Good atmosphere, cosy, close to the city center and main bars. We had a great time with my friends. We payed £75 for 3 people which was the equivalent of a single room with double bed in most places. Vary happy. The staff was also nice and good humour. Good music at the bar, pool table available and a small area to watch movies. We had an issue with our card which was resolved on the spot. The elevator needs to be activated with room card which to me made me feel slightly more safe and even if I forgot my ticket to get my bag back they asked “security” questions to ensure it was really mine before giving it back.

Location, facilities, staff.
Dormitory sleeping always a challenge with others. Felt safe, very clean. Too much snoring!

They charge a lot for 3 bags around 6 pounds. There should be a discount.

very noisy in hotel until very late at night making it difficult to sleep. A guest had defecated outside the lift during Saturday night. This was a very unpleasant start to the morning.
Too noisy. Very basic even thought it was not especially cheap.

Great location, close to the centre of Newcastle, the bar is very good with a good selection of drinks at a good price, the check-in and check-out was easy, the staff were very friendly and informative, and nothing was a problem, the room was exceptionally clean and the bed very comfortable would definitely recommend.
Nothing, what's not too like at the price

Great location for the city centre. Good, basic accommodation with friendly staff and an on-site bar which served tasty pizza.
Bathroom in shared dorm is a little small but perfectly clean and functional.

I loved the modern room (I stayed in the four bed women only room). Very comfortable beds with a nice ensuite. There was a TV (which needs to be fixed: room 312) and a nice desk/chair. Excellent customer service by Shevan (unsure if this is the right spelling).
I didn't look closely enough at the website when booking because I didn't realise that there is no kitchen space to cook your own meals. Perhaps the restaurant could be upgraded to offer more options for meals.

The staff were friendly, the people were even friendlier. I felt very respected and happy with my time here. I have to admit, I'm biased with this review. I stayed here to go see TNA/IMPACT Wrestling and had a VERY good time. So I'm always going to associate this place with that show. :D Also, there's a Greggs nearby. Can't go wrong with that.
I suppose there could have been a few less beds in my room? It was a tiny bit crowded. But it wasn't claustrophobic at all and overall I had a good time. Really trying to reach for something to complain about here, can't really come up with anything lol.

Great hostel from start to finish. Staff are brilliant, rooms are exactly what you need for a group away trip. Couldn’t fault it one bit.
The Staff, the location, everything.

I stayed here years ago when it was a different company and wasn't keen on their plastic pod bathrooms. This put me off staying here again for a long time, and I now regret this because the bathrooms are now totally different, just like hotel bathrooms, and the place is great. Very comfortable mattress and there is a little ledge thing next to your bed to put your phone on. There is a sitting area and table in the room, and a TV. The location is perfect, very central but not on a main road so it's quiet. I was happy that they have some women only rooms, because many hostels now don't.
There is no way to make your own hot drinks, you have to pay for them. The ensuite bathroom situation is ideal for a group of friends, or if you have the whole room to yourself like I did, but if you are sharing with half a dozen strangers it could be a little awkward.

Bike-packing friendly - Garage available with bike stand to lock up.
The staff where very supportive for the few concerns I had, (none to do with the accommodation itself) and where more than willing to help.
Convenient location - close by to City Centre with several shops and cafes with early opening hours.
Great company - There was a diverse mix of people, from hikers to travelers, all of them friendly.

Staff extremely friendly and gave out a lot of useful information
Location in a sense of it is a little walk away from the train station but that can’t be helped

Good location and clean
Paying to store my bag…. I’ve never experienced this before and if I’m honest it really annoyed me as this was just a wee overnight with my 2 kids so obviously we booked early train on arrival and late one home to make the most of the trip. Just an expense I could done without and if I’d have known I would have bought a bug case instead of individual bags. Lesson learned
