyone’s favorite features were the private bathrooms in the rooms and the fireplace. The living room and kitchen being all in one open room was so beneficial for everyone being able to still participate in the chats when cooking or doing dishes. They had everything needed possible for making dinners at home. The extra counter in the laundry room came to an aid as an extra pantry for our dry goods - helped keeping the kitchen not so cluttered. Beds were comfortable. We didn’t realize how close you were to Shasta. On the perfect blue day, you saw that mountain smack thru the windows. We would recommend this place to other friends or stay there again ourselves.

Six adults in our group, home is spacious both inside & out. Equipped with everything needed & dog friendly! We happened to come when the Apple Harvest Festival was on & it was nice to be walking distance to the town event. A short drive to Mount Shasta too. Owners were very responsive to my inquiries & the check in/out was easy.

Great location in McCloud…short walk to historical “downtown” and nearby market. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for relaxation and dining…plus evening entertainment from a bear snooping around the garbage can!

We had such an amazing time. The house worked perfectly for the 6 of us. McCloud is a lovely, sleepy town - we took many pleasant walks and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Meat Market along with sitting outdoors enjoying the stars and the barbecue! We grabbed groceries at Traders Joes (we were heading South to North). There is also a sweet healthfood store we love in Shasta Lake (about 17 mins away). Per the host's suggestions, we brought beach towels for our river and lake swims but the house provides all the linens and house towels needed. The host was so helpful and communicative. We will can't wait to return.

The Log house has been our yearly family reunion go to destination for 8 years. It has everything we need; a great place to gather for meals outside, a clean private bed room for each couple and our now grown children still can enjoy their privacy upstairs. The house is nestled in quiet neighborhood. McCloud is a small town and we love the tranquil atmosphere. It is a perfect base for all the activities our families enjoy. Lake Siskiyoiu for a swim or to the McCloud river for fishing. Even just a long drive through the forest. The owners are great checking to see that we have everything we need but not intrusive. We look forward to next years reunion.

Our first family stay at this spacious log cabin was in October of 21. Not only did it accommodate our group's variety of needs (adults and infant), the entire family commented how comfortable it was and we immediately rebooked a stay for this July. Being a grilling family, we really enjoyed the new high end Weber grill on the spacious deck. We will be booking a new date for next year.
