Located in New Fairfield, this lovely house for $1,435 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. VIEWS, VIEWS, VIEWS. Direct Candlewood Lake Front Home. Authentic lakefront home for the discriminating vacationer. The home is loaded with Adirondack charm, luxury and comfort. The home offers a 2nd Floor king master bedroom, amazing lake views and a full bathroom, a 2nd queen bedroom on this level with equally amazing lake view, an additional full bath, sitting room and laundry finish off this level. Down on the entry level there is a full bath. A few steps down there is the main living space - a full kitchen with Subzero Refrigerator, 36’ Gas range and dishwasher, a screened door leads out to a terrace with the built in gas grille and outdoor dining area with lake view. Back inside a dining room with panoramic view, gas log fireplace and adjoining family room with wood burning fireplace and exquisite views of the Lake, a quaint breakfast room with tv and a lake view finish off the main level. The walk out Patio level has a full bath and a summer kitchen and pull out sofa bed. The french doors open to an enormous bluestone terrace overlooking the lake. There is a huge outdoor fire pit, kayaks, and paddleboards. Enjoy a game of corn hole for lots of family fun. The dock has a ladder for easy access back onto the dock for swimming. PLEASE NOTE WHEN READING REVIEWS, THE 2024 SUMMER SEASON WILL ***ONLY BE THE LOWER HOUSE*** Wifi/smart tv There is a private beach area, dock for swimming. There is also a ramp to launch kayaks(2-Two person Kayaks, 1-One person Kayak provided) and paddle boards (2 paddle Boards provided ). Kayaks and Paddleboards are used at the renters own risk. We are located in Candlewood Isle, a Guard Gated Community. We ask all guests to be respectful of the community and surrounding neighbors. There is a community quiet time noise ordinance at 9:00 pm. We are 5 minutes to Stop N Shop and New Fairfield Market for Groceries, Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, Deli, (2)Liquor Stores, gift shops and Restaurants (3) Nail Salons and American Pie, Grub Hub, Door Dash and Uber Eats available. Boat rentals available from one of the Local Marinas. Enjoy hours of fun on the Lake and then take a cruise over to Down The Hatch Restaurant(right on the lake with docking) for a bite to eat. What a great place to vacation with your family. The home(s) are clean and you feel like you are in an adirondack lodge with the decor and views. Lots of patio space to hang out, corn hole, grill and enjoy the fire pit. The kids loved swimming off the dock and we also paddle boarded. There are plenty of life jackets in a variety of sizes for all. Beds are super comfy, plenty of dishes and cookware. Shopping center for groceries/food are about 10 minutes drive. Our family had a great time here.

We were four couples taking a some time to unwind and relax together and we definitely found a great place to do so. We worked directly with the owner’s who were just a pleasure.
The homes were clean, beautifully decorated, beds comfortable, and there was everything we needed for cooking, eating on the patio, laying in the sun, paddle boarding and a dock to swim off of. And if that’s not enough activity, the neighborhood is good for walking and there is a gym in the home as well.
We enjoyed reading, watching the boating activity, making s’mores on the fire pit and experiencing some gorgeous sunsets.
It was the perfect place for a recharge!

My family spent most of July at this wonderful property. There are two homes on site and they are both well appointed and clean. We booked directly through Tiffany who was quick to respond and answered all our questions. The main house down at the Lakeside had an enormous slate patio where we spent most of our time. Plenty of seating options, umbrellas, built in grill and a large fire pit. They have paddle boards, kayaks a small beach area and a dock. We rented a boat locally and were able to keep it right on the dock. There are also tennis/pickleball courts in the community as well as a clubhouse with a beach on the lake with a dedicated swim area and playground. Perfect neighborhood for walking/running or just work out in their private gym in the upper house. Outside of the gated community you are a quick 10 minutes to Restaurants, Shopping, bakery, deli, liquor store, nail salon, a Starbucks and a Dunkin Donuts. This was the best family vacation!

We did a weekend visit for Mother's Day. The weather was perfect to grill outside, spend time on the patio watch a few boats go by while enjoying family time, then having a fire in the firepit in the evening. The homes were very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. We worked directly with the owners who couldn't be more responsive! Would highly recommend this property and owners...

Great place to stay. Our family had lots of fun and together time. We were able to use the community beach, tennis courts and basketball. Caught fish off the dock, swam and used the kayaks and paddle boards available at residence. Steven and Tiffany were very easy to work with.

Great Candlewood Isle Home
Candlewood Isle is a special place and the outdoor space for this home is terrific. Terrific location on th lake as well. The houses are eclectic. Some of the cleanup rules were abnormal having stayed in at least 35 homes of this stature but the outdoor space overcomes any of the weaknesses of this property.

IMMACULATE STUNNING HOMES & PROPERTY
Our Family had a wonderful stay at this property. The two homes worked great for us. The homes were super clean, well equipped and the location and views were awesome. We kayaked, swam, paddle boarded and spent the evenings hanging at the firepit. SUNSETS are spectacular. Shops/Dining within 5 minutes, plus many delivery options... Would highly recommend this property without hesitation.

Our family enjoyed our stay on Candlewood Isle. We even had a hurricane and we didn’t miss a beat. A great family gathering place. The two homes were very accommodating.

Very cool house on a perfect part of the lake. Candlewood Isle is a super nice community and this is one of the nicest properties within it. Great setup overall with fantastic outdoor space. The owners were very easy to deal with and extremely responsive.

best house(s) ever!!!
We had the absolute best time here and we will absolutely be coming back next summer hopefully if we are able to rent! The hosts answered us immediately every time we asked a question. There are a ton of stairs so be prepared to walk! The only issue I had was that in the downstairs house the wifi wasn't working, but I took it upon myself not to ask the hosts about it because I loved being a little disconnected when I was by the lake, but I'm sure they would've fixed the issue immediately. When I say the house was well stocked, I mean well stocked. They had EVERYTHING you could imagine! They had so many towels they we washed multiple times and the boating was really amazing. We really had the most amazing time here and I can't wait to come back soon. Thank you for making this trip amazing!

Amazing Waterfront Property
We stayed here for a long weekend with a small group of friends and had an incredible time. The house is beautiful with its cozy Adirondack style and spectacular lake views. Steven and Tiffany were great hosts. We would definitely stay here again!!

The Perfect Spot for our Crew
Our group of friends has been meeting annually for the past 12 years or so. We've stayed in hotels, rental cottages, Home Away rentals - just about everything. We can say without a doubt that the Chila's home was without a doubt our best location yet. It had everything we were looking for. Lakefront location. Secluded area but with access to conveniences. "Cabin-like" feel with modern amenities. This property ticked all those boxes and then some. We spent the majority of our time on the amazing lakefront patio with our feet up by the fire. The west facing view made for immaculate sunsets, and we sipped bourbon by the fire pit as the stars emerged in the evening. The lower house also was the dining focal point for our group of five. We found the kitchen to be ample and well stocked with the basics for cooking and grilling on the stainless steel grill just outside the kitchen. The two house set up really worked well for us - and yes, as others have pointed out - it's a workout. But if you look at my quads post stay...well let's just say you'll be jealous. We took advantage of the paddleboard, kayaks and spent some time fishing off the dock. All in all we could not have asked for more and intend to visit again in the years ahead.

Amazing lakefront summer vacation spot
We (7 adults total) recently came all the way from Europe to spend our 12 day family summer vacation in this amazing lakefront property. First of all, the communication with Tiffany and Steven was always super easy and all questions were answered in no time. They were very helpful even during our stay. On arrival, the two houses were spotless and everything that you could think of to make the start of your vacation easy was provided. You can clearly see that the owners put a lot of effort in their vacation home to make your stay fabulous. The two houses as well as the beautiful and well maintained outdoor areas provided enough room for everyone to truly benefit from this vacation. Although the insides provided great decorations and views, we enjoyed most of our time on the amazing patio right on the lake grilling, kajaking, fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the nice scenery. The location on Candlewood lake was also perfect for daytrips to NYC, Yale University or the south coast of CT. We clearly recommend this property to others and hope to be back for another vacation in the future.

Amazing retreat!
What a fabulous hideaway on the private and gated Candlewood Island. We enjoyed the large wonderful outdoor spaces and seating areas right on the waterfront, grilling, eating and playing games. The houses were clean and had all the amenities to make the trip even more enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you for sharing this gourgeous spot on the lake with us. We will come back soon again!

Amazing lakefront!
My family and I recently spent a week here and we had a fabulous time! The indoor spaces are charming and immaculately clean, but we spent most of our time in the amazing outdoor space. There are gorgeous tiered bluestone patios leading right down to the water with a great dock with ladder for swimming and even a sandy area to launch kayaks and paddleboards. At night we took advantage of the giant built-in stone firepit where we made s’mores and stargazed. The kids loved their time outside and the adults were able to lounge and relax. The sunsets from the lower patio were an added bonus. We’d definitely recommend this property and would love to return!

BEST SUMMER VACATION EVER
First of all I would like to say that both homes were spotless and well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. If you are looking for a relaxing, low key getaway, with some privacy and a gorgeous lakefront to enjoy the sunsets, this is the place to come. I would recommend this property without hesitation. Thanks to the Owners for sharing their gorgeous homes with us. We will be back next year!

This is the sort of place that is maxed out for owner profit at the expense of renter comfort. It’s really two houses, and the one with the most sleeping space has no communal space at all, unless you count standing around in a narrow galley kitchen as “communal space.” This gives the upper house the feeling of a dormitory, and a dark cave of one at that — the master bedroom has no natural light at all, and, inexplicably, has a window that opens onto the toilet area of the master bedroom, and resists all efforts at closing. Anyone who stays in the upper house will spend plenty of time walking up and down about 80 stairs to get to the lower house, which does have communal space, but doesn’t have a large enough communal space or table to seat together the 10 people the house is advertised to hold.

A small group of friends went up to the lake house for a weekend getaway this winter. The house was exactly what we were looking for, had a rustic feeling but all the comforts we were looking for. I would recommend this house and look forward to returning in the future.

Exceeded Our Expectations, Blow Your Mind Property!
We had a long Weekend Getaway at this property with another Family (9 in total). The homes were spotless and had everything we needed for a fun filled relaxing time. Both houses were well equipped, decorated like something out of Home and Garden and had plenty of space for everyone to come together or have time alone. The kitchen was well appointed with a grill right out the door. We hung out and dined on the amazing patio, fished from the dock, rented a boat and had bonfires in the evenings. The sunsets were spectacular and we even boated over to Down The Hatch Restaurant for a drink and a bite to eat. We will definitely be renting here again.
