I loved that it was dog friendly with a fenced in patio area so my dog could safely go outside. Great location, close to grocery store, downtown Clayton and 10 minute drive to Alexandria Bay. Clean, comfortable and friendly.

The dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The food selection was diverse and offered gluten free options which I appreciated.
The room was clean and quiet.
It would have been nice to have a full length mirror, or any mirror in addition to the bathroom.

I couldn't find any trash recepticals outside fir pet waste.

The restaurant at The Clipper Inn was very good. The restaurant’s staff were also very good.
Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The rooms were very small.

The room (#10) was generally dirty. The main entrance needed sweep and the door washed. It looked like a dog had p'd on it. The floor was sticky and door sill to patio covered in mold. Linens appeared to be clean.

The floor was so dirty our feet were black. We had to wear our shoes.

Lightening was poor, tv wasn’t the best, sound low, too many spider nests around.

the food is the best in Clayton. loved the room and the owner Michael is one of the most accommodating, kindest man I had the pleasure of meeting.

We came into to town for a wedding and this was the perfect place to stay. Close to the wedding venue and town with comfy Adirondack chairs outside to sit and watch the world go by.
The bed sheets were a little rough. We couldn't get the TV to work but that may have been more on us but notes on how to use the TV could be helpful.

Breakfast was not included. The room was very comfortable and we had the use of 2 beds, refrigerator, microwave and TV.
We also liked the idea we could open the window for fresh air if we didn't want to use the air conditioner. It was also in
a great location for everything we wanted to do and the view of the River was great.
The refrigerator needed a wipe down. The shower head in the bathroom had a crack in it at the connector so the water
didn't flow very well. Manager was notified.

Our room was very clean , the front porch was home like and comfy. It was peaceful and quiet ,staff was polite nd more thn happy to assist with everything. The price was decent and below most others I looked at it was more thn exspected for the money. great job clipper inn.

Such a cute motel. Really loved the location and the people working there were exceptional!
We rode in on motorycles and felt really safe leaving our bikes out all night. Overall very accomodating. Will be coming again when we do the ride down next year!
A few cobwebs in the room, but honestly everything else overshadowed any cobwebs that lingered in the room.

it’s clean
Very noisy between doors slamming and the people next to us and noise from in the parking lot. No ice machine, you have to go to the restaurant with your ice bucket. Outdated.

The decor was similar to walking into my parents home in the 1990’s … comfortable and a bit dated. The quality of linens and towels was adequate, not fancy. The price I paid gave me cleanliness and usable amenities. There was nothing to dislike.
