Nestled in Bonita Springs, this charming house for $341 per night is a great option for your next trip. Welcome to Flip Flops by the Sea. We are located on a short canal on the Imperial River with direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, Flip Flops by the Sea is the perfect place to bring your boat and enjoy the waterways of Southwest Florida or you can use the provided kayaks or paddle boards provided for your enjoyment. Imagine waking up in beautiful Southwest Florida with a view of the Imperial River. You prepare breakfast and go out to the screened in porch to enjoy the ocean breeze and wildlife that frequent the waterways of the Imperial River and Estero Bay. As as you drink you coffee, you can use the included wifi to decide on which golf course will start your day. After your morning golf outing, you have to decide how you will get to the beach for your afternoon relaxation. Since the beach is about a mile away, you can walk or bike or even paddle. But then again there is parking by the hour or day available too. As the sun sets over Gulf, you start thinking about dinner. Will you try one of the many local restaurants for some fresh seafood or would you prefer to use your full kitchen to create your own meal? When you get home you can enjoy cable and Internet in any room as you relax and prepare for whatever adventure may take place the next day whether it is kayaking the Imperial River, deep sea fishing, exploring the everglades or shopping your way from Naples to Matlacha. Flips Flops is a charming beach house on stilts near the beach. It was extremely clean and inviting. We enjoyed sitting on the extended terrace which was surrounded by green. We rode the available bikes to the beach. Just what we wanted.

We stayed at Flip Flops for 2 weeks whilst we completed on a property we have bought. We were captured by the charm of the property as soon as we walked in. We adored the reference to flip flops and being a beach house, and it felt just like that.
Rick was super responsive with any queries we had, not that we had any as everything was just about perfect.
The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need.
The bedrooms / beds are comfortable and nicely proportioned.
The lounge area is great to chill and watch tv.
The deck…like being in a treehouse. It was a beautiful place to relax. I especially enjoyed early morning with my coffee waiting for the sun to rise.
The Alexas around the house were brilliant! As were the phone charging pads next to the bed. This I thought were a genius idea as we always seem to forget phone chargers!
I don’t think I have ever seen such a well equipped property in terms of books, games, puzzles, SUP boards, kayaks, bikes, beach equipment. There is no way you could ever get bored here.
Overall a wonderful place to stay. It will certainly be a place we will recommend to our friends and if we hadn’t bought our holiday home then we would most certainly stay again. Many thanks for the use of your beautiful home.

I really loved this house, its location, and all of the "stuff" that is included. We used bikes a couple of times and kayaked every day. The house is fully stocked with all needed linens, towels, paper supplies, kitchen equipment, etc.
Rick is a pleasure to deal with. I would (and probably will) stay here again.

This was our second time staying at Flip Flops. We really enjoy kayaking on the Imperial River and the kayak lift gives you easy access to the river. The deck is a great outdoor space and the house was very comfortable for our family which included young children. Fun place to stay and great location
We stayed at the Flip Flop house for the month of February. We had a great time, riding the bikes to the beach and did some kayaking off the dock. It's a great setup to kayak. The house was a very nice size and comfortable, we had family and friends come and visit. Spent a lot of time enjoying the nice weather on the large outside deck.

Terrific property
We’re headed back next year, and we almost never book the same place twice. The house has open living areas, and a beautiful deck and porch that feel like you’re in a tree house. The yard is lush, and the boat lift proved to be a lovely place to watch wildlife—in our case bobcats, iguanas and massive fish. Everything is there that you could need in the kitchen AND in the bathrooms. Bath soap, aluminum foil, dish towels, first aid supplies, etc. Leave everything at home and replace what you use up. I am a little picky and will bring a couple of my own pots next year, and always bring my knives. 🤷🏻♀️
Communication with Rick was as great as everyone else has said. He was also very understanding when hubby walked through a screen. 😞. He rates as a 10 as a host.
We were disappointed not to be able to stay on Hickory Blvd this year for lack of availability, and wondered if we’d miss the beach access. To our surprise we much preferred having access to the bay and the Great Calusa Blueway right off the dock. There was only one day that we had a hard time finding a parking spot at the gulf so we drove to Dog Beach to watch all the fun. Barefoot Beach and Lovers Key are wonderful options as well. The mile +/- to the beach turned out to be a non-issue and the neighborhood was MUCH quieter than Hickory Blvd.

Bonita Beach hidden gem!
We loved our stay at the flip flop house! It is a beautiful house on a large lot. We felt like we were in a tropical location when we would sit out on the back porch which we did everyday! The house is very bright and the decor is awesome! There is always something new to look at. We would definitely rent the flip flop house again!

This was a beautiful, clean, and well kept property! All. Immunization was immediate and professional al. We had a wonderful time and already looked at rebooking for this time next year, just to find it was already booked. Loved our stay at this wonderful home. The location is perfect - from the beaches, our favorite restaurants, it is fully equipped with everything we needed, and is very quiet. We had family coming and going during the 35 days we rented in March 2021, everyone had enough space, and we all really enjoyed everything about the house. The owners were very responsive when we texted about various things, and extremely helpful. (The only thing I would add to the house is (even a small) in-ground pool - our weather was nice and hot, and we could have used a dip! If they added this, I might never leave!) Would definitely stay here again!

Great personal communication from owner with tips and suggestions. So many fun things to do: bike rides, kayaking, games, puzzles. Lots of seating for eating, games, and conversation. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Loved the decorations/lights inside and out. Well stocked kitchen. Short bike ride to the grocery store 😊.

Cute house on the water
We stayed 4 nights - my husband, myself and our 16 year old son. The house is very cute with flip flop theme throughout, and it is very well stocked with anything you might need. We really appreciated the kayaks and bikes, which we used every day! The owner is also super responsive and answered all of my questions very quickly and patiently. A great little getaway.

The property is beautiful and very spacious. Our family made great memories during our stay; fishing, bicycling to the beach, dolphins at the beach, making s’mores, and so much more. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful home and in a great location
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this flip flop home. The house was clean and had so many things available for our use. It is exactly what you see in the pictures. It’s located in a really nice area of the neighborhood and so close to the beach. My family did not wanna leave. Wish we could have stayed longer. We don’t get to take many family trips but this one was truly a memorable experience. Thank you Rick for the providing such cozy place.

Great family friendly house by the beach
Very clean, spacious, and well-stocked house. Perfect for large groups and families with small children. The house had everything we needed. 5 minute drive to two beautiful beaches. We also enjoyed kayaking from the backyard dock. Large yard for the kids to play. Only downside is the many mosquitos outside in the yard area, but that’s Florida living and we are used to it - just don’t forget bug spray. We had a great experience here.

Perfect Place GREAT Time
We had a wonderful stay at The Flip Flops house!
We were there for almost 3 months - ended up leaving a week early because of COVID-19 and thought we better get back to MI.
This place looks just like the pictures! All the slider doors open up to a screened in porch, then you can open all the screens to the very large deck and have a all open place into the living room!
It's about 1.5 miles the beach & about 1 mile to Publix. There are places to eat all around (Love The Fish House) you can walk or bike to. Beautiful Barefoot Beach is about 4 miles and great to ride your bike to. It's a perfect place to be because you are so close to everything - but all that traffic is not near, the house is very private, and you can kayak all over.
COVID-19 came close to the middle of our stay, which meant restaurants shut down & the beach closed and no family members could come down to see us as we had planned. We made a point to go kayaking every day, we saw matinees, dolphins, jumping fish, an alligator, iguana's and tons of birds... They also have a great supplies of games there.
We missed out on what it "could" have been - but still had an amazing time.
Look forward to coming back again and being able to share with our family! You CAN NOT GO WRONG coming here!

Loved our family vacation here!
Owner was extremely responsive and House is in a nice neighborhood, close to beach , wonderfully maintained, great landscaping, large modern, comfortable deck and furnishing , lots of equipment for an active southwest Florida vacation. Very nice bikes with helmets, locks, etc; beach equipment, kayaks, outdoor grill, blender, etc. Lots of little touches , too, like multiple phone chargers and an Alexa we used to play music. We had a wonderful week enjoying the Florida sunshine with our college age kids before they went back to school. You can’t go wrong with this rental. It has everything!

Better than 5* Resorts
This has been best stay ever. We have been in Sunnyvale & Captive Island last year at a luxury vacation rental and this was way much better. Definitely worth the money as it is very clean, comfortable and it has a beautiful decor. You won’t need anything else to have fun :) We highly recommend this place !
