Breakfast, wonderful staff, pool was great

Excellent breakfast with plenty to choose from.
The weather
7.0
Big separate private pool.
Breakfasts are classy, but sometimes too spicy.
Romantic dinner at the beach (paid) is a bargain and made perfect.
Free kayak and SUP.
Different attractions almost every evening (paid).
Lots of green trees, bushes and so on - like living in a forest.
Hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, so to get to walking streets you need to take paid shuttles (around 5 times a day), taxi, or rent a bike/car. Otherwise, stay at the hotel or walk for around an hour.
Shallow water and dirty ocean floor, lots of rocks, you can swim almost only in the pools (July 2023).
Everything is shabby. Bungalow itself looks cheap: wobbly door, ripped curtains, terrible shower wrongly made, that’s why after every shower you flood all the bathroom floor. But I liked roof windows in the bathroom.
A lot of stairs due to hill location.
Lots of fauna in the evening: lizards, snails, frogs, mosquitoes etc.
We were expecting more from Centara chain, but if you are coming here despite it all - book high category of the room.

Nice private beach, awesome staff, nice villas in a lush garden. Quiet area.
Noisy aircondition, very high prices for food and spa (x3 - x5 'normal' prices. Impossible to swim in the ocean (rocks, dead corals, seaurchins, jellyfishl

The only plus point about the hotel is the staff friendliness and warmth and the food was very tasty
The hotel is very old and needs renovation badly. The pool tiles are broken and dirty, behind our villa there was a dump of broken branches, water accumulation which smelled so bad that we couldn’t stay outside by our pool. The tent in the restaurant is stained and dirty, the metallic pillars are rusty.Walking around, there is strong sewage smell and stagnant water everywhere
For USD 200, we expected a very high standard comparing with all other hotels we stayed with during our getaway.Definitely not value for money

The villa was lovely. We had a perfect location close to the pools, beach and restaurant.
The resort location is remote and it was necessary to take a shuttle bus to visit the local towns. There is no on site shop so it became necessary to travel by bus even to stock up on water.
4.0
Breakfast, the hotel being in the jungle
Reception was not as expected, very bity and not smooth. General areas not well maintained and in need of some work. Room was small for 3 people and again needed work. Not as shown in the photos at all. Beach small and no safety on the kayaking

The beach front location was excellent, the variety of food for breakfast was great, the 3 pools were great although we only swam in one of them. The staff are brilliant, very friendly & helpful.
The steps up & down to the room & facilities were a huge problem. If you have a problem with mobility this is not the place for you. we had 103 steps from the room to the eating area.

Great location. Pool and beach area well maintained. Beds comfy and are huge. We had a deluxe ocean view. It’s worth spending the extra to get one of these rooms.
The food and drink are incredibly overpriced. We paid for all inclusive and almost everything was included apart from some spirits and any bottled beer. All inclusive was £50 a day

location and villas were nice
with the exception of one of the front office staff who was great. the other receptionists were unhappy , not helpful and looked like they hated their jobs. valets and porters and cleaning staff were great.

great staff, beautiful outlook, good food
a LOT of stairs! built on a hill so no surprise there, was a bit of a chore at times though. Great stay nonetheless although was a long way from the main areas……which is sometimes a bonus

Large comfortable villa. Huge comfy bed.
Right on beach.

Little bit outdated, need refreshing
Doors are wobbly, they do not close properly
Strange smell on balcony

Peaceful nature, Direct access to the beach, Privacy in the villa
The AC compressor was loudly working. Unfair charging at BBQ dinner.

The beach and pools.
A little tired and old

Amazing place if you are looking for a quiet peaceful place. One of the most beautiful and cleanest private beaches on the island with light sand, blue waves, large stones in the water. Great breakfast, great three pools. Transportation is convenient by scooter or car.
The room itself was very disappointing, it is quite small and with all the windows closed, without any view, it feels like living in a basement. If you pull back the blinds, you can see the dirty windows and everyone passing by can see you. The room has a rather old ventilation system with a lot of noise and the room has a bad smell, even after cleaning, because it is poorly ventilated. Very dirty sunbeds by the sea.
The staff try hard, but if you come in with a specific request, it won't necessarily be taken into account.
The spa is very average, definitely not worth that kind of money (or local masseuses do quite well for little money right on the beach, or if you want luxury and a super impression, you'd better choose Tamarind spring).

There was only one bell boy rostered on during the peak check-out time. I called the front desk to request some help bringing two 20kg suitcases up the stares, and no one showed up. My partner and I carried our suitcases up the stairs ourselves in the scorching heat. I think it isn't appropriate to only have one bell boy on duty during the checkout time especially when the hotel does not offer any alternative ways of transporting the luggage, i.e. elevator. I would say this has definitely left a lasting negative impression.

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS
I cant rate this resort high enough, not one thing I can say was not good.
The staff are attentive, the rooms are super comfy and well designed,
The breakfast is very good, lots of options
3 pools to choose from but the main one is on the beach area.
I came to carry out a resort inspection for my business to recommend to others , for sure this will be high on my list
A must stay
Nothing that I didn't like

Beautiful views, lovely pool area. Has a great private, clean beach with plenty of loungers. The restaurant is right near the beach and pool. Staff were very friendly. They provide a shuttle into the nearby shopping areas, at a cost per person.
This hotel was great, however, it seemed very cut off from everything. We came to experience the culture and see the sights on our own (not having to rely on shuttles), whereas we found this hotel to be one that appeared to have people staying in it that just wanted somewhere to lie in the sun. No judgement to those people, and if that's what you're looking for, then this place is perfect! We came to explore the sights, however this hotel did not offer scooter hire and even discouraged it in their welcome letter. It was a beautiful resort and I would recommend highly, however, not if you want to get out of the resort and explore.

The staff was wonderful, Ball did a wonderful job assisting my Mum up and down the hill daily, all the staff where fantastic, even the security man when leaving the hotel would wave you out when all clear of traffic, not that there was much of that.
Thank you to all the staff
