Bowers Chalet knows the taste

1. Stupendous location. Neither noise nor air pollution. The most impressive aspect that I experienced was the Chirping of birds woke me to see the Vibrant Sunrise- Trust me, I had switched off my alarm and yet woke up just predawn. 2. Will never forget Bala, Wilson, and Nithya. Awesome Teamwork. 3. Internet signal - fair. WIFI- Not needed. 4. Food- Impeccable. (Non Veg folks please excuse me- I have no idea) Needed Improvements : 1. Please ensure to instruct your staff to take the guests for a brief tour of the room (What is where). I had to call Bala every time asking for details. 2. The electric sockets were having problems 3. It is always a good practice to paste the Rules to be followed. 4. Having EPABX- will save time for all.

Honestly, I did not like to go back to my home after experiencing Bowers Chalet. Except for improvements- This Chalet knows the Customer's taste

Disappointed...

Though remote and far away from the city centre, this place has its own calmness and unique apeal. If you are in for luxury, this is not the place for you.

Room tarrif and quality does not match. Rooms worth ₹1300 was hiked to ₹4000

Pleasant

The location is very a good and the staff Balan was amazing, always there to support. Breakfast and Dinner were great.

The toilet wasn’t cleaned as we expected. Need to improve the cleanliness.

Our trip was a marvelous one like a fine wine. But this hotel just urinated in our glass of wine.

The stay was a total disaster apart from the Location and food.

Many things were wrong with this property apart from Location. I will list out a few and I’ll describe our experience below. 1. Geezer wasn’t working properly. 2. There were no Lights in our room!!!! 3. No wifi, No bath towels were provided, no mirrors inside room (one is there in bathroom and the bathroom is SMALL!!!) even drinking water came after we told them to bring. 4. Most deceptive thing about this property is two different rooms were separated by a door!!! So to hell with privacy and noice cancellation. 5. Their deceptive description says many things like a balcony, garden view, mountain view etc, only mountain view is true. 6. Washroom is pretty small and not very clean or modern. 7. Blankets and bedsheets were not washed for sure, they used perfume to make it fresh. 8. There was a TV, but no remotes were there. Even though if there’s any remote since we don’t have wifi there, it’s pretty useless. To be honest I don’t really care about the wifi or TV part. If everything else was good then we would have loved this stay. So here’s our experience: As we’re going to a hill station with colder temperatures, geezers are a must. I asked before checking in about the geezer and they told they have geezers, but the water from geezer would take almost an hour to fill a bucket, and then again the water would become freezing cold. We reached in the morning and had to take bath in cold water as we didn’t have time for geezer to fill the bucket. Luckily we carried our own bath towels, they didn’t provide any. We came back to our room at night, we were soaked in rainwater. We had informed them about the geezer. All we wanted was a good hot shower and to relax. But it turned out to be the worst night we have ever spent in a tourist place. When we entered our room there was no light in our room. We complained to the caretaker. He came inside our room and checked, he couldn’t fix anything. He tried different bulbs in different bulb holders.

Disappointing

The location is great.

The rooms and bathrooms were smelly. There was moisture all over the walls. The rooms are just ok. Food is very average.

Thumbs up to Bowers Chalet

The Location was awesome. They have made their Chalets on the edge of the peak from where you can see some of the villages down. Early morning the birds and Peacock singing is a great experience. Overall the service of the staff was prompt and professional especially Mr. Ganesh.

Superb

Everything about the place was good. It is located a bit away from Ooty main city but that what makes it special. It is surrounded by mountains and greenery. The staff was super hospitable. Mr.Balaji was always there to help us. The food was great. The premises as well as the room was kept clean. I would recommend this place and might visit again!

Value for money

The location was pretty good. The staff were very helpful especially Ganesh. Overall value for money.

As we went during rush hour season we had to take another road which took us 30 minutes more. So nothing faulty on the hotel part but thought of mentioning.

HORRIBLE

There wasnt anything to like, horrible place.

Horrible pathetic services, the room was stinking, dust everywhere. Wifi wasn't working, and only 2-3 Tamil channels on TV., no Hindi-English channels. We ordered food there, dishes weren't clean, you see dust and all on the plates. Since it was too cold, we asked for a bonfire. They said the woods got wet due to rain and gave wet woods and charged 500 extra. We asked for room heater, provided some old heaters and one hitter stopped working at the night. Still they charged 600 rs for the heater. All they cared about is Money. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE. ITS HORRIBLE. DONT GO BY PICS, YOU WONT FIND ANYTHING LIKE PICS THERE.

services, there weren’t any towels provided for the guests given that the cold climate wouldn’t suffice to dry any linen the guests bring during two to three days stay and no toiletries were given. the cost of the food there was very expensive.

Amazing Location but need to improve on Food.

The location is amazing. The staff - Eshwar and Vignesh were very supportive and all the works allotted were done within time.

The food taste was not upto the mark. Seemed like the Chef was new and did not know how to prepare basic items.

Awesome Place to stay

Mountain View is awesome...staffs are very polite...rooms are good...food quality is amazing...no restaurants nearby...it's a remote location....if anyone wants to stay away from town, this is the best place to stay...
