Lovely old building with some history attached in perfect location.

Relace shower curtains with fixed screens and provide netting to keep bugs out when windows are open at night. The hotel was too classy for shower curtains!

beautiful old house, excellent location a few minutes into town and beach. we had a lovely big room, bed was comfortable and shower was good. breakfast was good.

Breakfast was great in a lovely conservatory, although a little warm due to all the glass. Room was great, with a nice sea view. Location close to town and parking on site. Staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much effort, really felt like a family run Hotel where they all cared about the clients.

Really beautiful hotel on set on beautiful gardens. Great location for the train station, local shops, and restaurants. Complete peace & quiet.

The bed was very solid, not a very comfortable mattress, and the room was very warm, even with a fan.

The building it's was was beautiful, it looked like a castle. The breakfast was delicious with fresh eggs from the ladies chickens. The staff were well friendly.

A very historically important building in Swanage, and great to support an independent venue....staff lovely and Michelle made a huge effort to make us welcome.

Room 10 needs upgrading especially the bathroom.

Excellent hotel with a friendly and warm welcome. Our room was wonderful, large and comfortable with some original features. Great sea view. Breakfast was fabulous. Would definitely return.

The size of the room was huge and it's location room 4 had fantastic views. The breakfast was great, everything you want from cooked to continental.

This is the third time we have stayed there, twice in the hotel and once in the lodge, enjoyed every stay , we will be returning in the near future, highly recommend .

The location to Swanage town is fantastic, car parking brilliant, the hotel has a genuine family house feel, the conservatory out back has a good breakfast area, looking out to the well kept garden.

Nothing it is a perfect hotel for all ages & ideally situated for a walk to the beach/Pub/town/tarin to Corfe.

The receptionist was great - polite and helpful. Location is good, just a short walk from the town centre. Large, free car park.

Our double room was tiny. No bedside table. No space to put our suitcase. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was very small. Nowhere to keep out wash bags - we had to store them in the bath. The bedroom was very cold. I was told the heating would come on when the temperature fell below 19 degrees - it was more like 9 degrees in our room and we had to ask reception for an electric heater to keep warm. Breakfast on the first morning was 'continental' and was poor. Limited choices of ham, cheese, etc. Definitely NOT worth the money. The waitress tersely told me I would have been informed about the continental breakfast at the time of booking. I read my booking confirmation thoroughly and could find no mention of a continental breakfast. Our cooked breakfasts on the second day was delivered to the wrong table. The plates remained in front of the guests whilst they debated about whether they had ordered black pudding. Eventually, the waitress realised she had made a mistake and brought the plates to our table, but by then the food was getting cold. Having our food breathed over by other guests was definitely not Covid-secure! The bar bragged about how many gins and whiskeys they stocked, but there was not one brandy. At almost £150 a night, this was very poor value for money.

All the staff very excellent and could not have been friendlier. The breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Very few power points in the room to charge phones, tablets etc, but we managed.
