Amazing hotel on France/Swiss border. Would definitely recommend

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel. Friendly and helpful receptionists, welcome lemonade, coffee machine working early morning, comfortable bed, fridge, the position….

Superb

The staff were amazingly welcoming, kind and helpful. Loved being so close to the border. Great having the pool. Breakfast was very good. Shower was powerful and easy to use. We were able to leave our bags to go for a final wander around on the last day.

Lighting could have been a little better in our room for reading at night.

It was okay.

The check in was quick and the receptionist was very helpful. The location of this hotel is very close to the Swiss border and there are local buses to take you into Basel (Bale).

I have booked a superior studio room. It is tiny and has the feel of a bedroom, that has had a very small cooking space added to it. Most people who stay here are only here for a night, and probably do not cook. We have been here for a week and with a bit of juggling have been able to cook our evening meals in the room.  The room was very warm and thankfully being in the corner the doors opening onto the balcony provided fresh air. In the summer there is a fan for if it gets too hot, as there is no air conditioning.  The Aparthotel is being run as if you are renting an apartment, rather than being an apartment in a hotel. The means that they can stop cleaning the room every day. If you want daily cleaning or perhaps your sheets to be changed, it costs extra. They can also charge extra if you do not clean your kitchen before you leave. The sink has no draining board, so everything has to be dried up with a clothe immediately (not very hygienic). The cooking space is okay, but the pans provided are all too big for its small surface. This space really hasn’t been designed with meal cooking in mind. They have provided a kettle and a pod coffee maker, however both have short leads and take up all; of the counter space between the sink and the hob. If you do not clean the kitchen before you check out you will be charged 25 euros.  You can pay for breakfast, but its expensive so we did not have breakfast in the hotel Instead using the artisan bread shop across the road. I have stayed in Accor hotels all over France, England and even in Japan. This Aparthotel in Saint-Louis is not to their standard. I really am not used to having to pay to park and an at 10€ a day, that is 70€. Sadly for us this was a very expensive place to stay for a week, especially when you add the cost of parking.

Excellent!

Everything was great, the apartment was very clean and spacious, with all the appliances that you need. The location is perfect, near Basel and not far away from the airport, and the taxi costs about 20 EUR. The staff are very helpful and polite and if I visit Basel again, I will come back here for sure.

Felt let down. Could do better.

A cheaper alternative than staying in Basel. The tram (11) was two minutes walk from the hotel. There were some nice touches; such as complimentary coffee, tea and pastries at reception. The bed was also fresh and comfortable, whilst the bathroom was clean. The staff were also very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately, the property was let down by a number of issues. The free wi-fi didn’t work for my final two days. This badly affected my whole stay as I need internet access for work. There was also an infestation of ants in my room. This I reported to reception who offered me an alternative room. Other than the bed and bathroom the room was quite tatty with stains on the wall and on top of the headboard wall. The lampshades are also old and stained. Also there were nails sticking out of the skirting board which I cut my foot on. Overall, the room could do with a deep clean and a coat of paint.

Great stay for the price

Absolutely fantastic location, direct line (tram 11) to Basel old town. Lovely bakery next door, 15-20 min walk to Rhine river, to parks, and airport shuttle.

My only dislike comes from guests slamming doors... Some mechanisms would be ideal to prevent that. Room was little to none soundproof so if you unlucky to get active neighbors then better to bring earplugs with you. Window was perfectly soundproof tho 🙃

nice and comfort place with a good price

the place is very convenient, we arrived at saint louis station ( gare est train) then took a bus 604 just in front the train station and stop at the Frontier Station just in front of the hotel . You can just walk to Basel or took a 604 bus or the other option is by Tram 11 to Basel. if you walk to Basel Sbb it would take about 30 minutes . the facilities are complete and i love the smell of this hotel 🥰 very nice

Clean, comfortable rooms, highly recommended.

Our room was on the top floor, which I asked for. The children loved the pool, and the showers were wonderful Lovely breakfast too. In fact, we liked it so much we stayed there again on our return journey back to Lugano 8 days later.

Our modern tomtom took us to a blocked-off road. It had the same name as the one with the hotel/ After driving around in the dark for 40 minutes, always arriving back at the same blocked road in the middle of an industrial estate. I had decided to not bother and were in the process of driving back to the autostrada when we saw another Dogana (border post) There are 3 on 3 different streets within 300 yards of each other!!! Anyway, I spotted the hotel and after that every thing was fine. Very annoying, as the receptiopnist on the phone must have thought I was crazy and clearly didn't believe me. But we had a laugh afterwards about it.
