We loved the view, kitchen and comfortable beds. This house is so cozy I wish we would have planned all of our meals to stay in. The quiet neighborhood and town were perfect for our getaway from the hustle and bustle.

House was just as described. The view is the best I have ever seen - the location was perfect. No problem with parking. Kitchen was great to cook in. It was exactly what we were looking for.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and a total of $2,300. The place has great views and a lot of potential, but at $750 per night we should not have had the ant problem we encountered. There were ants in the bed, bathroom, kitchen, living room, everywhere. My wife and I are very clean and ate out each night so it’s not like we had things laying around to provoke them.
The pictures within the listing make the actual house look far nicer than it is. The house is dated along with the furniture. It is a shame as the views give it so much potential, but it should be in more of the $300 per night category.

Pros: Great location, close to shopping and restaurants. Amazing, unobstructed ocean views from balcony. Comfortable home. Safe for kids to run around. Big, comfortable kitchen table and open concept home layout.
Cons: Biggest issue was no washer / dryer, as there was no open laundromat in the area (Of note, there is a washer and dryer in the home, but there was a sign asking not to use them).
Home as a whole could use updating. Tint layer is peeling off of the ocean view windows, old kitchen amenities (pots and pans are scratched pretty bad and need replaced). Sofa in front of TV is very small and uncomfortable.

The property was nice and spacious for the 3 of us. I wish we could use the washer/dryer and outside firepit but it was locked up. The courtyard was great with the table to have breakfast and the backyard with deck was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous views and such a nice treat

We booked thru VRBO and it was managed by Vacasa. It was a very poor communications with Vacasa to get the key code to enter the home. On web, they say code will be given a week in advance but no response from Vacasa after several messages a day before the date of rental. While on phone, they said code is sent but did not happen. Finally they said, code would be sent 9 AM on the day of the rental while we are traveling. It was a bad experience!!

To start with the positive. The location of this property is wonderful, the ocean view from the house/patio is amazing. Second time in this rental and the property has gotten much worse. Dirty and not maintained. Will Likely not return because of filth. Unless significant cleanup is done would not recommend.
There were a LOT of rat droppings under the sink. Ants everywhere.
Only one set of sheets for master bed and had significant blood stains (assume period stains) on it. Gross and couldn’t replace so just washed sheets again. Washer / dryer barely work.
Dish sponge was used / wet when we arrived. Also greeted by a dishwasher full of dirty dishes and a dirty dish towel in drawer. Unacceptable, especially during Covid times.
Even the walls were dirty, pictures were moved and the spiderwebs behind them (and million little dead bugs in them ) were not cleaned. Water stains on the wall in master.
Only one bath towel per person, not a big deal, but definitely an inconvenience considering the washer/dryer barely work and had to be run multiple times to get some sort of a wash.
Overall property was too dirty to enjoy. Million unitaskers in the kitchen but lacking all amenities that can actually be used. Very disappointed.

It’s hard to beat the views from this property. They really are exquisite. The house is well stocked, beds are comfortable and clean, and the gas fireplace was lovely in the cool evenings. As mentioned, there definitely are ants around - but we kept all food in the fridge and that worked well so they weren’t a big bother. Overall, really great place.

Gorgeous location
It’s hard to beat the views from this property. They really are exquisite. The house is well stocked, beds are comfortable and clean, and the gas fireplace was lovely in the cool evenings. As mentioned, there definitely are ants around - but we kept all food in the fridge and that worked well so they weren’t a big bother. Overall, really great place.

The house was overall pretty nice. A few problems thought. I couldn’t get there ceiling fan to work and 4 of six of the burners on the stove wouldn’t light. Also it needs a more thorough cleaning. Draws by kitchen sink were filthy. Also needs a good mopping. View was amazing from the deck.

The view, the view, the view. I cannot say enough about the view. It felt like the ocean is right underneath us. We even had ocean view from the main bedroom, WOW!
Great privacy and close to everything, restaurants, shopping, beaches, hiking etc. We even walked (2 minute walk) to a great little Mexican restaurant in pouring rain. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy the beautiful balcony because of heavy rain.
Very nice large kitchen that is actually part of the Great Room" with a gas fireplace.

Ocean front house in Gualala
The view, the view, the view. I cannot say enough about the view. It felt like the ocean is right underneath us. We even had ocean view from the main bedroom, WOW!
Great privacy and close to everything, restaurants, shopping, beaches, hiking etc. We even walked (2 minute walk) to a great little Mexican restaurant in pouring rain. Unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy the beautiful balcony because of heavy rain.

What else is there to say - the view was incredible. You can see the ocean from every room other than the one bedroom in the back. The property was very clean and the furnishings and beds were comfortable. It’s a short walk to the Main Street to the Mexican restaurant -
The Black Door - and a five minute drive to grocery stores, the Four Eyed Frog bookstore, and various restaurants. .

This is a lovely home with an exquisite view. The home was very well appointed & clean. The gas fireplace is very nice and adds to the ambiance. The kitchen and living room are a great place to relax and is where we spent most of our time. The location was great, close to town and grocery stores and easy access to many beaches that are only a 5 to 15 minute drive.
Some issues were that the ants in the kitchen were impossible to handle and any food left out on the large island was covered in tiny ants after a short time. We were warned in advance but wow, it was a constant fight that we lost and had to throw out some food unfortunately. The cooking utensils in the kitchen were very dirty and needed washing before use. We finally found the kitchen towels in the washing machine and that they were unwashed upon our arrival. The laundry is quite finicky as we found out immediately which likely explains why the towels weren't washed. The 'king bed' in the ocean view room isn't a king at all, it is two twins pushed together with a foam connector in-between which creates a rather obvious lump. This was difficult for us since we are tall individuals and having your feet hanging off of the bed wasn't restful. The other bed, queen sized, had a huge dip on one side which posed it own challenges and caused lack of sleep. Perhaps more chairs or a table on the back deck where the view is would be nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay but could have had a better one without the ants and uncomfortable beds. The view can't be beat and we saw many birds and seals which was fun.

Power through this for a season and you should be golden. 6 remotes by the TV when you only use one, do not need that. Figuring out how to warm the place up would really help with some instructions. Mostly positives with only a handful of issues.

As long as there are fresh ant traps in the master bathroom and the kitchen, you'll be fine. It's a small price to pay for the gorgeous views this house provides.

The most amazing view
This house is as beautiful as the photos, and the views even more so! We spent hours on the deck overlooking the ocean, and it was so dark at night, we had an amazing view of the night sky. The rooms are spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stock and has almost any appliance you can think of. We were warned about the ant problem, and indeed, there is one. As long as there are fresh ant traps in the master bathroom and the kitchen, you'll be fine. It's a small price to pay for the gorgeous views this house provides.

I loved the extra sized master bed(s) Couldn't tell I was sharing with my sister! NOTE: There was no cell phone connection at the house.A few things to consider: Having a "welcome binder" with tips and phone numbers for places to eat, local favorite spots, emergency maintanace, and instructions on how to operate media and appliances would have helped us, especially when trying to use the 3 different remotes. We gave up. What electrical switch turned on what was a hunt. Any way to label these?The kitchen was lacking a few helpful items: measuring cups, mixing bowls, salt and pepper, paper napkins, plastic wrap, aluminum foil and maybe paper or plastic cups for the bathrooms. When arriving after dark the parking area is VERY dark and the steps down to the patio a bit scary for us oldies.We enjoyed our time in your house and would love to return. Thank you.
