Excellent House, just as described and just as beautiful as the pictures. No complaints at all. Very nice large and clean pool, godd outside areas. The road up to the house is a bit narrow, but you get used to it.

A beautiful rural property. Casa Joya is a joy to stay in. Communication and support was great. The villa is comfortable and spacious. It is really well equipped. The outdoor pool area is perfect for a lovely relaxing holiday. The only downside is the getting in and out of the property. If you are a nervous driver, this is not the property for you. If you want a relaxing stay with beautiful views, then this is it. Excellent directions to find the property.

Cassie Joya was a secluded restful stay, well equipped which lived up to its name. The directions to the property were excellent helped by the useful signs at every turn. Outside seating was very comfortable assisted by the blinds on the veranda to block out the intensity of the afternoon sun. Would recommend a stay.

This is a very nice, well equipped villa with a lovely pool and gardens. It's worth the winding drive up the mountain as the views are stunning. A great place to stay.

Stayed here for almost two weeks and it was fantastic especially if you are looking to get away from the crowds high up in the hills. The villa was clean, spacious and very comfortable with everything you need once you've done your shopping. Plus the views of the surrounding hills and mountains are amazing and you can take them in while cooling off in the swimming pool. Torrox Costa is about 10 min but car to go for shopping or try out the seaside restaurants, the roads up and down are interesting at times. I'd also highly recommend visiting Frigiliana. Overall loved the villa and would love to go back.

Had a marvellous week at Casa Joya (well-named!). It looked difficult to access on the map, but Joy's detailed directions and the signs at the key junctions meant there were no problems, although you still had to be careful negotiating the narrow roads. Joy and Tony were very pleasant hosts, calling in to visit on the 2nd morning to check that all was well. The location and views from the villa were stunning, and it was utterly peaceful:nothing to be heard except the occasional barking of a dog. Lovely pool, a very comfortable covered terrace where I had my meals, and a roof terrace from where I saw eagles on 3 occasions. Plus Sky Sports and BT Sports on the TV! Add in a week's unbroken sunshine, dramatic sunsets and a magnificent array of stars visible at night, and you have the reasons for the title of this review!

The villa was very well presented, clean and tidy, and well equipped. Due to flight availability, we arrived very late but gaining entry to the property was no problem. A well equipped kitchen with all the usual appliances, a good selection of TV channels for the quiet evenings, nice sized pool and a spectacular view.

We have stayed in this area a few times before so knew the area pretty well, but had forgotten just how narrow and windy the approach road can be. But it is worth the trip for the views and peace and quiet. The villa is well positioned for sun all day. The pool is a constant 28 deg and is kept crystal clear. The various seating areas are great as you can have as much or little sun/shade as you choose. There are loads of easily accessible restaurants and bars within 20/30 minutes drive. The villa is well equipped and the aircon in the living room and master bedroom worked well. The tv and wifi were excellent, all the sky sports and film channels as well as regular channels. we had a great time and would definitely recommend this place as a fantastic holiday get away. Being 100% honest I must say the 2 single beds were very squeaky and noisy although comfortable, and the w/c plumbing is Greek style (no paper in the pan !) these 2 minor issues didn't spoil our holiday. Any minor issues were dealt with quickly by the maintenance crew, "Spiker " and his wife who are both lovely. All things said, we had a great two weeks of relaxation, good local food and enjoyment. Don't miss out on this villa.

We have just returned from a lovely holiday at Casa Joya and can thoroughly recommend it for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday. The villa was spacious and modern with good air conditioning and wifi and also a variety of outside eating areas and a lovely terrace. We would start the day with breakfast by the pool overlooking spectacular mountain views and then go for a 40 minute walk around the mountain. Tony and Joy were lovely hosts and it was a pleasure to meet them and hear all about their travels. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

The property was very pleasant, with a large array of cooking and eating facilities provided so that you can self cater as much as you want. There are several supermarkets within reasonable close proximities if you need to purchase your own food. There were several eating places, both indoors and outdoors whichever was more pleasant at the time. The road up to the property from Torrox Pueblo is quite tricky, but with careful and steady driving it can be negotiated easily. My wife and I negotiated the trip almost daily and had no incidents. The pool and air conditioning were both excellent features of the property, as the temperature while we were there was constantly above 30 deg. C. We also used the separate granny flat and found it very well appointed. We used it often so that we could have our own space away from the rest of the family for parts of the day. The television reception was very good and as the television was a smart TV, we could watch our favourite shows on Netflix as often as we liked. There was also a good selection of free to air shows and a UK cable system of stations, which gave good versatility in viewing pleasure. The property was very quiet and tranquil and we were never bothered with wild animals or creatures of any sort. We regularly spent time around the pool or on the front balcony area so as to enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful early mornings or late nights with great pleasure. We had 3 generations of family staying at the property and we all enjoyed the liveability of the property.

Just back from 2 weeks in Casa Joya and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to chill out in the sun away from it all. From early mornings sitting by the pool looking out over the spectacular views of the village below and the mountains around you, to long evenings sitting round the table enjoying the stunning sunsets this place is a must! Travelled with 3 adults and a child and found the villa, and the annex, had everything you would have wanted. Wifi was great, kitchen had it all and the outdoor bbq was given some serious usage! All the comforts of home have been taken care of by the owners and there was simply nothing I could suggest to make the experience better. The drive up to the villa is a breeze and worth it for what you experience when get there. Will certainly be back - want to give a special shout out to Heather the property manager. She was great on the couple of occasions we needed to contact her - so prompt in responding and couldn't do enough to help. Damian - July 2018

We chose Casa Joya because of its proximity to the coast. Only 15 minutes in the car to Torrox Costa, or a few minutes more to Caleta or Torre del Mar. Villa is well equipped and comfortable. The air conditioning is all good. The pool area is a lovely spot to spend an afternoon. Booking the casa with Joy was straightforward, swift replies to emails as you would expect. This is the 6th time we have stayed at Casa Joya and we just love it ! The property is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The neighbours are great and the surrounding countryside is stunning. Even being in the hills you are only 15 minutes to the beach - really recommend !

The house and pool was as good as we hoped and even better. The road up to the house is narrow and steep, but no problem when you take it easy. 10 minutes drive to charming Torrox and between 15 - 20 minutes to the beach from the house was perfect for us. We wanted a private space and that was what we got! The internet was suprisingly fast but sometimes it was poor, (it was very good most of the time!) If we should suggest an improvement it is some larger pots. We are a family of 5 people with 3 boys from 14 - 21 years of age, and we need "big" pots for cooking ;-) Thank you for a fantastic stay,and we consider very much to come again sometime!

The Villa was excellent with a lovely pool and sun terraces. Everything we needed was to hand and we made very good use of the barbecue. Joy the owner was so easy to deal with and everything was absolutely straight forward. Paul and Lizzi, the villa managers came to see us and couldn't have been more helpful with slight query we had about using one of the showers. Visited Casa Joya from 7th May - 17th May. Had a lovely holiday, location is beautiful and views are incredible. Lucky enough to meet the owners and both were very personable and welcoming. Joy arranged a travel cot and high chair for our young baby with no problem. Also were lucky enough to visit the other property just down the lane which is offered by Tony and Joy which is also lovely. You would need transport to stay here and this location is ideal if you wanted to visit popular surrounding locations such as Frigiliana which is beautiful and also TorroxTorrox and Nerja. Cannot recommend this villa enough and we would definitely stay here again.

Well, we returned home relaxed and rested after a lovely holiday at Casa Joya. To sit on the terrace with a glass of wine looking at the beautiful views then watching the sunset was amazing. We did some lovely country walks and saw eagles overhead. The beach, promenade and lots of restaurants were only a few mins drive away so we had peace and quiet at home then life when we wanted it. The villa was clean and spacious and very well equipped. We will definitely be back!

If the intention of your holiday is to relax, have sumptuous views, have all the facilities at hand, and to enjoy the best of your chosen location, then this should be for you. Yes, getting there is challenging, but the trade off is what you find at the end. The villas position overlooks the valley interspersed with other farms and residences. There are no passing vehicles, no plane noise, just peace and the chance to enjoy the pool, the quiet spots, take in the exotic and well thought out garden, (avoid the cactus though, they bite back!!). We spent nearly every night eating on the veranda, watching the incredible sunsets, in pure silence... The villa caters for all your needs, for the youngsters, excellent internet, great pool, loads of additional entertainment to suit. Easy to book, excellent communication, and thanks to Paul & Lizzie for what they do best. Try sitting by the pool looking out at the hills, and the flickering lights, just as the sun is setting, glass in hand, lost in your own thoughts.......priceless.

We absolutely love this villa and have stayed 4 years in a row! If you appreciate beautiful countryside in a slightly remote area then this villa is for you. The views both to the mountains one way and the sea the other way are breathtaking and if you take one of the villa's recommended walks the views just get better. We love this location although the drive up from the main road can appear a little hairy at first! The villa is the best equipped property we have ever stayed at and the agents and owners keep it very clean and well maintained. The neighbours are very friendly and we have shared a few beers with them one evening too ! The pool area is really nice with plenty of loungers and umbrellas. There is also a roof top bathing area which is private and secluded. The closest beaches are Burriana and Torrox which are both about 15-20 minutes drive. I can't recommend this villa and area highly enough !

Just like to say we had a great time, the 2 weeks passed so quickly. Lovely pool area, with plenty of sunbeds & a couple of big parasols. The kitchen has all you could need (large saucepan would be a good addition) with plenty of cutlery & plates/bowls. The lounge/dining area are very nice & on the 1 day that Morocco sent some hot wind over, it was great to be able to stay cool. Lots of things to see & do in the area & a visit to benajarafe for the best fish restaurants I have been in, set right on the beach front. Only word of wanring would be the same as some of the other reviews & that is that if you are a nervous driver, the 1st time up the track can be daunting, but after that it seems fine. Casa Joya is a lovely place to truly relax and recharge your batteries. Only 5 minutes from the quaint village of Torrox Pueblo and you are in a haven of tranquility. I stayed here with my elderly mum who although not wheelchair bound has severe walking disabilities. Casa Joya provided all and more of the best facilities I have come across in Spain. 10 minutes from the coast and 20 minutes from the lively resort of Nerja, if you want a lovely relaxing holiday with breathtaking views of both the sea and the mountains, then why look anywhere else.
