We enjoyed our stay the home was nice and well furnished. The things that could be better is the pots and pans. They’re were terrible and half the lights didn’t work. Lots of switches that didn’t do anything. Could use an electrician to go through tue house and make sure all the lights worked. It’s a dark house so that’d help.

The location is good. However, for the cost of this home it was surprisingly in poor condition and extremely dirty and dusty. Layers of dust and burned out light bulbs. Leaky bathrooms and sewer odor. The furnishings are severly used,,,,broken toaster, scratched barely useable pots & pans, numberous burned out light bulbs, and stained very old pillows and bedding. The grounds are neglected with weeds and garbage in planters. The lawn and firepit were nice. The BBQ grill appears to be on its last leg as well as the ripped screen door that didn't keep bugs out. It is a bit shocking to spend over $3700 for six nights and pay high cleaning fees for a place where the windows are so dirty that it obscured the view of the lake and so dusty that it affected the health of several family members. Some TLC is needed for this vacation rental. We have rented several places through Vacassa and this is the first time we were quite disappointed.

Nice place, beautiful sunrises off the lake. Hot tub was great to have. Wish we had hot water in the home for our showers though. When we mentioned no hot water I received a text that said you can leave and we won’t charge for the unused nights. How about another offer like “we’ve refunded a portion due to no hot water in the home” Besides that it would have been perfect.

This house had some very definite pros and cons. The location and view were great! The overall layout of the home was also good and we loved the view through the windows. As for the not so good.... the hot tub needs to be cleaned. There's a yellow stain at the water line, and a weird smell when you lift the top of it. The outdoor lights also don't work, and we checked every switch in the house. After calling 3 times to report it (and slipping down a couple of stairs one night because I couldn't see anything), we were told that someone would be out to change the bulbs - which never happened. It's a definite safety issue. Finally, there's an issue with the bar top on the kitchen counter. There wasn't anything holding it up, so if you put too much weight on it, it slips. Did we have a good time? Yes. But between the safety concerns, and not being able to use one of the amenities, we would probably look for another property in the area for our next visit.

Based on the cost of this rental per night, I had great expectations. Overall, if you plan to stay here, lower your expectations. The inside of the home was clean and had plenty of space so our family did not feel crowded. The hot tub was clean (had an odor to it but unsure if that is their chosen chlorination but was not visibly dirty) and maintained the perfect temperature and during the day had a fantastic view of the lake. The location of the home was secluded but close enough of a drive into the heart of town to enjoy the best of both worlds. We had quite a few minor/major issues during our stay that made it overall disappointing. The major issue was that the outdoor lights did not work. Upon contacting Vacasa, they informed us that the outdoor lights had not been working for a few weeks and the contractor was busy, so they would not be fixed during our stay. With the sun setting by 630pm, this limited our time to use the hot tub without flashlights or we sat there in complete darkness. Just unacceptable that this was not communicated to us. Another negative was the fact that their DISH satellite was not in working order, providing an error code and making the tv worthless. For a rainy day indoors, it would have been nice to be able to watch the baseball games. Internet is spotty as other reviewers have mentioned, which wasn't a big deal for us but inconvenient with the tv being down as well. Maintenance of the property overall was significantly lacking. A counter in the kitchen is held up by two mugs and falling off the wall. Lightbulbs were either burnt out or continued with the "lighting having issues" problem. The instructions are now framed in the kitchen but very basic and it would be nice to have a manual with some tips/tricks for their property. For example, the heat did not keep up in the common living space but after searching the home, we found a space heater that made it more comfortable - would have been nice to know where they were located. We chose not to build a fire with the indoor fireplace as soot has accumulated above the mantle and based on the upkeep of the home in general, we did not trust the fireplace to have been properly maintained. Overall, the property is an amazing build with charm - but for a rental property, it is showing signs of neglect. Months ago, reviews mentioned the microwave display not working - it still does not work. The toaster handle is broken, requiring you to unplug it and dig your toast out with a utensil. The cookware is greatly worn by the gas range. The shower head that is attached to the bathtub leaks making it unusable. One of the bedside tables is in pieces with nails missing and greatly unstable. The dishwasher is not stabilized (that's putting it nicely). To conclude, pictures will show you that this property looks nice and has charm/unique features, but is significantly lacking. With an ounce of updating, actual CARE and proper maintenance, this property would be 5 stars.

Our family had a fantastic week at this home. The cabin was the perfect size for six adults and two children. The kids loved their room - the bunk beds were a big hit! The bedrooms and the living spaces were huge so we never felt on top of each other. The private dock and the backyard were terrific. We had a jetski rental and a boat rental for the week so direct access to the lake was convenient. The one drawback of this home: the WiFi was bad. I know we were warned about the internet speed beforehand, but I could barely get my emails to load let alone log onto video meetings. This forced me and another member of my party to drive into town for a few hours during the week to complete some work we had to attend to. (Evans Brothers Coffee was a great hangout for this!) I strongly recommend to the owners that they upgrade their internet package or look into some sort of signal booster to improve connectivity.
