it was close to the old town

we were not welcomed in person. we had communicated arrival by bike but were sent directions to the car park. we had to bring bikes down steps as step free route was not given. we had to wait 30 minutes in the heat for the door code. there was nothing for breakfast but at 7.30 am we had a message to go to a local café. the local café was closed so we were asked to go to a neighbouring cafe who had not been contacted by the Rosa De Ernesto so we tried to explain…..

The location was great and it was spacious and clean

The sheets on the bed were really old and uncomfortable. There was old food in the fridge when we arrived. You could hear the noise from outside really clear and since there’s a bar just 5m from the apartment that was playing music until late we had some trouble sleeping. We never heard anything about breakfast either.

We arrived at night with no direction to parkings even if I asked for it beforehand. I accidentally got into a ZTL ZONE due to this. Rino was blocked in an accident but he never came by to see if we settled in ok or what time was breakfast or how things work!!! even the next morning when he came to drop the breakfast, he didn’t show us anything. The breakfast - It’s mentioned in the booking that breakfast is included. well, the first day I texted Rino for the breakfast. He told us he’ll bring 2 cappuccinos and 2 croissants (first of all, that’s just a simple “breakfast”, not what we read from the reviews). we only got a tea and a cappuccino, due to a miscommunication. 2nd day, no breakfast at all. 3rd day (and apparently we were not even meant to get breakfast on checkout which was not mentioned anywhere). Rino said he’ll bring breakfast since we didn’t receive any on the 2nd. surprise surprise, we only got a tea, a cappuccino and 1 croissant to share . lol the bathroom, it’s small but does the job. there’s no bath mat so water was going everywhere. we had to put a towel down to avoid the water from spilling all over the bathroom floor! i requested a hand wash because the one left was pretty much empty, but unfortunately didn’t get one!

Good location, good aircon

WiFi didn’t work for 3 days. Very noisy with live music until 00.30 on the doorstep, literally 2 meter distance. You better like Amy Winehouse. Never met the host although she lives in building. Very confusing Italian messages re a shuttle from the apartment to the station. Be prepared for walking with your bags.

the property is in a fantastic location - right in the middle of the old town. the decor inside is in gorgeous classic Puglia design and it was pretty well equipped. it was lovely and cool, and spacious too.

unfortunately the pub next door is very loud. i don’t know how you can fix this - better doors maybe? also the bed was very uncomfortable. It would have been nice if the hairdryer was already in the room, but it was delivered promptly. and maybe an iron & ironing board? loved that it had a washing mashing was there was no dryer, and nowhere to dry clothes so I couldn’t really use it.

Location was spot on and host was very communicative. Free parking is a close 10 minute walk down hill. Beware the property is located in the historic zone and you cannot drive to it. Also, to get close there are time restrictions on entry to some streets.

Beds were very firm and the bedrooms, better said bed alcoves, did not have doors. The one alcove had a very small single bed best for someone 1.7 meters (5.8 feet) or less. There is a disco 2 doors down that can be disturbing for some. Only light comes through the front door as there are no windows.

Best location for stay in Ostuni, close to everything. Kind and helpful host

The apartment was nice, clean and good sized. They left us pastry, yogurt, fruit, water and a bottle of wine. The owner sent us directions to a nearby parking lot and met us there. There was a 200m walk to the apartment.

It seemed that the mattress was lower in the middle the the side. We didn't try the other bed in the 2nd bedroom.

Breakfast consisted of croissants in plastic wrapping, some jam and yoghurt that you could take from the fridge. It was pretty cold in the room even if we turned the heater on.

The apartment was truly a delightful and comfortable space for our visit to beautiful Ostuni. The “casetta” was clean, roomy enough for three friends, and graciously stocked with fruit, bottled water and a welcoming bottle of wine. The shower was clean and also conveniently stocked with shampoo, conditioner and soap. Plenty of clean towels were also provided. Our host’s father, Francesco, was very helpful in getting us settled in and showing us the nearby free street parking. The location in the centro storico is excellent - on a small side street close to restaurants and a pub, but not too close to the main thoroughfares.

I believe this is more about booking.com than the lodging -- emails to and from the host are not threaded. Instead, each communication is a separate email, making it difficult to sort through several emails to retrieve some of the more important or relevant instructions.
