Lovely location.Nice walks and a gem of a church with medieval Wall paintings.
Food was good, pub was busy, staff doing their best and cheerful with it. It's a very old building so maintenance is a problem.. Its up for sale so next owner may have to invest a bit in renewing old wooden windows. Otherwise can't fault it even the tea and cocoa selection in room were excellent quality.
The stream in the village is polluted..nothing to do with the Fox and Hounds but Vale of Glamorgan council should be doing something!

Lovely location. Very friendly staff. Very comfortable room.
Some areas a little tired (stair carpet, garden furniture)
A hot breakfast would be welcome.

Broken tap in room, The breakfast was terrible-Gone off milk and rolls that were rock hard.Breakfast was totally inedible, I felt embarrassed for the staff because they tried. Clean property though.
Clean room but smelt of chip fat in the room.

Breakfast - full welsh cooked breakfast served up from Friday, Saturday and Sunday - good portions - plus cereals, fruit juice and toast and jam also available; continental breakfast served up on Monday and I understand for the rest of the week.
Dinner - good menu available with portions more than adequate.
Room - Light and airy and our room had the extra advantage of a sofa bed if required.
Good Bar and extensive gardens
What made our experience extra special was we had good warm sunny weather over our weekend stay
Nothing we didn't like

Friendly Staff and a warm welcome. The room was spacious and the shower was the most powerful shower I have ever had. The room itself was clean and location for my work was perfect.
The cleanliness of the bathroom was not brilliant. It was clean but there was mould in the shower area and around the sink but overall the rest of the room was clean.

Lovely location, helpful staff and lovely food in the pub.
Room wasn't as clean as it could be with cobwebs in corners. Other than that though it was lovely.

Excellent location with good general pub facilities and what looked to be a very attractive outdoor area by the stream for the summer and early/late seasons. Good food - not so good flat whites!
We just couldn’t get comfortable in our room and hence stayed just the one night instead of the 2 booked.

The atmosphere was great and the staff were
lovely - friendly and competent. The rooms were
pleasantly quiet. It was exactly the weekend away we needed.

Breakfast and location was lovely. Friendly helpful staff. Powerful shower.
Room was not the cleanest. Lots of cob webs, tea splatters up the wall, some stains on the towels and really tatty chair. Tap in the bathroom sink was really loose. Over priced based on other places we had stayed during our trip.

What a beautiful little pub. Amazing wine and the food looked gorgeous. The fire was perfect for a cold autumn night and the owners and manager so welcoming and hospitable. Hands down the best shower I've had in a long time and a very comfy bed. They had even left us prosecco for our anniversary and it was nice to see a cafeteria for the coffee! Excellent value for money and a great stop over for Cardiff airport. Highwayman Inn where we were parking was literally only 9mins away.
The room is in need of updating however the owners have only had it for 6 weeks. I prefer a continental breakfast but this was a tad sad. They have plans to improve both.

They served cider
On arrival asked if paying by card or cash immediately realising the kitchen was closed the only way to eat was crisps at the bar then taking bags to room find window open then having to ask for heating to be put on as room was very cold having paid full amount in advance we then realised no cooked breakfast and Saturday evening no kitchen still again on Sunday no cooked breakfast would of appreciated a refund for breakfast of £20 which is what I paid for breakfast out overall very disappointed don't like being ripped off by having to pay in advance and not receiving the service also lack of stock control run out of jack Daniels on Friday night nothing for me to drink on Saturday no effort to replace JD
