Room was good size, clean and staff where very helpful
The bathroom door was not wide enough for my wife to get in the bathroom with her wheelchair. Unfortunately no accessible rooms where available

The staff were pleasant and a good breakfast was provided.
We payed £165 for a deluxe room. It stunk of dampness and if the shower pressure was turned up to the highest the water would just pour out of the shower.

Kind and polite staff. Localisation is good.
Small swimming pool. Steem rolm out of order. Chloride is overwhelming in the pool and jacuzzi.
Very small room. Clothes Hangers are above coffee facilities. TV us installed on the side (photo attached).

Value for money
No storage at all. A bedside table with no drawers. A hanging rail above the kettle is a bit odd

Position
Gap around the bed was a little tight but it was functional and compact

The bed was comfortable, ample car parking and the location was fine
We booked a suite, we were called on the morning of our stay to say the suite wasn’t available and they had downgraded us but were giving us 50% off the cost of a deluxe king. Firstly this didn’t happen, we were refunded the difference between suite and king but no further 50% off.
We were told as an apology the room would have the ‘vip extras’ - this amounted to a bath robe each, 3 cans of pop and a couple of packets of cheap crisps. The room itself was very small so being packaged as a deluxe king as we were told is quite the stretch.
We were given complimentary breakfast, it was free but that was as good as it got and in the end we went to a cafe down the road as it was Luke warm and poor quality. The second floor where our room was stunk of cannabis and it took us going to tell reception (despite two cleaners being on the landing) for someone to try to get rid of the smell, they didn’t do a great job but thankfully it was time for check out.
The above sounds like a lot of complaints but after booking a suite as part of a present for my wife to see a nearby concert to be downgraded on the morning of the stay and promised a lot to make up for it this hotel is really lacking sadly.
Won’t comment on the pool etc as we didn’t use it.

The food was lovely , everywhere was very clean and the staff were all lovely
Our room was right opposite the lift shaft so we very noisy late at night and you can hear people talking loudly as they wait for the lift , disturbed our sleep for quite a while until late in the night

Good location with onsite parking- free if you join their rewards scheme which is also free. Facilities were excellent. Room was a little small and the shower could do with refreshing.

B&B went fine , just waiting to check inn as we arrived a bit early, nice modern look decor , very pleasant.
car park , we paid for overnight parking at reception ,then got a parking fine few days later so we had to follow this up with phone calls. to make sure that the fine can be cancelled. a bit concerning to get a fine, after paying at reception.

My booking was correct but they made an error checking me in so they had to interrupt my evening twice to change the name on my card. PLUS they insisted i paid an extra £5 at my room because the person they confused me with had paid less for the room. So in spite of their error, I had to make another payment.
I also noticed that the room was noisy but during the evening it wasn't too bad with other noises and TV going on - I thought it was just a person having a noisy shower next door and it would stop soon. BUT it didn't - it was clearly a laundry room as I could hear washing machines and/or driers during the whole night meaning i simply did not sleep. I told the desk in the morning but they insisted there was just a normal room next door. This makes me cross as they are calling me a lier.
Also note that they charge £12 for Blue Badge parking which I find shocking. The check in person said he could offer free blue badge parking IF I signed up to their rewards plan. So it's clearly easy to offer free if they want to. So I agreed to filling the form on my phone which also took longer that the few seconds he said it would take.
When I complained in the morning to the desk person about the noise she gave me a card with the name of the person to send an email to. So I now have to spend more time chasing this up to probably get a discount on another stay, but the last place I will stay in Nottingham is this hotel. Did I mention the road noise! I know I sound like Mr Angry, but I wanted to be prepared for important meetings in the morning and it was not the hotel stay I needed.

Stayed a few times over the years since I came to live in Nottingham in Mercure Sherwood.
It's a lovely hotel and nod to the lace industry in the design and decor is wonderful.
The outside stairs to access entrance to hotel lobby could provide disabled guests with additional help ie ramp.Blessings.

Very clean and easy accessible.
Check in was a little late for our circumstance but it is understandable as to why.

Stayed here many times. Its ok. Location is very good for me visiting Family.
Breakfast was better but hot water tank, always makes very bad Tea.
Was surprised they are now charging £12 per day for hotel guests to park
I had contacted the Hotel about having a bathroom suitable for me. I have a fractured ankle and not weight- bearing for 10 weeks and walking with crutches. The Hotel did not reply to me.
At Reception, was very helpful and said all the rooms had walk in showers and asked for a non slip mat, which was provided.
I got the impression that that they had no disability bathrooms. Certainly not offered one and can't stand without crutches.
Also the bedroom corridors had not been vacuumed and lots of bits on them. Not a good impression of cleanliness.

Team, room and food offering. Breakfast slightly more than I would have hoped after paying for a room. Same as visiting guests not staying at the hotel.
As above.

We checked-in on Christmas Eve for a one-night stay (checking-out on Christmas Day), to take advantage of their "Christmas With Mercure" promotion.
We paid for a room upgrade, and the room was excellent, with a fabulously comfortable bed.
We took advantage of the swimming pool, steam room, and sauna; and we had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time.
The bar staff need a special mention, because they were excellent and attentive in every way, and they certainly know how to make truly fabulous cocktails. 10 out of 10!
Christmas Eve and the bar had run out of Baileys! WHAT? Everybody knows that people overdose on Baileys at Christmastime......and they had run out of it!
Whoever is responsible for ordering and restocking the bar at Mercure Nottingham, need to have a serious word with themselves!....UNFORGIVEABLE!!
