Spacious, clean, with parking
They need a second coffee machine at breakfast!

Room was comfortable and clean... great location and staff were friendly and helpful
Being placed in a separate house away from the main building

Comfy and ambient bar/restaurant with large windows overlooking lawns and trees. We met up with family we hadnt seen for 7 years and spent 9 hours relaxing and eating there. We didnt even bother going out. Very welcoming front desk person and a server with a great sense of humour (older lady)who added some joy to our day and at also breakfast. Loved the attention to detail with the Oxford brogue interior design theme.
We would get a room on the other side of the hallway next time as we got woken by deliveries into the carpark. Otherwise it was beautifully quiet. The bath/shower was very slippery. There was no slip mat so we put a towel down in the bottom of the bath when showering. Great heated towel rail but wished there were face-cloths. Absence of face cloths seems to be a common theme in all the hotels we have used in the UK.

Everything. The theme was brilliant. All based on the Oxford clothing industry.

Food was excellent. Breakfast was extremely varied, and dinner was fabulous.
The staff were lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much bother for them.
The room was perfect for the three of us. Very relaxed break.
Nothing could have been improved upon.

Loved that some of Oxford history for example Oxford shoes was embedded in the design of the hotel and room. Great lounge area by a fireplace and lots of information to access things to do around Oxford. Lots of car parking spaces, super clean hotel, excellent service and friendly staff.
Room felt a bit cold although air con was on and an oil heater was provided it still didn't feel enough. Also lighting could be better as there was none in the centre of the room everything was by the bed or only by the front door.

Good location near the bus stop and close to city centre.
Comfy bed and nice furnishings.
Friendly staff.
We were given a room with a disabled access bathroom despite neither of us requiring one/requesting one and I’m not sure if this is a feature of all of the rooms but I just hope it wasn’t given to us when someone else could have used it and genuinely needed it!

The room was very cosy and well decorated, and the bathroom very clean and new and very well decorated. The huge TV was great! I liked the whole feel at the hotel, it felt well looked after and the staff were very responsive.
The only thing was that the food was very very expensive. Our dinner was lovely. The breakfast just should not be that expensive, as you end up having a little fry up and a cup of tea and it was £16, and sometimes £18. The coffee machine was not great and they should have a proper barista coffee machine so they can make Oat lates etc. The bathroom needs a toilet brush and a grip matt for the shower for people with mobility issues, my mum nearly slipped over getting out of the bath. But everything else was lovely!

Good breakfast, nice staff
No soundproofing in bedroom, small bathroom, bedroom very basic

Easy to get into Oxford very regular buses takes 15 mins. Quiet location with parking, lovely room with good air con and super comfy bed. Dog friendly.
Paid for breakfast but had to order something to be made from menu to get your money's worth and we didn't need that. We should have paid less for a basic buffet breakfast which I have to say was wonderful. Don't know if that's an option.

Comfortable room, staff helpful & knowledgeable. Breakfast buffet was plentiful
Evening meal food a bit pricey
8.0
The large bedroom and excellent bathroom
The friendliness of the staff
The location
The cleanliness of bedroom and bathroom
The over-priced breakfast! Staff, although friendly and helpful, must be more aware of food running out. This happened every morning. The coffee machine for Cappuccinos had broken down. I could not have a boiled egg as I found the looks of the fried breakfast unappetising.
The fact that staff in this hotel and this country generally seem to think that emptying ashtrays and wiping down tables outside is not part of the their job.

Very friendly staff. Cleanliness of room.

Very welcoming staff, fantastic breakfast, perfect location, super clean.
Only downside which would make me consider before rebooking was we were given a ground floor room with a view of a wall and external stairs. No natural light or view.

Overall this is a good hotel to stay at if you are visiting Oxford. Conveniently located and easy driving distance to the town center. Facilities are clean and functional. The room size was pretty good (for the family room with a sofa bed) so it was convenient for us to stay with our kids.
A couple of things didn't work in our room - the telephone and the safe. The safe got fixed on the day, however the phone was never fixed - and so we couldn't use it during our stay.

The property is well presented and the staff mostly friendly. The rooms large and offering in them and the building very nicely presented and we were very happy with the standard.
We did find some things in our bar empty and left in the fridge but the lad on reception apologised and gave us a drink voucher to the bar which was a nice gesture.

The renovation has been well done, and the hotel and rooms were stylish and comfortable
Our room wasn’t prepared for us properly when we arrived (family room with sofa bed), and when we asked and it was made up, they only made for 3 people when there was 4 of us. Also only had towels etc. for 2 people
Seemed short staffed, breakfast pretty moderate

Not much to like
The room wasn’t clean. The bathroom was mouldy. It was a poor example of a three star hotel
