The property was great and the location was amazing, even though we were passing through. It was nice to walk around Memorial Art Gallery’s outside sculpture park - located half a block away.
The apartment is spacious and private, and the stocked kitchen (with a few breakfast essentials) was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.
This wasn’t a drawback for us, but it does need to be mentioned that the apartment is located on the third floor.

Stayed two night for the Rochester Jazzfestival. Easy walk to festival, many amenities and easy to get to other mid-downtown attractions.
The place was immaculate and we entered with great ambiance.
Highly recommend.

Nice property, good location , we enjoyed our stay . We recommend sending the check in info or some type of communication earlier ; it made us a bit nervous when we couldn’t communicate with the owner the day before

Fabulous accomodations in the heart of Rochester. Everything was perfect, I would recommend this location to anyone headed to this city.

It was a cute apartment. My family enjoyed staying there. Very quit neighborhood, but still in the middle of things to do

The apartment was even better than expected. It is located near downtown and is surrounded by some architecturally beautiful old buildings. Everything you might need is provided by Lisa and the apartment was spotlessly clean. It is tastefully decorated and the fresh baked goods, milk, eggs and chocolates were a nice touch. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for everything Lisa.

This place is gorgeous, sparkling clean, with two bedrooms and 1.5 baths, FULLY equipped kitchen, pretty, quirky views out the windows of old, interesting buildings, every amenity you need, walkable to shops etc. I don't know why you'd stay anywhere else.

Great property very clean check in process super easy Just know it is a few stairs up if you are older and can't climb stairs. But otherwise the two bedrooms were spacious and thank you for the chocolate in the coffee nice touch. Would highly recommend that VRBO

As folks said—narrow staircase and several doors to go through so I was prepared for that. Apartment was great. If I’m traveling this way wife my wife, I’ll stay here.

Lisa is a wonderful host. We have stayed here several times through the years. The apartment is in a beautiful part of Rochester and close to many cultural locations. Everything is as advertised. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Great apartment but LOTS of stairs- 30+.
Great apartment in a wonderful location. Well appointed and very thoughtful goodies that were much appreciated! We did have confusion when we googled the address it came up as a business. Texts to host went unamswered. Phone calls to the host got a message for that business. Fearing this was a scam I spent 3 hours on phone with VRBO . The host did call eventually and we were relieved. I believe the post shoud have mentioned the stairs as well as the business that shares the house to avoid confusion. We might stay there again, but the stairs may be a deterrant for us (63yo and 74yo active but old !)

The apartment is lovely. Bed is comfortable. lots of pillows. Kitchen is well stocked. Eggs, milk and butter in the fridge was a nice touch - plenty of tea in the cupboard. The loveseat in the living room doesn't look like it would be comfortable, but it is. The air conditioners worked well. Lisa was great to deal with and answered our questions quickly. A little confusion at check in was handled well. Great neighborhood, near museums and East Avenue shopping. You must be able to handle stairs to stay here though. There are about 8 concrete steps (4 + 4) to get to the outside door and thirty (30) narrow steps to get to the third floor apartment- with a door 3/4 of the way up that opens out over the stairs and could knock you over if you are not careful. The stairs are not mentioned in the listing and we found the apartment to be worth the climb, but as a person with a chronic illness that at times in the past would have made 30 steps an insurmountable obstacle - I think they should be.

This property is in a great central location on a beautiful street. The apartment itself was bigger than I expected - lots of storage, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, dining area, full laundry, etc. Our host was communicative and helpful. Easy to get to all of the downtown locations in Rochester - easy walking distance to the Strong museum.
It was perfect for our family of 3 - space for everyone to decompress and have alone time (sometimes so rare during vacations.)
We will absolutely stay here again when we next visit Rochester.

We have stayed at Lisa’s property for the second time, while visiting our daughter at College. Lisa’s hospitality is always great. The warm touches she leaves upon arrival are delightful.

This place deserves all of the stars! The owner provided very detailed instructions so we were easily able to access the apartment. We were visiting RIT - this apt a great location to check out downtown Rochester before touring the campus. Here are the highlights from my family of three (mom, dad & 17-year old):
Free off street parking
Attention to detail: as we walked to Strombolis to pick up a pizza for dinner, I remarked that the owner really thought through what we’d need and took care to provide everything. This thought popped into my head most likely because we were each carrying one of the umbrellas we found by the door. We made it to Strombolis and back in between rain showers and I do believe it was those umbrellas that kept the rain at bay! In addition to the umbrellas, there were full sized bottles of shampoo and body wash in the bathroom, books and games, plenty of pillows and blankets, and the kitchen was stocked better than any VRBO rental I’ve visited to date (oatmeal, every kind of tea, spices, fresh brown eggs and cream in the fridge). I wish I’d planned on cooking more when I saw that lovely little kitchen!
Chocolates! This gets its own line item because it was a delight to watch my husband discover little troves of Dove and Ghirardelli chocolate throughout the apartment “there are more in the bedroom!” was one of his first observations. When we left, my husband remarked that he wished he could leave the owner some chocolates.
The queen bed was super comfortable and from dusk to dawn the apartment was completely quiet.
There are several air purifiers which stood out to us as traveling Pittsburghers (the PA county where we live frequently has the worst air quality in the country and I can rarely have my windows open at home). I don’t know that one night was enough for me to fully escape the air pollution symptoms I regularly suffer, but it was nice to breath easy for a bit!
Delicious filtered tap water. My husband figured out the filter on the kitchen sink and we were able to refill our supply of water bottles which was a big benefit as we’re committed to traveling with minimal single use plastic.
Everything in the apartment is really luxurious - loved the soft carpet!
The stairs to access the apartment are steep but once you’re up there - wow!
