Welcome to the Timber Creek Cabin A large living/dining area with vaulted, cedar ceiling and a rock-faced, wood-burning fireplace welcomes you as you enter this beautiful cabin. The open floor plan also includes a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with plenty of room for family-style cooking. There are 2 bedrooms w/ queen beds and bathroom w/ walk-in shower. the main floor is Handicap friendly. Climb the stairs to the comfortable loft overlooking the living area, This floor also has 2 bedrooms w/queen beds, a sofa pull-out, and bathroom. Make your way down to the lower level and enjoy the Family /Game room. Local TV only, DVD player. A wet bar with full refrigerator and sink is also located downstairs for your convenience, and a gas fireplace helps take the chill off our cool evenings. There are 2 bedrooms w/queen beds + 1 twin bunk, a sofa sleeper, bathroom, and laundry room coin operated washer & dryer. Walk out onto the Deck from the main floor. There's plenty of outdoor seating, a gas grill and Hot Tub. (Hot Tubs are not available during the months of January & February). The yard includes a campfire ring w/ seating and plenty of room for outdoor fun and games. Disclaimer: Cell phone & Wi-Fi reception is very limited. We had a group of 15, kids, young adults and seniors. Everyone had a wonderful time. The cabin is so comfortable. No one ever felt crowed even with that size of group. Anyone looking for a cabin for a large group summer or winter we highly recommend the Timber Creek Cabin. Last but not least, Matthew was a wonderful host who made us feel at home.

We really enjoyed staying in this house in the central Black Hills. It’s close to Hill City and gave us easy access to all the attractions the Black Hills has to offer. The house is spacious and well equipped!

Everything from start to finish was just right. Communications with the host, Matthew, was very efficient and easy. Matthew greeted us on arrival and checked with us daily to see if we required anything. He was very friendly and eager to make our stay comfortable. The house is in a good location with access to Hill City and all the outdoor things we came to do such as having good trail access for our UTV’s. The house was comfortable and as advertised. Parking was good for our three trucks and trailers. Overall, a great host, property and experience.

There were plenty of beds and towels to accomodate our group. Close enough to Mt Rushmore & Custer State Park, but far enough from all the tourists. Quiet and serene. Loved the horses.

Very nice house with plenty of room for our party of 18. Nice setting just out of Hill City. Easy to get to town, attractions, etc. We would definitely recommend.

We were able to get in early. The house was beautiful and the location was great for what we wanted to do, Needles!!!
Matt was very friendly and attentive to our minimal needs. Would definitely try to book this house again for our next Sturgis rally

A great cabin centrally located near Custer state park and Mt. Rushmore. The property was top notch and the property management was friendly and very responsive. We look forward to going back soon.

Absolutely would stay here again; perfect location, wonderful management, spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, comfortable beds, hot tub excellent for soaking after all the activities available in the region. I highly, highly recommend this property

We enjoyed the hot tub and views! There was tons of space to enjoy. We used the kitchen to make dinner each evening and I loved everything in the kitchen. It was too cold but the outdoor area would of been fun for a campfire! It was close to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Wildlife, Good Shopping, and Little market to buy groceries. We enjoyed our mini getaway here.

This was a great property located in the Southern Hills. It was clean, the kitchen has just about any item to cook with that you could think of and the property manager was wonderful to work with. It was our second time staying at this property and we will be back again. Thank you!!

We had the best time staying in the lodge with our mom, our five children, and a couple of neighbor friends (10 people) all here to celebrate our daughter's wedding. The lower level was perfect for the teens. They loved having their own space at night to hang out. We utilized the large kitchen and kitchenette in preparation for the wedding. Having three bathrooms was great when everyone needed to prepare for the day. We all loved the hot tub and fire pit. There was plenty of space for all of us at all times. This was a beautiful lodge, and it was a lovely time of year to visit.

This is actually the second time we have stayed at this property. We enjoyed it so much the first time and we didn’t want to risk a new property and regretting a decision to try something new. Larry was extremely communicative and the property itself is nestled into the woods with so much within a reasonable driving distance - it’s the perfect balance. We enjoyed Deerfield Lake nearby, the hills/forest next to the property, and the trails nearby as well. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and all we needed to cook a good meal for a big crowd. We would absolutely choose to stay here again.

This was a perfect place to stay for our extended family vacation in the Black Hills! Rental was very clean inside and out. Host was very attentive and responded immediately to our few questions. The young kids enjoyed the little playhouse under the deck and the open yard to play in. We all loved exploring the forest right across the road. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Family Lodge
We had a great experience at the lodge. It was super convenient being located just outside Hill City. Lots of room for the 13 of us that stayed here. The owners were very friendly and stayed in touch during our stay to make sure everything was going well. Thank you!

Two adult leaders brought our church youth group out, and we loved having the flexibility of making breakfast and lunch for the group and not having to eat out all the time. It was also a great place to do our nightly devotions. Our stay was wonderful! We would highly recommend this cabin.

We had my parents, my brother's family, and my family at this location. The kids LOVED sledding down the hill in the yard, and we adults enjoyed the hot tub! Well stocked kitchen, the beds were great, and the place was so clean and well put together! Very easy to get to, but still quiet and private!

We gathered for an early Christmas and had so much fun! Plenty of space for everyone (we had 14). The hot tub was a hit and so was sledding across the road from the house. We already have discussed potential future stays! You won’t be disappointed in this house or surrounding area!
