I wouldn't have been as happy in any other hotel.

The location is amazing. The fact that we had the panorama pass for free bus rides was perfect for the location. Being able to start the day with hot breakfast and a glass of Prosecco was wonderful. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Overall, we had a great stay at a great hotel.

Fabuleux séjour dans un château idyllique, dans un cadre somptueux

Le petit déjeuner est un régal, les produits sont de qualités, le personnel est au petit soin et souriant, nous avons diner le soir à l'hôtel et les mets sont délicieux !

Absolument exceptionnel

Vue incroyable, tranquillité absolue, magnifique hôtel. J'ai particulièrement apprécié toutes les petites attentions et les petits détails qui font se sentir bien, comme le placement des tables au restaurant. Je me réjouis déjà de mon prochain séjour!

Comme c'est un hôtel historique, l'isolation phonique n'est pas celle d'un bâtiment neuf. Peu dérangeant dans l'absolu vu la taille du bâtiment et le nombre restreint de chambres. Et si vraiment, une paire de boules quies permet de s'isoler.

Excellent stay, beautiful property

Beautiful property in a stunning location directly on the lake. The quality of the food is excellent, and dinner on the terrace is particularly enjoyable. Most members of staff are very helpful and friendly.

At breakfast some members of staff seemed overwhelmed. The buffet should be larger and offer more options, which would help solve this challenge.

perfect for instagram but actual experience not so good

the castle is located very far from the city and there is nothing near it. the exterior and public areas are impressive and perfect for instagram photos. we had a room with very nice views.

all rooms don't have any refrigerators. we did not meet the friendly staff. we didn't eat their expensive dinner. most disturbing - from early afternoon until dark all the park in front of the castle is full of many people in swimsuits and blankets making music, noise and even bbq. (all the area is public and it is not the fault of the hotel) - but instead to feel like in an elegant chateau in france you feel like being straight at the beach.

Great location and the breakfast, the full-course dinner served in restaurant also is good.

The road before arriving the hotel is a gravel road, it is very difficult to drag the suitcase.

Location, wonderful building, very kind and helpful staff.

The bed was not 100% comfortable, and there is a strong smell in the stairs between the 1st and the 2nd floor (the stairs on the left side, not on the right side). But other than that, everything else was perfect!

Lovely old school highlight stay on our six week European Christmas Markets / England drive.

Location amazing, generous rooms and front desk management could not do enough to guide us around Thun. Car parking on site,staff in restaurant friendly - breakfast and dinner top notch. ….should have stayed longer if we knew how good!

Control of other guests children in the hallways late at night. (We know how to respect other guests with experience with our four children and seven grandchildren)

It's a Castle.

Living in Australia, we don't have castles. So the opportunity to stay in a castle was too good to pass up. Schloss Schadau did not disappoint. We were met at reception by Helen who could not have been more helpful and was also had a wealth of knowledge about the property. She personally showed us to our beautiful room which had a magnificent view of the lake and the Alps behind. If you stay here you simply MUST have dinner here as well. Again there is no escaping from the fact that you are in a castle ! The dining room(s) are luxurious and the food and the service are excellent, matching the decor. Breakfast is served in the same location. It wasn't cheap, but hey ! It's a castle. If you are able to stay one night or more here. You should do it. Unforgettable.

This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful sites in Switzerland.

We waited two years (because of the corona virus) for our vacation in this magical castle. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful sites in Switzerland. A real castle, gives you the feeling you are a real king. All hotel services are excellent, the staff is friendly and hospitable. The continental breakfast is served in the dining room with a view of the lake We had a pampering, luxurious, and very special vacation. Only good things can be said about this magical place. Although the price is not cheap, it is worth the money. This is one of the most beautiful castles in Europe and the best service we received in Switzerland
