too many mosquitos, even inside the room! despite putting anti mosquitos measures from second day onwards, it was uncomfortable in the nights.

Beautiful property, though it is a gargantuan size, giving it a feeling of being empty. A variety of swimming pools are available, although sadly the prettiest pool was out of service during our stay. Most of the pools are not heated and were too cold to use in February. I understand this as it is so hot in Jordan for the rest of the year.
The majority of staff are excellent and very friendly. I'd particularly like to mention Ivan, who was friendly, enthusiastic and looked after us very well. Also thanks to Eid in the main dining room for his excellent service and friendliness.
The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms were excellent; great water pressure, products, robes and slippers. It would make a huge difference to the rooms if they had additional decor items such as cushions vases etc. The one floor lamp in our room was a popular IKEA lamp which most definitely does not belong in a 5 star Kempinski hotel!
On our last day it was unseasonably cold. Complimentary hot chocolate was offered to guests and it was delicious, thank you.
We really enjoyed visiting the beach to try floating in the Dead Sea. By chance when approaching the shower at the end of our dip, I noticed there were large urns of mud and salt. It would be helpful if the life guards on the beach pointed this out, or showed some interest. They instead were absorbed with using their mobile phones. All the other guests on the beach sat up and took notice then promptly followed us and did the same with the mud - nobody realised that the urns contained mud.
The hotel has a generous late check out. As our flight was late at night, they offered us use of the changing rooms later in the day which we really appreciated. What a shame that the water was cold in the showers!
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had very high expectations of the Kempinski brand, I would say that there is probably a disparity between 5 star hotels in Europe versus other parts of the world.
I wasn't going to mention this as I did report it to the hotel while we were there. However I fully expected something to be said to us by management at check out but it was not....while my children were in the small kids pool, one of the life guards SPAT into the pool. This is absolutely disgusting and unhygienic.
Throughout the hotel you will see screens advertising the various dinner options. We were so excited to try "Indian night" at the main dining room on Tuesday night, only to get there and find it was closed. I asked why and was told it had been cancelled. So why is the hotel still advertising it on the screens? I asked a "lady in red" staff member whose unhelpful reply was; "I will let the IT department know". We had room service instead which was extremely dissapointing. I had a club sandwich and was unable to eat the chicken, it was so hard and over cooked. For the standard we received, it was extremely over priced.
Staff should stay off their smartphones while at work. I felt like I was disturbing them which was uncomfortable. Even a "lady in red" staff member looked irritated when I approached for help with something, she was busy scrolling at the time.
Lunch at the poolside Mediterranean bar - before we finished our lunch (1st day at the resort), we were handed a card with a QR code to leave a review, with the names of 4 staff members written on the card. Maybe it is just me, but I find this intrusive. It is becoming more and more prevalent in hospitality to pressure guests to leave a review during their stay.

The property is massive, but that's okay as there're buggies ever ready to bring you anywhere on the property.
The property has its own private access to the Dead Sea, with prepared mud for you to slather on your body, shoe change and shower facilities.
Loved their breakfast spread too!
All the staff we met were very friendly, very helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Kudos!
We wished we could stay another night.

rooms is exceptional. views are either overlooking olive trees or pools or the sea.
Pool heated with great service and staff
breakfast is very good including sparkling wine
The alcohol prices are outrageous in comparison with the market. they are over 200% than market value which was a real disappointment

It’s easy to find, has secure parking, generous sized rooms, plenty of pools, places to eat and very, very helpful staff.
Not a fan of the Rehan Restaurant. I asked for a table on the terrace if possible and if not then a table for 2 with a view. On arrival was offered a table for 1 centre of the room next to a pillar. Second choice had 2 seats but only cutlery for one and no side plates. Menu was still good but was disappointed to find a basic sea food choice after specifically choosing the restaurant for my wife’s live if sea food. The staff and service were still amazing though.

The staff were very helpful, hospitable, pleasant and really tried their best for guests. Ivan is exceptional.
The Dead Sea and mud experience is highly recommendable and this hotel is said to be the best in the region.
- The rooms are ok, basic! Not the usual Kempinski standard.
- The spa is disappointing and not 5 star and very overpriced for what is it. It looks old and tired and needs a revamp. Some of the facilities were switched off such as the jacuzzi so I had to find someone to switch it on. If you do go I suggest you take your own towels as brown towels and purple robes aren't nice and not fresh for a spa!
- I tried to visit the Gift Shop but the cloud and smell of cigarette smoke in the shop was too much so couldn't go in. Not pleasant! I suggest they prohibit the shop assistant from smoking indoors.
- The breakfast was ok. The staff are very pleasant and willing but need training. I had to get up and find staff to ask them to clear my plates. I asked for coffee and was surprised to get an espresso in a regular coffee cup served with no milk. Possibly they think coffee = espresso. I would expect a 5 star Kempinski hotel to know how to serve coffee to international guests.

Food was good, not great. Nothing else to mention.

All the pools were great. They have x2 infinity pools. One is a quiet area the other one has a DJ and bar . Perfect spot for the sunrise. Beautiful view of the dead sea. The dead sea area, really liked the fact that there was water there, the staff provide towels and showers near the dead sea. Breakfast was excellent, food was fantastic, I only stayed 2 days which was not enough! I would recommend staying here for 4 days then heading off to other parts of Jordan. The staff park your car for you. We felt completely safe. The staff are friendly and helpful. My mum actually stayed there for 8 days and loved it! The gym was great too had a lot equipment for weight training. I travelled with some friends, this place is a perfect vacay for couples, families and friends!
Not sure - probably more alcohol drink options. I get it is a muslim country, the staff are making cocktails but some are not the greatest.

Amazing place to stay for relaxation and luxury. Lots of pools and spaces to hang out so doesnt feel like all guests are in one place. Would highly recommend the panoramic rooms as these offer unlimited access to spa facilities.
Not all staff spoke english so at times it was difficult to get things that were needed. However overall staff experience was great and helpful.
The mediterraen restaurant ran out of 4 main dishes one evening which was a shame given once in the hotel you are limited.

Very beautiful estate, easy access to the dead see, delicious food, super friendly and helpful service everywhere. They even arranged toys for our baby and helped us to find a lost toy. Special thanks to Kalid from the Lebanese restaurant, and Eid and Ahmed from the Obelisk restaurant for making our family trip with our baby a very pleasant stay!

The perfect combination of the legendary Jordanian hospitality with the Kempinski luxury. The staff is super welcoming and the food is delicious. The bellydance show is great. Also, we could choose between 3 restaurants and 5 pools, which is definitely a must for a long-term stay. In addition, the friendly cats were a bonus. :)
