Beautifully remodeled beach cottage in the perfect location! The beach is literally just a few steps from your front door! Enjoy the peaceful setting of the beaches on the North end of Amelia Island. This home is also within easy walking distance to Main Beach, which offers a playground, miniature golf, and seafood restaurants. This home is just a short drive or bike ride to downtown Fernandina Beach and very convenient to the Atlantic Recreation Center pool, which traditionally offers public access and a kids splash park for a small fee. This is a wonderful location to enjoy the beach and lots of other great family activities, like Ft. Clinch just around the corner. The home itself has been completed remodeled and designed with comfort and style in mind. It is truly the perfect cozy cottage and has that old-fashioned Amelia Island charm. The kitchen has been beautifully updated with stainless steel appliances and bathroom has all new fixtures. Beds have high-end linens to give you a comfortable stay. The outdoor shower is convenient after a day at the beach. Please note that only dogs are considered but they must be approved by management. There are size and breed restrictions, and guests must agree to certain terms and conditions. A $150 nonrefundable pet fee will be required and guests must sign the pet agreement. If the pet fee is not automatically applied at booking, it will be after the reservation is created. Note that dogs must be current on all vaccinations, be house broken, be spayed or neutered, and must be sociable with people and other dogs. This place is stocked with everything we needed and more. Located in a quiet area literally steps from the beach Highly recomend this place for a romantic getaway or small family vacation. The management was very helpful in getting items returned we accidently left behind, We will be back.

The size of the property was just wright for us. We enjoyed the kitchen with all the proper utensils.
Access to the beach was perfect.
We will come back around September 2024 as long as the rent remain reasonable.

Very nice place for our family of three to stay at the beach. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything utensil-wise we needed, and the house is beachfront. Would stay here again!

What a gem! Perfect location to beach and quiet area of Fernandina beach. Well stocked kitchen, washer and dryer were handy and the house is beautiful inside. Loved staying here and would book this place again. Only downside......leaving!

My husband, and two dogs stayed here for the weekend. My husband is from This area and he was so fun to, “vacation” here. The location is perfect! The house was above standards!! Comfortable beds, tv, everything you need in the kitchen, beach chairs, washer and dryer! I will totally be looking to book this location again! It’s a short bike ride to Fort clinch, and Main beach bars/restaurants. Thank you for hosting us!!!

This is the third time my family of 4 has stayed in this property. The space is is just right, with 2 bedrooms, and the location is even better - just steps from the beach. This house is equipped with useful amenities, including a washer and dryer, which is a major plus.
Communication with the property managers was as simple as can be and the check in/out process was very straight forward. Highly recommended!

So stinking cute and in the perfect location for my daughter and I a girls getaway! Had everything we needed and was very clean! Will definitely stay here again!

This place is nice, clean with great location. Loved our stay. Only negative is the fact they expect ypu to do all the laundrty including bedfing the day you check out with a 10 am check out time plus take all garbage to road. Unrealistic to be able to do 2 to 3 loads of laundry, fold, put away and make up beds. Unless you get up at 5 am its not feasible.

We were very pleased with this rental! It was a great place to watch the sunrise and strategically close to the ocean, downtown Fernandina Beach, several good restaurants, and a number of good golf courses.
The kitchen was well appointed and the washer and dryer were well placed and easy to use. The parking was very convenient.
Close to the amazing Nassau Humane Society Dog Park, too.
Hope to return next year!

We absolutely fell in love with this quaint house on the beach. The size was perfect for us, and it’s location was ideal. I can’t wait to book another trip here and make staying at this home a tradition.

The cottage was extremely clean, nicely renovated with the ocean just over the dunes. This older cottage makes one nostalgic for when the beach was lined with many similar small houses. Amelia Island Vacations staff members were very helpful and addressed a minor maintenance issue quickly. Property was well stocked all around - and in all rooms. Cottage's private lot on the ocean with a picnic table and chairs was a real plus, and parking could accommodate several vehicles. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!!

While the cottage is very modest-looking from the outside, it is beautiful and up to date inside. The queen bed was very comfortable, and the second bedroom would be comfortable for two (children or adults). The appliances are modern, and the kitchen was well equipped. Beach access is within 50’ of the front door. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a perfect spot for total relaxation. The property had plenty of room for two couples. Also ample parking for our vehicles and kayak trailer.
All of the appliances were in perfect working order. The space was uncluttered, neat and tidy.
The whole atmosphere of the island was slow placed and friendly. Fort Clinch was a pleasure to visit, as were the shops downtown. We rented electric bikes, which was more fun than the law should allow. We ended up riding almost 40 miles mostly on the natural canopy shaded bike path.
The beach was beautiful, although not much shelling to be had. While we were there, it was also too rough for fishing. I’m sure there is plenty of both to be had nearby, but we were kept entertained regardless.
If you have anyone in your party interested in skateboarding there is a wonderful skateboard park very close, along with a park for the children to play.
The Destination Amelia team was very helpful and responsive. I wouldn’t hesitate renting this property again, or another offered by the the DA team.

Perfect location, beautiful, clean, uncrowded, laid back beach. Good surfing and fishing. Beach is short walk over dunes. Sea turtles were nesting. House great for small family, simple, clean, just right for us.
Minutes from state park and nearby playgrounds for a break from the beach for kids. Will come again.

The beach is just over the bluff & goes on forever! House was clean & comfy & very nicely appointed all the way around. Easy to park, easy walk to beach, great place & my pup went too.

If your looking for great beach access then you found your spot. House is well appointed, has everything you need for a vacation. The one area I would improve is the outside sitting area, picnic table needs to be upgraded (not a bad idea to have table cloth to at least cover the old wood). But inside is exactly as advertised. Nice house. Had a great week

Review of Beach Retreat
From the pictures and description the place seemed like an idealic hideaway, although when we got there we were disappointed. The property was advertised as beachfront, although from inside of the home we had no views of the beach. We looked out at a sand road and the dunes. If plan on spending all of your time out at the beach or exploring parks it is a great spot for a good value. Although if you want to spend any time relaxing in a beautiful home this might not be the place for you.

Very nicely Updated and decorated older beach cottage and
with more roomy inside than expected!
Very Comfortable beds and furniture and had picnic table and chairs on front patio to enjoy sitting out.
Dog friendly and all on one floor which was great for our older pup.
Included everything needed for our stay at the beach.
Very peaceful and quiet with beach access one house over.
Will look forward to coming again.

Romantic getaway.
The property managers were fantastic. This was my 16yr wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday. The property managers left her and us card and helped me by leaving a dozen roses prior to check in.

This place was amazing. It was one of the smallest properties there but dont let that fool you. Looks exactly like the pictures, beautiful. House had everything that we needed. Quiet little community, not touristy. Perfect for our anniversary with NO KIDS. There was 1 bedroom with a very comfortable king bed and a 2nd bedroom that had 2 twin beds. It took 30 seconds to walk from the house to the ocean front. Beach was beautiful and very very quiet.

Very clean and modern from the inside. The outside isn't much to look at but the use of space inside is amazing. We have always stayed in larger houses so weren't sure how this will work out. This small cottage felt larger than it is. It is so close to the beach and is close to everything.
