About this house rental
Clean and comfortable home right in the middle of Sunriver. Lots of light, steps to the walking and bike paths and a short walk to Fort Rock Park. Master bedroom downstairs with a king bed, 3 bedrooms upstairs with bunk beds and two twin beds. Hot tub, BBQ and a full kitchen with everything you need to make your stay great! The home is vintage, as the title states and is not one of the 'fancy' Sunriver homes, and our reasonable rates reflect that. Please note that the 4th bedroom is our kids 'secret room' and is accessed via a child-sized door (adults can access by ducking through it, which is fun!)

The house was a nice size. My son enjoyed his hidden large room and hobbit door entry.The grill igniter didn't work and my boyfriend had to light it by hand. Also it was difficult to see when cooking on the grill at night because the backpack light is very dim. The hot tub was low on water but I couldn't locate a hose to add more and only 2 jets are working. The upstairs tv did not have an hdmi port to connect anything modern . The stove didn't heat up our frozen pie after 3 tries and the Fridge was very small. The guest book is completely full so we couldn't write a review in it. Lastly the lights over the table in the dining room are not properly wired in and it took a while to figure out they need to be plugged into 2 separate extensions cords. With some updates and outdoor lighting it could be a nice property đź‘Ś

This was a really nice place. Some of the other reviews suggest that the furnishings are a little bit old, and that's true. But everything works just fine, and the house is really nicely laid out, with afternoon sunlight pouring through the windows of the kitchen and living rooms. We didn't spend much time on the deck (other than to use the hot tub), but it looked as if it would be a pleasant place to hang out in the summer. The layout on the top floor is very strange, with a tiny door that you need to crawl through to access the third bedroom (two twin beds and a full sized mattress on the floor). This was great fun for our kids, though it would be a bit of a pain for an adult who wanted to sleep there. The house is half a mile from Fort Rock Park and a mile from the Deschutes.

This was a really nice place. Some of the other reviews suggest that the furnishings are a little bit old, and that's true. But everything works just fine, and the house is really nicely laid out, with afternoon sunlight pouring through the windows of the kitchen and living rooms. We didn't spend much time on the deck (other than to use the hot tub), but it looked as if it would be a pleasant place to hang out in the summer. We had a great time staying at this house for our little Sunriver getaway. The owner provided easy-to-follow instructions to get to the rental and get in. The home layout was unique. We all enjoyed the “secret” room! There was plenty of space for at least 8 people (we only had 5, so it was extra spacey). The hot tub was a hit. It was nice to have a smart TV with Netflix. The location was great! I’d give a bonus star if there were foam mattress toppers and shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers (my girls forgot theirs). Looking forward to staying here again.

spent a lovely week at the cabin, with 4 adults and 2 kids ages 10 and 7. the house totally met our needs, and the owner was very responsive to any questions we had. the quiet and scenic location added even more to the winter weather!

The house could use some serious updating. Some basic maintenance could make the house more comfortable. Many electrical outlets were either not working or lamps do not stay plugged in. There seems to be some lights over the table that do not follow code. Also, lights were so dim we had a hard time reading in the evening. Shower curtain is torn upstairs and the light seems to be broken. Faucets are loose. Holes in bathroom towels. Upstairs TV did not seem to work. Windows let in cold air. With basic maintenance this house could be very cozy.

The owner was mortified, apologized profusely and the kicker was that the charge for our whole stay was refunded. This was certainly unexpected but appreciated. 5 stars for everything.

Fun house for families!
We had a lovely time staying in this home. Our group included my parents, my brother, and our combined 4 children (ages 6 to 12). The kids loved sneaking into the kids room through the tiny door, watching VHS movies on the TV, and keeping a couple of snacks in the mini fridge. The home isn't fancy, but it's functional and fun. We loved playing the games and serving breakfast for the kids at the counter. The hot tub was well used!
The only two small suggestions I would make are that it would be great to have a few more chairs for the dining room table, and the temperature in the upstairs shower can be a little unpredictable, which was hard giving kids showers (when it would change from cold to hot and back).
Otherwise, we loved staying in this house and would do it again. Thank you for sharing your home!! Close and accessible to everything you'd want to do in central Oregon. :)

Good place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay in this Sunriver home. The home is older and has not been remodeled or updated, but that did not put a damper on our stay. The house was clean and had nice linens and towels. The kitchen had utensils, cookware, and nice dishes to use. The hot tub was great, as were the bikes available. We were mostly comfortable here, the only downside was the temperature of the house. It was a beautiful 80 degree day when we arrived and living room/kitchen area was a sauna! Would suggest a better way to keep the temperature inside consistent and comfortable. Some blinds in those rooms would have been helpful. Otherwise, everything was good for us!
