The exterior of the house was pleasant looking and was located on a quiet side street, with off-street parking for 4 vehicles. It was a very short drive to the beach. The hot tub was wonderful, it was in a covered area so it could be used even in the rain. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of counter space.

To start off, the property was listed via a listing agency as a 4 bedroom house and a confirmation email confirmed a 4 bedroom house booking and upon arrival, there were only 3 bedrooms. Also, shortly after arrival, the oven was turned on to bake a meal and within five minutes the fire alarm started ringing, luckily after waving a potholder in front of the alarm a few times it stopped. The property was a no-smoking property that had a caretaker's apartment adjoining the property via the laundry room and when a person went into the laundry room it had an overwhelming cigarette smoke odor, luckily there was a door to the room which was kept closed because of the smoke odor. Also, the gas fireplace wouldn't work even after following the directions multiple times. Lastly, the house could have had a better cleaning and is in need of a general interior update including the furniture. Finally, the yard both front and back needed some care.

Addressed a safety issue of the home. Requested a refund since I had to leave in the middle of the night. This rental property have not gotten back to me yet even after I called them. They knew about the safety issue yet rented out the house. As a female traveler, I value a place with safety. And this property management knew the door didn’t lock and as a safety measure used a wooden stick. How unprofessional. Will continue calling until I receive my refund.
