Welcome to our Princeville home on the north shore of Kauai. The Plantation at Princeville is an upscale condominium complex with all the amenities you could ever desire including a pool and exercise room. Our home is on the corner lot giving you the most privacy of any unit in the complex. You don’t have to look at your neighbors at all; instead, you have unbeatable views of the Hanalei Wildlife National Reserve, cascading waterfalls from freshly fallen rain showers, and the world-class golf course across the street from the community. Come to our condo to experience the breathtaking beauty of natural rainforests and the fabulous beaches of Hanalei Bay. The high ceiling and the light colors give this home a truly airy ambiance. The beautiful home features a California King in the primary bedroom and two Full-Size beds in the second bedroom. The primary en suite bath is huge and features an oversized oval tub. The second bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Our kitchen is fully equipped with all the utensils you will need for a quick snack or a gourmet dinner - whatever suits your fancy. There is so much to see, do, and experience in this home away from home. *We welcome singles, couples, families, and friends alike. Please note that interiors are not child-proof and there are glass table tops, glass sliders, no child safety locks on cupboards, and some sharp corners on furniture. Please carefully consider if our home is suitable for your family if you have young children. **Air conditioning is only in the primary bedroom and living room. **Unit is a corner unit near the intersection of the main Ka Haku Road and Pepelani Loop. It may not be suitable for those sensitive to road noise. The property offered everything that we needed for our stay. Lots of amenities offered. Comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen ware. Property could use some work...dishwasher soap tray doesn't latch, pillows are flat, supplies offered aren't as described so extra things were bought that weren't necessarily needed. Main grocery is in Lihue, so plan to purchase ahead of arrival at property could result in unnecessary supplies.

I would suggest changing out your dishwasher, or at least clean the filter. It smelled pretty bad and made the dishes smell so bad we had to wash by hand. The A/C was nice, but loud. Otherwise, very spacious and comfortable.

The guest room is very warm, no A/C in there and the beds are not very good. Otherwise a really good visit

Awesome overall stay. Super well located to many attractions and eateries on the north shore. Spacious and clean. A/C worked fine to cool the whole place. Some people complain about the car noise. Yes, there is some noise but it is not that big a deal. And it fades at night and was not an issue with our 2 and 5 year olds' ability to sleep. We would stay again for sure!

Beautiful property, privacy feel in a condo, having the garage makes everything easier, master bathroom was incredible, wish the AC could go slightly lower, they have locked to not go below 74, other than that, would definitely recommend this place for a couple or small family, washer and dryer are new front loaders.

Vey nice property with lots of extra kitchen appliances. Roomy. But the NOISE! Constant traffic noise from being located just a few feet from busy intersection. Patio is unuasable due to noise. Can't open windows due to noise. A/C only cools living room and one bedroom. Other bedroom is uncooled.

Very nice property with many kitchen appliances such as coffee grinder, rice cooker, toaster oven, etc. HOWEVER, property location on corner of busy streets ruins the entire visit. Very loud traffic noise from cars starting up from stop sign just a few feet from bedrooms and patio. No windows can be open due to this traffic noise. You can't enjoy the patio. Must use a/c all the time in warm weather. I feel sorry for the owners with property on this busy street corner. I would never rent this property again. If it was moved away from the corner, it would be a great place to stay. Very comfortable. Nice features. But not now.

We had a wonderful time very spacious place we found front door unlocked when we arrive we found smoke alarm in master bedroom with no battery in it nice barbecue area nice pool and hot tub area other guests were friendly rug under dining room table was trip hazard blinds needed to be repaired in dining room and living room area

The property at Princeville was all but perfect. The rooms were spacious clean and well maintained. This easily sleeps four. Kitchen was well appointed. The neighborhood was safe and the availability of the garage made stowing the car away easy and safe. Beds were comfortable and the location was good. It was far from thr commercial district of Kauai which for us was perfoect. It was 3 minutes to Hanalea and about 30 to Kapaa. The pool and sauna were welcome after a day of walking around and hiking etc. Quite pleased. There was a supermarket 10 minutes away which made provisioning easy. No real complaints.

Condo very spacious with two double beds in second bedroom. No air conditioning in there and even in the winter months it gets very hot in that bedroom even with the door open to living room and fans on. Air conditioning is locked to go no lower than 72 degrees. Unit is on first floor and there is a condo above you and beside you. There is a one car garage which was very nice, but one morning we got up to leave and a crane was in the driveway blocking our exit. I yelled up to the roofers that had been there since 7am, which I was not informed ahead of time they would be there the entire time of my stay. The head guy said we should have known they would be there and the property owners knew not to park in the garage. I told him we were renting for the week. He said the owners should have told us. After some more back and forth, he agreed to move the crane so we could get our car out when they went on break in 15 minutes. Plenty of towels for our short stay along with coolers, rafts, sand toys, beach chairs, etc. Would definitely stay there again except for the drive being VERY FAR to most attractions. Waimea Canyon is 2 hr away and Poipu Beach is over an hour away.

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay for a week over New Years. The unit is well appointed and very comfortable. One thing to note: it is close by a somewhat busy road, so we were woken up a couple of times by a loud truck or two roaring by early in the morning. Not a showstopper, but a minor annoyance. We would certainly rent again on our next trip to Kauai!

Very clean, spacious, located next to golf course convenient to town and Hanalei. No problem with lack of A/C in second BR; stayed quite cool throughout. Perfect size for our group of 3 young adults and one older adult. Loved having two twins in 2nd BR instead of one queen like most properties in the area. Well-stocked, including full kitchen, starter amounts of dish and laundry soap, bathroom amenities, and beach toys, coolers, beach towels, etc. Only issue we had to ask about was the TV, which was a bit confusing initially with lots of remote controls but only one is used. Property manager and concierge were responsive and made our stay perfect! Would definitely return.

Our rental was fine - great location. Was not confident in its cleanliness - cupboards smelled like fish (had to wash the glasses and cups before we could use them because of the smell. Kitchen cabinets could use an upgrade. They are falling apart. Drains did not drain well at all, could use new towels as many of them had stains, and the TV didn't work properly. After contacting the rental agency someone came out to address the TV and its remotes but we never got the issue resolved while we were there.

When we checked in, there was a beautiful welcome basket waiting for us! It was incredibly thoughtful.
The unit was was good size for our family of 4. The corner location was a little noisy but we didn’t hear too much traffic at night.
The unit had all the toys we needed for the beach! Chairs, boogie boards, an umbrella, a cooler to use. It was awesome!
We had a little trouble with some things around the condo not being in working order, but the property manager quickly sent a handyman to fix them. Then we had another incident happen after that, and once again, the manager quickly addressed it and took care of the problem.
I rated the cleanliness as a 3 because some of the dishes I pulled out of the cupboard were dirty and had to be washed before we could use them. Also the extra linens were stained/dirty, so we didn’t use any of those.
We had a fantastic time and the condo was a great landing spot for us. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub nearly every night, and it was fun meeting and chatting with other vacationers.

This was a great place to stay in Kauai. I have older teens and we felt like everything was near by. Also if you are a golfer, the Makia golf course is literally your backyard and is absolutely beautiful. All the amenities in the home were great! Mahalo!

The listing for the condo looked good, but I thought it was even better in person! Clean, cute, and way more spacious than I thought. It was nice having a hose outside to rinse off from the beach before coming in, and we loved that they had beach chairs, boogie boards, inner tubes and coolers we could use. Loved that there was a brita water filter in the fridge too. 👍 The neighborhood is really pretty too and is easy to find from the highway, and is just a quick drive to the Princeville shopping center and Hanalei!

I booked this condo for myself, my husband, and my parents. We came to Kauai to visit family on the north shore of the island. Location is great and we found it to be nice and quiet — though that was the case overall in comparison to visiting in the busier season. We loved the ample shared living room space and the layout allowed for privacy when needed with separate bathrooms, and an outdoor seating area. I appreciated the local guidebooks provided and the charming style felt like we were staying at a friend's house.
I was confused as to where to find the check-in instructions because the email came from ReMax and not through VRBO, but once I received the instructions, all the information and check in/check out was very clear and easy. Overall loved our stay and would rebook here. Great value.

Great place to stay in Princeville. It was great being able to park in the garage and have the use of the beach toys, chairs, coolers, etc. Be careful getting in/out of the bathtub for a shower though - the walls are very high!

Our Princeville stay was spectacular. We drove over 400 miles on Kauai the 5 days we were there and found The North side to be our favorite part of the island. Our condo was awesome, fully equipped with everything we needed for the beach and our stay. I would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting beautiful Kauai.

Ice block for ice chest, Britain’s water for fresh water, beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels and everything you need for a beach day. Condo was roomy and with 4 of us, never felt cramped. Kitchen had all our needs and bed were great.
Yes said co dog ion that can not be set below 72 and only master and living room have it. House was still pretty warm.
The things that need to be addressed is the water pressure. We often just washed hair at the beach showers or outside at the hose! The clothes barley washed, kitchen sink very lite and taking a shower the tub drained so slowly. Others have reported the same issue and I did let management know. Hoping they fix this for others otherwise it’s a great stay.

nice condo in princeville
nice location with parking in driveway. the ac is a little loud but does the job. we only used it for a few hours a day. the kids loved the separate beds in the second bedroom. really nice setup and space. nice mountain views. provided decent towels, coolers, beach equipment, shampoo, conditioner, etc. would stay again.
