Worst-maintained OBX property in which I've ever stayed; photos are so out-of-date as to be significantly misleading. Here is the list of defects we identified during our stay...I've moved the ones with greatest "ick" factor to the top: • Roaches...lots of them. • Leak from ceiling in 2nd floor queen bedroom - toilet/brown water from the 3rd floor toilet fell on the bed & forced the plumber to open a large hole in the ceiling (leak was fixed but the hole was not before we left) • Leak from ceiling in 1st floor game room, likely related to the 2nd floor ceiling leak • Toilets were filthy - all have significant mold/mildew growth under the rims • Fridge water dispenser & ice maker very slow, dirty, & mildewy • Dishes left dirty from previous renters • Exterior needs to be picked up/de-littered - lots of accumulated garbage outside in the back & side areas that we had to pick up • Broken Keurig coffeemaker • Drip coffeemaker needs replacement • No over-dune deck walkway to beach • 1st floor back door hardware sticks & is extremely hard to open • 3rd floor front balcony doorknob lock stuck & won't open • Pool table is unusable - felt is old, worn, & pockmarked • Broken Stairmaster (seen in photos) - needs to be fixed or removed • Massive amount of assorted junk in 1st floor storage/water heater closet • 3rd floor large TV screen has dark spot in lower left corner • 3rd floor small TV is not connected to anything; appears useless except plugging in game units • 3rd floor stereo is broken & unconnected to anything • Broken drawer units in various bedrooms • Extremely worn & uncomfortable 3rd floor furniture (couches and cushioned chairs) • Driveway concrete & pavers in need of repair • Puzzles on 3rd floor are all mixed up - replace or remove (this is minor, but fits with the overall issues with this place.) I recommend avoiding this unit until the owner puts some money back into the place.

The house is nice but needs some tlc. There are spots on the floor inside the back door that have replaced with new floor boards but haven't had new linoleum. There are also spots that are very soft that haven't been replaced. Someone will fall through them if not replaced soon. The pool was only half full. When we asked the inspector who was in the driveway when we arrived about the pool, he made a call to some lady at resort realty. She screamed and hollered obscenities about how it was November so of course the pool was closed. She stated that it said that it was posted that way on the website but we rented from vrbo and there was nothing on that listing about pool being closed. My grandson found a $20 bill in the sectional upstairs. Made him happy but made us all wonder about how well the house was cleaned. The wooden chairs on the 3rd floor had disconnected spindles that had been glued many times prior to our stay. Luckily no one fell while sitting in one of the chairs. The phone number to call listed inside the elevator and on the fridge to call resort realty is disconnected. I know because the elevator did trap 3 of us inside. My son reset the house power to get us out before maintenance could get there. Our first experience with resort realty and probably our last.

Easy check in, great location. Needs to fix the boardwalk to the beach but other than that, it was great

Home has great views of the ocean from the top floor. Partially blocked by house next door that sits closer to the ocean. Rooms on second level had only partial low view over dunes. The home was clean, but could use some updates. Plenty of parking for a large family group. Nice large pool. Access to beach needs updating. The steps or dune were no longer present. Very large drop off to beach. Some of our party never went on the beach because of this. Reasonably priced home that would rate about a 2.5 or low 3 on hotel rating scale.
