Extremely well-managed and efficient; spotlessly clean; safe and secure; completely quiet at night. Calm and comfy. Very close to the action of Foch square but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful.
It's a small point, but the wifi-tho excellent in mostly all parts of the hotel-was a little spotty in my room, which was towards the back.

Initially the staff was helpful — shared some useful information about the area and how to get to the equatorial line.
Eventually instead of a nice individual room with a window and a desk (which I needed to be able to work), they gave me an ice-cold dormitory/family room with 6 beds, without a proper window and without a desk. When I asked to give me what I really booked, a lady said she cannot help because they don't have any other rooms left. So kind of my problem. Well, that's why I cannot give a high score to this hotel. I'm sorry!

Miguel and his staff were amazing, it felt as though we were staying with family rather than in a hotel. The location was quiet but convenient, the room was pleasant and clean. It was lovely to see how the hotel looked after their younger guests.

Very comfy mattress! Silent hotel & neighborhood, friendly staff
You need to ring the bell everytime you want to get in or get out, it’s annoying. I waited once 5min outdoor in the rain because no one was present at the reception.

It is a charming small hotel that is well built and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were there during the protest and they made sure we were safe when we went out. The area is convenient and close to plaza Foche but quiet. All this and the price was excellent.
The wifi was often slow.

Stay at this place!! The owners are so nice and welcoming. I felt at home, although it’s a hotel. They accommodated my needs, and I felt very comfortable in my room. It’s what you get for the price, (which is not a bad thing) you will hear a little noise, and I had the single room, I believe. It was a bit small but, as a budget traveler it was great for me. As long as I have my own bathroom, I’m happy. Definitely stay here :)

very light in the morning. The curtains are not dark enough so all the light comes in so it is impossible to sleep in.

This hotel is by far THE BEST hotel I have stayed in the last few months in South America. The attention of the staff is incredible - they give their 100% to make sure you have everything you need and feel comfortable. The room we stayed in was super clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and included fresh juice and coffee, which we could have more of if we wanted. If you are looking for a comfy place to stay for great value in Quito - that's the one!! You won't regret.
All was perfect!

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet and comfortable.
One can find a much more substantial breakfast for $3 in Quito.

Service was excellent. The location is safe and near to a supermarket and coffee shop. The room was very clean. You can order meals for an extra fee. The breakfast was excellent. The wifi was good in the room and the bed was very comfortable with nice blankets. The street is not noisy.
Old blurry TV with only local channels.

Hotel Andino is (in my humble opinion) one of the best little family-run hotels in all of Quito. It is super quaint and lovely with a friendly and helpful staff who will treat you like their long lost friend/daughter/cousin/uncle. You will be showered with greetings each time you return from a busy day of sight-seeing. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated using traditional fabrics and colors with wood or tile floors. I've stayed here several times, but always on the top floor. I'm not sure what the rooms are like on the ground floor in the back of the hotel (rooms 9-12). Breakfast (coffee, juice, egg, croissant and fruit) is served until 1000. That's great news for people like me who, when they are on vacation, don't always want to rise at the crack of dawn. Their location is perfect because it is near multiple forms of public transportatIon (including Ecovia) but is on a quiet street sandwiched between la Mariscal and la Floresta. Technically, I believe Hotel Andino is in la Mariscal. You have easy access to all of Quito. Miguel and Paola will help you figure out how to get to wherever you are going. If you desire a palacial room or want Sheraton-like accomodation, this is not your place. But if you want to meet friendly Ecuadorians and experience a traditional stay, then Hotel Andino is the bomb!
The shower curtain in my bathroom wasn't long enough to keep the water from dispersing all over the floor.

The owner Miguel was absolutely great! He was very kind and helpful and gave us so many tips about trips in and around Quito. He was also genuinely concerned about our safety and informed us about which area to avoid at night. Muchas gracias Miguel!

Great location, close to Plaza Foche and Floresta. Super-friendly owners, good outside patio to chill. Nice breakfast as well. Reliable internet, great shower (not always like that in Latin America)
Had a room with four beds (two single-person, one bunk bed). Having one bed for two persons would have been convenient, and a small desk to work at

Very hospitable and helpful in every possible way. Miguel and Jessica and fellow staff were very kind and attentive and friendly. This place was basically a really quaint and well kept/run bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were delicious with made-to-order eggs, freshly squeezed juices, fruit, cereals, delicious bread and non-stop coffee! They providing a clothes laundering service which was very reasonable and with a fast turnaround. When I wanted to catch a bus, Miguel personally walked me to the bus stop (a few blocks away!) and provided step by step directions. He also recommended and organized my tour to Otavalo/Cotacachi, which was just perfect. The hotel is in a safe, quieter, residential spot right between the Mariscal / Plaza Foch area and the La Floresta eateries area. An overall fantastic stay. When I return to Quito, I will come back here again!
I cannot think of anything that could have been better, except for maybe getting a room on the interior or in the upper floors since my room was facing the patio, which is very nice and in the middle of the action near the lobby and walkways to the rooms, but has less privacy and more noise than the other rooms perhaps.
