My wife and I stayed at the cottage with my Brother and his wife, 4 kids in total along as well (8 total people). With the kids doubling up rooms there were just the right amount of beds and the space was great for spending time together and enjoying ourselves. Nice quiet area not too far from some easy going local attractions. Enjoyed the time we got to spend here and sad it had to end.

This home truly represents Vermont and Phyllis is a gracious host. This is our GO TO house on VRBO and feels like home when we walk
in the door . Clean , comfortable and perfect !

Lovely, spacious home. Multigenerational comfortable. Central fireplace was perfect for a Vermont cold snap. It gathers people together. The kitchen is super equipped. We could cook anything there. The owner is very informative and available. We had a great time. Thanks to the owners of this beautiful haven.

Overall, our stay was pretty good. I admittedly was going to give 3 stars, but I decided to give 4 stars because Phyllis allowed us a late checkout since the cleaners were coming the next day. With 3 children under 3 yrs old that was massively helpful. Overall, I certainly think this could be a true 4 star place or even 5 if certain things were addressed. See highlights below:
Good
-Overall house and living space
-Full kitchen
-Great location (~15 min from Mt Snow)
Opportunities for improvement
-Communication was the biggest challenge. Asked 3 times in initial outreach if only thing we needed to bring was sheets and towels. Received incorrect pricing on liability waiver (~50% higher than posted price). Wifi wasn't working because the password was wrong. Host finally called back 4 times after 10pm while babies were sleeping
-WAY too much documentation, much of it redundant- received 7 documents in the first email after we got confirmed for our booking, which included a surprise liability waiver w/ a security deposit line (surprised that things are not insured under VRBO) that requested names and phone numbers of everyone staying. We were told it was a requirement of the community, but wasn't stated upfront (causes some discomfort when you don't have that context). One of the docs was also about avoiding extra charges (causes anxiety right out of the gates before even entering the property)
-High maintenance (must turn on water, bring sheets/towels, no onsite recycling, etc)

This home had plenty of space for our family of 5 to stay and enjoy the winter landscape, cozy fires and home cooked meals after our days on the ski slopes. Phyllis provided detailed information prior to our arrival and was accessible and communicative during our stay.

Amazing stay with family & friends! The location is perfect. It snowed so much, and we had the fireplace going for most of our stay. Couldn't ask for a better VT experience.

We love this vintage A-Frame! It’s got everything you need to relax. Big well equipped kitchen, awesome 4-sided open fireplace, comfy beds. And the perfect walk through beautiful woods to the lake. Two great decks. Peace, quiet, and stars at night.

We enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor spaces in this memorable A-frame. The location was perfect for us to explore the Wilmington area, hike, pick up excellent coffee and visit a distillery. Since it is late in the season we didn't get to enjoy the lake, but we'll be back in the summer to kayak.

This was a wonderful, comfortable house for 3 adults and 4 kids under 7. There were enough bedroom options for everyone to sleep comfortably. The decks were wonderful places to play for the kids. We enjoyed walking down to the dock for swimming and canoeing, and drove to the other beach for a great swim day too! This was an excellent place for our vacation!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very comfortable, in a quiet residential area surrounded by trees. The kitchen is fully stocked, the decks very inviting. We perfected the interior circular stairs. The brief walk to the lake is a delightful trek through the woods, and swimming is easily accessible. Note that the kayaks have to be brought down from the house. Phyllis, the owner, is enthusiastically helpful to answer any questions, and she provides extensive local area information.

We all had a great time staying here. The house was beautiful and the fireplace was great for relaxing after a day on the slopes. The house is less than 20 minutes from mount snow which is perfect for a ski trip. Phyllis was great and the directions for using the house were very clear. We would definitely stay here again.

Phyllis was such an incredible host from the moment we booked, sending valuable information on how to care for her adorable home and being communicative yet understanding the whole way through the process from reservation to check-out. The place worked perfectly for me, my fiancé and our 6 friends. The space is so relaxing, with trees and privacy all around. The town is also super cute and highly recommend the hike to the fire tower nearby, but we all loved just hanging out by the fire so much we barely wanted to leave even to ski Mt. Snow (only 18 mins drive). Wifi worked decently well, and kitchen is well appointed. Loved the classic style, shag rugs, and spiral stairs. Rustic, down-to-earth yet everything you need to feel at home. She even has sleds and games for guests to play. 100% would stay again.

I organized a trip for a family reunion to do some skiing in the area (Ages range from 21-36). Mt. Snow was about 20 minutes away and Stratton was about 45 minutes. Check in process was extremely easy and the directions were thorough. Phyllis maintained open lines of communication and was very easy to get in touch with. The house was clean and was the perfect accommodation for my trip. Only 1 hiccup during the trip when we ran out of oil to heat the house. Phyllis was very attentive to this issue and the problem was swiftly resolved within a couple of hours. All in all It was a great stay and I would recommend this place to anyone

We stayed for our annual Christmas ski trip. The house is about 20 mins away from Mount Snow. Convenient and spacious. The kids love the big fire place. We toasted marshmallows on a rainy night. Communication with the host was smooth and promptly responded. Excellent stay!

This was a great location and a fun house. The house is wonderful with an amazing fireplace and a great deck as well as HUGE "mud room" on the first floor which was great for all our ski boots and winter jackets.
It's a short drive to Mt Snow and 40 minutes to Berkshire East. Lots of stores and shops nearby if needed. The lake is close and the walking trails aroudn the house were great.
We enjoyed the warm bedrooms and the chance to have a fire, watch some family movies and make big meals in teh kitchen.
