Nice clean home within feet of Mission beach and 2 mins from Belmont Park. Small garage but was perfect for our rental. 15 min drive to San Diego Zoo, or La Jolla! Will definitely book again next time we visit San Diego!

Great access to beach, Belmont and eateries. Check in instructions need to be updated as there is a keypad at the garage now and no security door only the front door…issues with pizza sauce on the wall above the trash can inside ( that we cleaned off with a paper towel) and the patio table was filthy-we cleaned it also so we could use it…there were only 2 beach chairs that were usable…we enjoyed the cool temps and the close proximity to the beach 🏝️

Everything about our stay was great. Close to everything. Perfect for four people. If there is anything to improve it would be to fix some of the broken outlets in the bedrooms. We all had stuff to charge but we were able to get it worked out. Also there was only enough silverware for 4 people and extra set would have been appreciated. Will totally stay again!!

Upon arrival there was a car parked in our garage; then to our surprise there were people in our unit that didn’t understand how addresses work. We ended up having to find a new rental to stay in

There is a lot to say about this house, some good and some bad.
Pro:
• Washer and dryer on site
• Garage
• New individual shampoo, conditioner, and shampoo
• Water is hot
• 5 Beach towels
• 6 shower towels, face towels, and hand towels
• New dish soap and sponge
• Less than 1 minute walk to the beach and 3 minutes to Belmont Park
• 3 Boogie boards, 2 umbrellas, 4 Beach chairs, and over $50 worth of sand toys
• Hose outside to rinse off sand
Cons:
• Can't use oven without fire detector going off, only microwave and stove top to cook, as well as a grill that has no propane.
• Fans are disgusting dirty
• Floors are dirty, like black on your feet
• Bathroom door doesn't lock or it gets stuck and locks you in.
• Cabinet door in kitchen broke( came off, I had to fix it)
• Fan in matter bed room doesn't work
• Clock on the microwave is broken as well as the timer
Lastly, curtain rod next to the dining table fell and almost landed on my things that were on the chair (glass items)
Location is the best aspect of this home. You can tell they are working on fixing up the units that are being rented out. That being said, the dust and dirt was so bad that my family of 5 were all coughing and had sore throat every day we were there, the day we left, our symptoms went away.
I would not use this home again.

Not ever staying in San Diego before we didn't know quite what to expect. It was wonderful being so close to the beach. Easy walking to everything you need. You are pretty much on top of each other-not much privacy (curtains very thin) but I think that's just San Diego. Neighbors were respectful of noise at least, but have to keep windows open at night if you don't want to feel hot and stuffy. Definitely a challenge to park in the garage unless you are very confident in backing up in tight spaces (primarily a challenge because of the large dumpster right behind the garage) and we had a full size car...suv or truck would be even more challenging, as listing suggests. Home is old and dated but clean and sufficient for what you're getting (location!!)
In small print, the lack of AC is mentioned and we didn't catch that before we booked. If you stay in warmer days, the house does not cool off much. It was very stuffy when we first arrived and took a long time to get comfortable the first night. We were very warm the entire time, even with keeping fans running and windows open, though it improved a little keeping windows open (note-there are a couple of screens that have tears...might want to repair) If you don't sleep well when it's warm, might not be the place for you.
Back bedroom bed we found out our last night was very comfortable but the room with two beds are very saggy. Might consider replacing with one similar to the other bedroom.
Overall, a good experience. Would stay again if there was AC or. better fans to cool things down and move the air better.

I loved that we could walk to the beach within seconds and that is was near so many restaurants. The outdoor patio was nice as well.
The apartment is pretty dated and not everything worked quite right. Overall I was worth staying there for the location

Perfect price for the location. Got what we expected, a decent base for a San Diego stay. The beach is a stone’s throw away, the paths on both the ocean and bay sides were great for walks and runs. The upstairs dining chairs are very loud when moved but the guests upstairs were conscientious. The area homeless are evident but not a problem.

Had a wonderful time. Just the right size for 4 adults. It can sleep 6, but that would be too crowded.

Everything was great. The only thing I would recommend is to put some rubber or felt pads under the chairs. When you are in the bottom unit it is REALLY loud when people upstairs move the chairs.

We were very happy with our stay at this property! The location is great, and it has a garage that my husband’s lifted truck fit into (tight, but it fit). Compared to other places we’ve rented in this area, the rooms are larger, especially the room with 2 beds! The living room was roomy too. We used the grill to cook fish from my hubby’s fishing trip on one of the days. We loved riding our bicycles and/or walking to breakfast and dinner the other days. Nice patio and close to the beach! Owner(s) were helpful and very responsive to my questions!

Felt like a frat house...limited on all kitchen items, toilet paper and overall poor appearance inside and out. We constantly had the company of flies...yes we put everything away and door was only opened to go in and out. Garage door opener worked half the time and parking in the garage was very difficult. Didnt help with the neighborhood garbage cans frequently obstructing your pathway into the garage. Mike needs a major upgrade...clean, update and paint

This is house was immaculate and just steps from the beach. If you are planning to spend your time at the beach in San Diego, this is the place. Just remember it is a downstairs unit (neighbors are not always considerate of this).
