Large living room with ample room to enjoy good conversation. With four full-size bedrooms to accommodate eight happy guests! BBQ/pool area is ready for guests to sit under endless stars and spend the evening. Wake in the morning to the sounds of nearby neighbors' chickens and meandering deer in the front yard, and neighboring old almond orchards of Paso Robles. If you prefer a downtown experience, you can take a stretch of your legs the 3/4 miles to downtown City Park square. All this home is missing is you. We would love to accommodate you! We had some issues with the rental company prior to checking in, but I won’t use that against this review. Sandy tried her very best to fix their mistakes. So yes, this is a beautiful house. The kitchen is absolutely stunning. The photos don’t do it justice. The house is “walkable”. It’s 20 minutes into town with a hill. Ladies - not fun in heels - you may want to plan Ubers/Lyfts. Half our group was fine with the walk and the other half opted for a ride. The hot tub was warm, not hot. We could not get it higher than 93. Which is like a bath temp, not a hot tub temp. I think there might be a governor on it. We are a capable group and moved the temperature higher, but it never got higher than 93. We used it the last night we were there, so didn’t bother calling the rental company - so you might want to check this before you plan to use it so it can be addressed and not put a damper on your stay. The house was spotless. Very clean. The neighbors are quiet aside from the chickens from time to time. The sun room has a funky smell to it. We did not use it. Check in and out was easy! I’m sure a summer time stay would be lovely here. The decks and pool look like a lot of fun.

This house is conveniently located - about a mile walk to downtown. There is plenty of parking and each of the common rooms has plenty of seating for a large group. Four bedrooms (2Q & 2K) accommodated our group of 8 comfortably. Two small downsides - two of the bathrooms don't any counter space for toiletries and there was not a table/lamp next to each side of the bed.
(Each room was different - some had one bedside table, some had a bedside lamp.)
The kitchen has a large freezer/refrigerator and was well-equipped. The only thing we found lacking were drinking/wine glasses suitable for outdoor use, so you will want to bring your own. The property does have wildlife, specifically deer.
We did have a few small issues during our visit and the property manager was easy to contact and responsive. Overall, we enjoyed the property - it was clean, comfortable and easy to check-in/out and work with property manager.

This was a fantastic property with lots of room for a family getaway. Large home with a private pool and hot tub. The management made this an easy, enjoyable process. We will definitely stay here again.

Great property, very accurate to the listing. Beautiful pool, spacious rooms, chef’s kitchen and minutes from vineyards and the downtown area with shops and restaurants. We paid extra to heat the pool which was well worth it. Will plan to stay here again.

The house was insanely beautiful and so accommodating! We stayed with our family for a wedding in Paso Robles. We had a great time cooking in the beautiful kitchen and hanging out at the pool. One of our most amazing stays. Would highly recommend!

This was the cleanest rental i've stayed in. Linens smelled nice and fresh, towels were free of spots and well maintained, and the kitchen was immaculate. The whole house was lovely to use and the outdoor is amazing! Plenty of space to lounge and relax. We made wonderful meals in the kitchen which had all essential cooking tools. If you are looking for a nice quiet getaway or a family retreat, this is your place. Best part is you feel far enough from town to have quiet and close enough that it only takes a matter of minutes to get to downtown. Worth the stay!

The house is very spacious with an amazing kitchen area. The backyard is peaceful with lots to take in (pool, hot tub, grassy area, tables/chairs). It was the perfect home for our group of 8.

Once, or twice a year, a group of friends gather at different locations to play golf, eat good food, and generally have a good time. We take turns finding location and lodging. This time it was my turn. I chose the Merry Hill house because it had all the amenities and space we needed. This property was private yet it was close to shops and restaurants and many beautiful golf courses. The host was friendly and easy to work with. We would definitely choose this property if we ever go back to Paso Robles again.

The Merry Hill property was fabulous for our girls trip. Home is lovely, clean and location is perfect - close to downtown Paso Robles and so many wineries. This home comfortably accommodated our group of 5. PRVR was quickly responsive to calls. Such a great place to celebrate my 60th birthday. Highly recommend.

Our stay was fabulous! The house is well set up and comfortable. There are plenty of supplies and dishes and activities. The property management company had signature touches everywhere that made it feel cared for. We were extremely impressed with the management company who found us this gem of a property's when a day-of emergency made the house we originally booked inaccessible. We enjoyed the spa and pool (even in the 60 degree weather) any more the large spaces inside to gather! The multiple bathrooms and extra living rooms spaces were wonderful for gatherings. The neighborhood is very quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed watching the antics of the neighbors' chickens while relaxing in the hot tub. Comfortable beds and luxury linens made for a wonderful night's sleep. All around this stay made what was a difficult weekend for us into a wonderful memory making event that we will cherish! Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality!

The home was very well stocked, and very comfortable for our stay. We really enjoyed that the pool was pre-heated before our arrival (a must if going this time of year). Plenty of parking, and close to town and convenient to get to wineries, golf courses, etc. Hope to stay here again next time in town!

Such a beautiful home with so many amenities! We were three couples, and had more than enough room. The kitchen is stocked with every amenity and cooking appliance. You could possibly need. The beds were very very comfortable distance to the wineries was great, and you could even walk to downtown Those and walk uphill might not be for everyone. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

We loved our stay over the new year's holiday. This was a perfect home for three families with small kids. Tons of towels, all the bathroom amenities you need, and a fully stocked kitchen with every appliance and tool you could ask for. The fridge, stove, and oven were top notch. Plenty of outdoor space, great pool and hot tub, and an awesome location close to downtown paso robles. We paid an extra fee to have the pool heated (max temp is 85) and it was too cold for the adults to swim in, but our kids enjoyed plunging in when they wanted a break from the hot tub. We'd love to come back during warmer months to fully enjoy the outdoor space. One thing that we noticed was the covered patio area (attached to the master bedroom) was missing a sliding door, so rain water came through the screen door. Would have been nice to use that space if it had stayed dry, but it wasn't a huge deal. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Such a great property. Large kitchen (very well stocked) with huge island was perfect for our nights in cooking dinner. Love how they have both a coffee maker and Keurig options with pods and creamers provided. Had a huge buck (and other deer) visit us one night as well. Close to town and wonderful communication from property manager. Would absolutely stay again.

Great time at Merry Hill! Beautiful, clean older home with gorgeous backyard with pool and hot tub. (paid extra for heating. worth it.) Very private area with lots of wild life. Lots of areas to gather and visit with family and friends.Had minor issue with hot tub that Paso Rentals responded to promptly. Wonderful company to work with! Would love to come back.

The house was in a great location, just out of town so it was quiet and deer were in the yard every day/evening, yet less than a mile from town so walkable or quick ride into town. House was large and very nicely appointed. However, recommend property owner perform some maintenance and upgrades, including new cushions for outdoor furniture, and some kitchen utensils and cookware is in need of replacement. Hot tub needs some refurbishment and water kept at appropriate levels, and pool heater was not working during stay. But overall it was a great place to stay and highly recommended.

We had a great time in Paso and a great experience in the Merry Hill house! The kitchen is great though maybe in need of some new pans/utensils (lots of metal utensils have clearly been used on non-stick pans, etc.) but still had what we needed; grill worked well too. We paid for pool heating which was a bit pricey but definitely worth it. We would definitely rent again for a family visit!

We visited Paso Robles to celebrate a friend's birthday over the Labor Day weekend. The property exceeded our expectations. The beds were extremely comfortable, the showers had good water pressure and nice bath products were provided. The kitchen is huge with everything you need. We enjoyed the pool, it was 110 degrees during our visit so the cool water was perfect! Everything was clean and organized. The location is beautiful and very convenient to both wineries and downtown. We would definitely recommend and will stay here again on future visits!

Older home in a great location with a pool and plenty bedrooms equals a good value. Yes, with an older home came some problems but the property management firm was fast and reliable and very couritous in fixing them. We had fun and we will be back.

A delightful family experience! The grandchildren loved the pool (we did pay the extra amount to heat the pool and it was worth it). The neighborhood is quiet, feels rural although very close to downtown. Bedrooms and beds are comfortable with good linens. The kitchen could use some organizational attention…drawers are filled haphazardly with items, most mismatched…but that said, we enjoy cooking and we managed to prepare some very good meals in this home! BBQ works well, pool is fabulous.

July 2022 Stay
This house is well suited for a delightful family experience! We stayed at Merry Hill with our son, his wife, and their children (age 6 & 10). The neighborhood is quiet, feels rural although it is close to all the restaurants and shops downtown. Bedrooms and beds are comfortable with good linens. There is plenty of comfortable seating at the dining room table. The kitchen could use some organizational attention…drawers are filled haphazardly with items but that said, we enjoy cooking and we managed to find what we needed in the kitchen. BBQ works well. Spending time in the pool was the highlight of our stay at Merry Hill, the pool was an ideal temperature for the kids to play in and yet refreshing for adults to take a swim…we did pay the extra amount to have it heated and that was well worth it.

We had a great stay at Merry Hill. It was well situated for daily excursions and was a great place to return to after a day at the beach or the vineyard. We made great use of the pool and hot tub, plus their was plenty of room for the 8 of us to spread out.

No Sleep Till Paso!
Loved this house! We rented with three other couples for a long weekend of wine tasting and a 40th birthday. Great layout, plenty of space, comfy beds, and the pool+hot tub was icing on the cake!! Couple of minor things could be improved like the sliding glass door to the deck which didn’t open very well, but otherwise wonderful. Would absolutely rent again!!

Thank you. We had a great time in Paso. What a lovely community. The house was great and your hospitality was also. Couple of small issues but all turned out well. Ceramic floors were quite dirty/dusty. Everyone noticed that on their bare feet. Thanks again !
